Despite his criminal activities, Roy has a strong set of morals, developing a strong sense of honor and commitment to most anything that he got involved with. Most notably, helping the Arrow. When the Arrow saved his life, he devoted most of his time to saving people, often getting arrested along the way due to sloppy vigilantism, though he was always released shortly after. He was quite haunted by the murder of a police officer at his own hand. Even though he was not in his right mind, he holds the blame for himself alone. Shortly after his stint as the Arrow’s partner, he was trained by both the Arrow and the Black Canary. Though, eventually, tensions ran high between the Arrow and Arsenal, the latter turning to drugs and alcohol. The constant torment and self-abuse became so great that he developed an even greater tolerance to pain and thus, often finds himself on the receiving end of torture during his adventures with the Red Hood and Koriand’r, often mocking the aggressor. Addiction - Roy turned to the bottle and the needle when he fell from the Arrow’s graces, seeking to cope with the loss of his partnership and all of the Q-core stocks. He was left with nothing but his vices. Though he still struggles, he is recovering and does his best to resist temptation by keeping busy
Allies
Red Hood- Often regarded as Roy’s best and only friend during his adventures with the Outlaws. That is, until he was introduced to Kori. Just as with most of the men that have shaped any part of Roy’s life, there is a bit of a standoffish relationship. He doesn’t always agree with Jason’s methods, but trusts his judgement. One of Roy’s favorite past times is picking Jason’s brain, often frustrating the Hood.
Koriand’r- Roy admires Kori a great deal, from her incredible strength to her expertise at commanding her starship. Their relationship started off strong. Kori accepted his over-confident, mocking attitude and Roy became what Kori had hoped that humans could be for her: Accepting, loyal and compassionate.
Green Arrow- Despite the apparent distaste that Roy feels for Oliver now, they were once a great duo, dynamic in their own right. Roy respected Oliver as a great mentor and teacher, proud to fight at his side at one time. But, when they fell out, Roy felt that Oliver turned his back on him. Losing his mentor was a strong blow that led Roy to fall hard on his addictions.
Black Canary- Though not his main Mentor, she was one none the less, being one of the best martial artists in the Justice League. Roy had grown to value her as an ally and grow protective of her due to her relationship with Oliver. He would give his life for that woman, deciding that once he'd kicked the heroin thanks to her help when he was brought to her by Green Lantern.
Thea Queen-Roy's former flame. Oliver's little sister. When they first met, Roy had stolen her purse, though he evaded her, she ended up finding him later. Thea must've thought of trying to help and change Roy, deciding to give him a job at Oliver's club, Verdant. Though, due to his training with Oliver, he had to constantly lie to her about his whereabouts. They'd soon part when Thea found that Roy was the Arrow's partner and had been lying to her. Roy had been remorseful, but he wouldn't put their relationship before Thea's own safety.

Audition post
Moonlight shone through the transparency of a bottle of Jack Daniels, as well as the amber liquid, sloshing around within. Roy stumbled around his apartment, kicking over his coffee table, soon landing against the side of his tattered sofa. Roy groaned, tilting his head backward, his dazed emerald eyes would open and stare blankly at the ceiling. There were dark circles around his eyes and the tip of his nose was red as if he had a cold. Images ran through his head, remembering the incidents that took place leading up to his point. The hit that changed everything, when he was struck by Oliver and tossed out on the street when his addiction came to light. Sure, it was his fault but had Oliver even thought to help him? Had he even thought to stay at his side? No, he left Dinah in his place. Roy had followed Oliver into countless missions and battles, following orders, breaking a few for the better. But that was how he was repaid for his loyalty and service? Screw him, screw the league…Screw the Titans. Not a single solitary one of them showed any sort of care.
His anger rose, bubbling in the back of his head. Forcing himself up, he shouted loudly. The exclamation was loud and animal, a declaration of his distaste and utter fury. He drew the bottle to his lips again, taking a large gulp of the firewater, soon whipping the bottle at the wall. It shattered easily, but a shard of glass shot right back at him, scoring a cut on his cheek. The archer cursed himself and his drunken stupor, wiping the blood trail that formed from the cut just below his eye. He found himself stumbling back onto the couch, reaching toward the remote. The skewed vision made it seem as though the clicker was a million miles away, though it was really just an inch from his fingertips. What was it all for? How the hell did he let it come to this? His eyelids covered half the windows to his soul as he slipped into yet another drunken state: Depression. It fell over him like a sheet, covering him and shielding him from the light of the world, letting in no reason or cheer. As he slid lower onto the couch, he was close enough to grab the remote and click the power button to activate the TV.
“Reports have come in from the Police, claiming that the Killer Croc has escaped custody and fleeing the authorities. Citizens are advised to remain in their homes. Croc is considered highly dangerous.” Spoke the News Anchor, as she stared right into the lens of the camera as if speaking to Roy himself. Giving him a sign.
Roy shot up from the couch and shuffled toward the door, grabbing up his quiver and bow as he reached it. His shoulder bumped against the wall as he struggled to regain his balance. His head was swimming as he lifted his hands to tie a bandana around his head. Time to go. He gave his face one last pat as he ran out the door. This was it. He could end it all here with the reptilian man. Death by Croc.
