Mission Statement and Vision
I'm Bruce (Batman), founder of [DCU] with the following vision. I wanted to create a roleplay Group & Community where people with different ideas, opinions, and philosophies can come together to exchange ideas to enrich their RP experience, where players can:
1. Create their character origin, modify, or adjust it to a level they are comfortable with. Have you ever read a comic where something happened that made absolutely no sense at all or a dumb movie scene that left you scratching your head? Here's your chance to possibly change some of those dumb moments or elaborate on them.
2. Have creativity to redesign the historic timeline of their character's past, if you like the comics origin based on New 52, then you are welcome to pursue that origin.
3. Fewer Rules = Less Admin intervention = More time spent writing fun. It's really that simple.
Our mission is to establish a Roleplay Community based on the DC Universe. As a member of our community, we stand as literate and creative writers seeking like minded individuals within the community. Our content focuses on story & character development whilst other parts of RPC focuses on erotica based writing. Roleplay is a hobby; we're here to write and have fun, we can't promise you'll find RP here but we can help increase your odds.

Rules revised (2021 edition)[DCU]'s environment follows these 8 rules
1. Politics and Religion are divisive in nature. Everyone has opinions and they are allowed to express those opinions. What I'm asking is that no one disrupts roleplay with Out of Character bullshit like these topics. Racism, sexism, and drama are categorized as politics since these things are subjective (and bullshit.)
Politics and Religion in roleplay are allowed.
2. Out of Character Sexual Harassment is not tolerated in [DCU]
(Help! I'm being oppressed!)
If you're being sexual harassed, tell the person they are sexually harassing you and ask them to stop, don't even be polite about it.
(Help! I'm oppressing others!)
If you're sexually harassing someone, and they are asking you to stop. Take the hint and fish elsewhere you weirdo. Do you want to be banned from the group and made fun of? We'll laugh at you for being such a pathetic person. Just stop it.
(Help! They haven't stopped!)
Go to Batman. If you're being harassed. He'll sit down with both parties and talk it over in a 3-way conference. If a player rejects the conference, they are banned. If you agree, then we can fix this shit and we move on to happy times.
(Help! I don't want to confront my offender! Why should I be banned?)
Because you're a coward who is an accessory to sexual harassment of other women. You're only going to leave anyway. Reading this here is probably enough to make you not even join the group.
(Help! Batman is suggesting men can't be sexually harassed!)
Prove me wrong.

...Shut up, Dick.
3. Out of Character chat should not disturb the balance and harmony of the room. If OOC chatting interfere with roleplay, take it to PM.
4. Writing Standards Apply. Grammar, Spelling, and Punctuation must be proficient or adequate and progress the story of the RP. Admins will tell you if it is slacking. (Be capable of structuring a sentence that is comprehensible, where one sentence corresponds to the next with appropriate punctuation for transitions.)
Define as acceptable forms for roleplay channels.
(a) Paragraph - 4 sentence minimum.
(b) Multiple paragraphs - self explanatory.
(c) 3rd person writing perspective.
(d) 3rd person writing perspective with small bits of 1st person.
Unacceptable forms for roleplay channels
(a) Cosplay RP aka "Shit posting"
(b) 1st person writing perspective
5. The combat system in [DCU] is "Free form T1" allowing each individual to decide what happens to their character and what doesn't. Using creative language like "If the grenade hit, character X would feel shrapnel piercing their flesh and digging into their veins." is not controlling character X, it's simply telling the players the consequences of being hit by the grenade.
Alternatively. You can resolve PVP conflicts with dice rolls. [DCU] standards for dice are as follows.
Less than Human = 1d20-1 (Critter)
Human = 1d20+1 (Batman/Lex Luthor/Amanda Waller)
Superhuman = 1d20+2 (Deathstroke/Zatanna/Metallo)
Metahuman = 1d20+3 (Superman/Lucifer Morningstar/Darkseid)
6. Have a sense of humor.
Yep. I'm making this a rule. If your first instinct is to be butt sore and pissed off when someone makes a joke at your expense, this is not the group for you. We all get jokes made at our expense, we take it, and move on.
7. Sexual Content
Age required: 18+, if you're not 18...I'll politely ask that you decline to join us. If you have that kind of moral fiber, I look forward to playing with you when you ARE 18. Hats off to your iron will.
Sexual content is allowed in Roleplay.
(a)You can take sexual play into PM.
(b) Erotic story telling is allowed, there are sections for it.
8. Benevolent Dictatorship
Batman is a dictator that aims to rule with compassion and fairness, open to feedback and criticism. So lets make this rule clear: Doing things in excess will provoke an admin response.
What is "excess"?
-Spam posting gifs in the RP channels.
-Spectators disrupting someone else's roleplay. (Having permission doesn't mean its "ok" It's rude, dude.)
-Spamming chat so others can't be heard.
-Posting private pictures of someone else. (Also considered harassment)
-Cosplay RPing in RP channels. (aka Shitpostting)
How Do I Join?
The application format is here
You want to follow these steps:
1. Copy and paste the format above into your own document (Notepad, Microsoft Word, Google docs, Microsoft One Drive documents, Pastebin or SOME OTHER writing document. Note: You may want to be able to edit the file, Pastebin doesn't let you edit or update it unless you have an account so keep that in mind.)
2. Once you copy and paste the format into your document, proceed to fill it out.
3. Once done, send the URL to Batman, wait for him to review. You're done!
Most people get cold feet with applications, so let me address 2 things.
1. It serves as YOUR character profile, so other people know your character's power set and background (if you include it.) You can always edit / update it later if you want to add more information to it.
2. It allows admins to review your quality of writing and make sure you're up to the standards of the group.
