[DCU] Skype Rules and Policy
Permission: [DCU] Members only (Application and Canon Roleplay Activity) microphone not required, ask Dinah, Steph, or Kate, they don't have one. ^_^
Purpose: Socializing and organizing entertainment activities in a safe and friendly environment.
Freedom of Speech Policy: People are going to talk about things that you disagree with or you don't care about. If you don't like it you can always leave and come back later when the topic has changed or you can ignore it.
Ribbing / Poking Fun: Don't take it to heart, most players use it to breakdown barriers and get to know you or someone else.
Assertiveness and Disposition: If one player has a disposition against another player, respect each other's boundaries and avoid direct contact. If admins are informed of one player asserting themselves into dialog, the asserting player will be removed from chat for a short period of time. When you join the skype chat you are considered to have a "clean slate" if you have a disposition towards a player, notify an admin and they will treat the disposition as a restraining order between two players. We won't monitor and aggressive enforce this restraining order (as some players get over the disposition and become friendly) but if this doesn't happen notify an admin with a complete log and they will investigate it.
Hurtful Behavior: Is completely unacceptable and has the severest of punishment known as "apologizing to the offended party" they don't have to accept it, but you do have to apologize or you will be removed until you do. We're all on the same side here and sometimes people are passionate or hyped in the moment...Dust yourselves off, shake hands, and move on.
Prospects / Guests Visitations: Prospects are potential players who may be interested in [DCU]. Guests are friends or family of members within [DCU].
Both are permitted to visit [DCU] Skype Chat for 12 hours max per day. As a rule of thumb, after whatever activity they were doing is over and they're done talking to people, they should be removed.
Honorary Members: Roleplayers who are recognized as members of [DCU] without meeting the qualifications. These players must be voted and approved by the admins in order to obtain this status.
