To: Diana (Wonder Woman)
From: V (Donna Troy)
Earth 1
During the last snow of December, a package arrived for Diana. The return address belonged to none other than the beloved sister of Diana. Donna had worked hard on the present believing that it could make up for putting her duty as an Amazon before her duties to her family. When Diana took off the extra brown paper a box would be revealed covered in tiny pictures of Hippolyta, Donna, and herself. Her sister had valued these photographs more than any friendship. Many of the photographs were hers and had been on her first camera. Once Diana opened the box she would be surprised to find it filled with golden glitter. If she reached inside the Amazon would feel three rectangular objects. Lifting them with ease, Diana would place each on the counter and dust it off. The first rectangular object would be one of three picture frames. This particular frame was a picture of Diana in costume as Wonder Woman. Donna had taken an amazing picture where the sun had shone brightly as Diana's eyes when she smiled. Her hair flowed majestically from the wind that day and Donna would never forget how proud she was to be her sister. The second picture frame featured Themyscira on a marvelous day where the birds each sang their majestic songs. Donna had figured her sister would miss their home the most. In the last photograph, Donna expected her sister to burst into tears. She had managed to take a picture of Hippolyta, Diana, and herself on the island. How? Well, a few tricks from Dick and his gadgets. All three lovingly held each other tightly as though it were their last days on Earth. Their internal beauty had exemplified their external beauty with soft smiles and gentle laughter. It was so rare to see them all so happy at one time. On the back of the frame was an inscription written in gold ink:
Dearest sister,
I'm so sorry I could not be there in person to watch you unveil my most favorite of my photography collections. However, I have the same collection in my own home. Each day I pass by it and stare into years passed. Your beauty has no bounds no matter what lense I use. There is no doubt in my mind that Hera herself will always guide our family back into each other's arms.
Merry Christmas, Donna
