Powers / Abilities
Personification of Dreams. Morpheus is all that will ever be of Dreams, Nightmares, Sleep, and Insomnia. He has complete control and manipulation of such things.
Immortality - As an Endless entity he is immortal and incapable of natural death.
Sorcery - Dream's mastery of magic is unquestionable, for this reason many do not challenge Sandman in such ways of direct conflict.
Shape shifting - Morpheus is capable of changing his outfit and appearance at will and before a human could blink.
Illusionary Casting - With deception and eloquence Morpheus is capable of creating powerful illusions that incite horror and creations of ones wildest desire. The most frightening thing about this ability is how close reality and imagination truly are. As punishment Dream can create a living nightmare within reality to anyone.
Dreaming Reality Warping -
Teleportation - So long as dreams of the location are in effect by mortals, Dream is capable of moving instantly to any location in reality. He is also capable of moving into mystical realms so long as he honors the governing rules.
Dream Conjuring - He is capable of creating stories and ideas within the minds of others to inspire or punish.
Insightfulness - Dream is perhaps the most creative and imaginative with his thinking out of all Endless. He often creates new concepts and ideas to solve the problems he encounters. This ability often helps history's most prominent figures develop ground breaking changes that shape mortal society. Examples such as Adolf Hitler, George Washington, Steve Jobs, Bruce Wayne, Benjamin Franklin, Ross Perot, Henry Ford, Walt Disney, William Shakespeare, Neil Gaiman, Howard Phillips Lovecraft, Clara Barton, Susan B. Anthony, Cleopatra, Marie Curie...Need the list go on?

The multiverse could be described as a great Icosahedron, a refined star shaped object with sharp pointed indexes on all sides with round bases attached to a multi-dimension shaped square with its sides rounded to create smaller sides within the square's frame...At its core there is a design that is powerful, sturdy, and strong by nature. It is at the tips of its spiky lances that it finds vulnerability that ultimately destroys the beautiful craft of such design. It is by this fact of structural design that Morpheus has been brought back to life and placed in the position of power within the Dreaming. The multiverse has been shattered and reassembled in such a crude manner that its smaller dimensions have been crushed and the fragments drift across the universe, but like the multiverse has its own gravitational pull, those fragments come back and stab into the very fabric of the universes.
The job of surgically puzzling this together was one only a creature of Dream's knowledge is possible. Delicately Morpheus examines the shattered fragments splintered inside a Icosahedron. His loyal servant comes to him, holding a scribes journal with a red back and cover with a gold trim wrapped around the edges of the book, linking one side to the other by the book's spine. He stood before Dream, the Lord of Nightmares or The Dream Weaver, whatever his title he stood at six foot, three inches and black charcoal colored hair, with pencil inked robes to match his oily opal eyes that were directly contrasting to his pale white skin. Lucien began to speak to his master. "May I be of service, my lord?" "No, thank you, Lucien." Lucien would offer a solemn nod but remain awaiting instruction.
Morpheus studied the sculpture of the universe. "What do you make of the bleeding, Lucien?" Morpheus questioned, already having formed an opinion himself, he needed outside perspective, one who wasn't himself. "The bleeding seems to gravitate towards the most brilliant of minds, my lord. From my observations they are minimal in the damage they can do." "The damage they *can* do is beyond what you and *I* can imagine, Lucien. Mortals do not govern themselves as responsible for their actions. The progression is intended to be in such way to impede their growth and permit full maturity when they are ready for such knowledge." "Excuse me, my lord..." Lucien replied at the most convenient moment. "Should these mortals obtain the knowledge and secrets to the multiverse, should that not signify their progress?"
Dream stared blankly at the sculpture before him. "An astute observation, Lucien," Dream lifted his hand and held it towards the Icosahedron star-shaped sculpture while continuing to speak. "The memories caused by this 'bleeding' can alter and shape the events of each universe. The nightmares caused by the destruction of one planet, the suffering caused by a future that has never happened...These universes were clumped together like slabs of mud without any measure or individual tasked with monitoring this change. This is why my siblings and I were put into existence to maintain and manage such a system. Now a mortal has taken upon himself to 'fix' the multiverse and the cost far too great without any responsibility burdened unto him. *Imagine*, Lucien, two mortals with such knowledge and power?"
"It would seem to be an excellent assessment of the situation, my lord." Spoke the faithful scribe, it was at this point that Dream spoke once more. "I'm unsure if something should be done and what I should do. I sensed in the conscience of Bruce that he knew of two others who have suffered from this bleeding." Lucien's respectful and dignified tone came to seek command. "Shall I search for these individuals and await your deliberation?" Lucien had pulled out a feathered pen along with opening his journal. Morpheus gave a nod. "Yes, Terry and Helena...Find them and I will determine what to do upon each case." Lucien nodded and turned upon his heels to leave Morpheus to his deliberation upon the bleeding within the universe.
