Whether it's benching 1000 pounds, exerting himself to the maximum for hours at a time or performing acrobatic stunts that would put some Olympic leveled athletes to shame... Batman has honed his body to be the best it can be in all physical matters.
Superior Will: Batman has the focus and drive that can't be shaken or broken down. Pain will not limit his ability to function, making Batrman even more of a dangerous opponent. Whether he sacrifices sleep or even at times his own life, he'll do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Hand to Hand Combat / Martial Arts: Batman is a master of multiple forms of martial arts, and is one of the most skilled hand to hand combatants in the DC Universe. His most prominent forms of fighting styles include Tae Kwon Do, Ninjutsu, Boxing, Jujitsu, Dragon Style Kung Fu, Judo, Muay Thai, and Capoeira.
Weapons Mastery: Along with his hand to hand combat training, Bruce has mastered all forms of melee weaponry, ranging from sticks, swords and knives.
Lock Picking: There is no lock Batman can't unlock with the right tool.
Escapology: As part of his long and enduring training before he became the Bat, to his practices with the likes of great Giovanni "John" Zatara, Batman has been known to be able of getting out of any trap or binding.
Intimidation / Interrogation: Striking fear into the heart of his enemies with his skill, brutal tactics, and aggressive demeanor, the ability to intimidate and get answers out of suspects comes naturally to Batman. Psychological and physical torture is somewhat his specialty, breaking a man down to nothing. Sinestro Corps even attempted to recruit Bruce based off his ability to induce fear among others.
Stealth: Ninjutsu training gives Batman the ability to blend in the shadows, move about quickly and quietly, and use tools such as smoke bombs in order to appear or even disappear without anyone even realizing it.
Genius Level Intellect: Since he was a small child, Bruce has been able to process and retain information at an accelerated and consistent rate. It is a trait that allows him to face super powered opponents, allowing his cunning to make up what he supernaturally can't do.
Photographic Memory: Having total recall, Batman is capable of remember past events or images rather easily.
Polymath: Bruce has studied and gained degrees in multiple disciplines, such as Biology, Technology, Mathematics, Mythology, Geography, History, Criminal Science, Forensic Science, Computer Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, and Medical Sciences.
Detective Work: Batman is known to be the greatest detective in the world for a reason. With his genius level intellect, photographic memory, attention to detail, and all the studies in which he learned overseas such as criminal science and forensics, Batman is able to find and piece clues together that would otherwise fly over a majority of peoples heads.
Master of Disguise: Bruce is capable of shielding his identity from others the use of skilled acting, make up, and different costumes. He has a hand full of different identities in which he uses should he not want to be seen as Bruce Wayne or Batman.
Leadership: Batman is well known for his leadership, capable of bringing out the best in others. He has experience in leading the Justice League of America, Batman Inc and his own business, Wayne Enterprises.
Business Management: Sometimes it just comes down to the numbers. Bruce is very experienced in business management and the understanding of the financial market. With his managing skills, he has ensured that Wayne Enterprises either sits above or is on par with other industries and businesses.
Equipment:
Batcave: Not quite something he carries around his person, but it is his base of operations and where he stores most if not all of his equipment.
Batmobile / Other Vehicles: The Batmobile serves as Batman's main means of transportation. Holding a top speed of 220 (350 if using after burners), it is armed with heavy caliber weaponry that also carries explosive rounds, bullet proof tires and windows, and can expel different spikes and gases for evasive maneuvers. For extra defensive measures, the Batmobile has a heavily armored mode which covers the entire vehicle with thick layers of steel but renders the vehicle to remain stationary while in this mode. For stealth, the vehicle has it's own cloaking device that reflect all imagery off itself, causing it to be invisible to the naked eye. Batman also has other means of transportation such as the Batcycle, Batplane (Aka The Batwing), and Batboat, all holding similar defensive, offensive and stealth equipment as the Batmobile.
Bat Suit: The costume which assists Bruce in striking fear into the heart of his enemies. Weaved in Kevlar, the suit itself grants Batman some resistance against blunt force and small fire arms and explosives, all while providing him a high level of range and mobility. The suit is also highly flame retardant and insulating.
Boots / Gloves: His gloves have spiked edges and can give off high electrical charges for offensive and supplementary means and both his gloves and boots are reinforced with metal, making it his main means of deflecting attacks and weaponry. His gloves also act as a control some of his equipment such as accessing his Super Computer or manipulating the Batmobile.
Cape and Cowl: The cape is weaved in Kevlar, while also acts as a flame retardant for extra protection, and is laced with a metal that when hit with an exact voltage, expands and hardens. Combined with the electrical force his gloves give off, Batman can stiffen his cape for gliding purposes. The cowl, which has enough lead weaved into it to nullify X-Ray vision, acts as a video and audio transmitter while harboring defensive measures for anyone who attempts to remove it off his face without properly knowing how. (Knock Out Gas, Electric Shock, etc) The white lenses also grant Batman thermal, sonar, x-ray and night vision. It also has facial recognition features that can help Batman identify his targets from files used form his Super Computer.
Utility Belt: The yellow metallic piece of equipment that wraps around his waste is what holds a majority of Batman's gadgets.
-Smoke Capsules: Kinetic force causes the bombs to explode in a thick grey smoke, only to clear within 20 seconds.
-Flash Bang Pellets: Activated with kinetic force, this capsule creates a bright flash of light and loud explosive sound which blinds and deafens anyone near by.
-Tear Gas Pellets: Activated with kinetic force, the capsule lets out a cloud of tear gas.
-Knockout Gas Pellets: Kinetically activated pellets that produce a knockout gas, capable of causing most individuals to fall unconscious
-Cryo Capsules: Both kinetic force and a heat source above a 37 Degree's Celsius touching the capsule for more than 10 seconds activates it's effects, releasing a cryonic acid that freezes over anything near by.
-Batarang: A weapon that unfolds and is used similar to a throwing star, being able to puncture objects with it's sharp edges or create blunt force with it's flat edge. Can also be uses similar to that of a boomerang.
-Explosive Batarang: A batarang armed with explosives in it's center. Holds an automatic three second charge before exploding, unless adjusted.
-Bat Tracer: Small devices that can stick onto surfaces and send a GPS signal towards Bruce Wayne's privately owned satellites which then transmits to his super computer, allowing him to locate the tracer anywhere on the globe. Battery life limited to 12 hours.
-Bat-Saw: A portable saw used for cutting down objects.
-Magnesium Flare: A stick of magnesium that can be properly cracked to illuminate a bright light.
-Lock Picks: Tools to assist Batman in picking locks.
-Re-breather: A device used to supply Batman with oxygen, often used when deep diving for long periods of time or avoid breathing in harsh air borne chemicals. Holds 2.5 hours worth of air supply.
-Bat Cuffs: Bat shaped handcuffs, resembling Special Forces handcuffs. Using a one-piece design they slide closed and have to be cut off, using a special tool given to the Gotham PD.
- Batclaw: The grappling gun is Batman's easiest means of traveling across long distances or ascending to higher levels. It also can serve as a tool to grab items and yank them towards himself. Attacked to the hip of his belt.
-Sonic Bat Caller: A device that sends specific sonic frequencies out into the air which attracts a swarm of bats to his location.
-Kryptonite Ring: A single piece of Kryptonite forged into a ring to fend off Superman should he even be mind controlled or turned evil. Rarely kept on his person and generally stays in his Batcave, but does have a special compartment for it.
-Remote Control Interface / GPS: The very front of the buckle has special controls which allow him to control his Batmobile and other various vehicles while having a tracking GPS to automatically summon the vehicles to his exact location.
-Defense Mechanisms: Anyone who tries to remove the belt without proper knowledge of how to do it will receive electrical shocks and / or a spray of knock out gas to the face.
Powers / Abilities
Batman has no superhuman powers or abilities.
Weaknesses
Human Body: Even in spite of his peak conditioning, Batman can still suffer from the same damages any other human being might endure. If he's poisoned, he's going to get sick. If he's shot, he's going to bleed.
Hostage Situations: Though Batman often finds a way around this, hostages often serve as a common weakness for him... at the very least, it holds him back from fully engaging his opponent if they are threatening the life of an innocent (and at times not so innocent) person.
Loner: Batman originated as a loner and often preferred to work alone, apposed to joining a team. Even with the addition of his Bat Family, creation of Batman Inc and joining of the Justice League of America, when things aren't working as he see's fit, he may bump heads with his team mates.
Trust Issues: Connected to him being such a loner, it take's quite a lot to get Batman to trust you. Even as a Justice League member for as long as he has, he has strategic plans on how to defeat each of his team mates should they ever turn on him or become evil.
Firearms: He doesn't use them. He'd sooner throw the weapon and try to knock someone unconscious rather than fire a single bullet.
The One Rule: Batman isn't a killer. He won't kill. No matter how much it seems as if the world would benefit from the rather timely death of certain individuals, Batman refuses to be the one to do it or tolerate others practicing such actions.
Important Relationships
Thomas Wayne:
A great businessman, a superb doctor, but an even better father. He was a well respected and influential man in Gotham, which only made his untimely death that much worse for the city. As a child, Bruce had always looked up to his father, and even to this day, Bruce will inwardly seek the guidance of his first lifelong hero.
Martha Wayne:
If Bruce's father Thomas was the force that pushed the family forward, then Martha was the foundation that kept them stable. Bruce still looks for guidance from his mother, nearly just as much as he does his father.
Joe Chill:
The man that killed Bruce Wayne's parents. The man that unknowingly wrote the first page in the long list of chapters that was the Dark Knight. After being able to put a name and face to the monster that murdered his parents, Bruce tormented the man for weeks on end. Eventually, after Joe realized that Batman was the boy he let live the day he killed Thomas and Martha Wayne, he'd take his own life. If there was any time Bruce would sympathize with a tortured soul that believed the only way out was by means of suicide... this wouldn't be it.
Alfred Pennyworth:
The second father in Bruce's life. Serving as the Wayne family's butler, the British man is the main care giver and after Thomas and Martha Wayne's murder, Alfred became Bruce's legal guardian. He was the shoulder young Bruce cried on. The first partner and advisor Batman has ever had before Commissioner Gordon or any of the Robins were even thought of. A key root to the Bat Family tree that has flourishes presently. Without Alfred's medical aid, unique perspective and emotional support, there may not be a Batman today.
Commissioner Gordon:
Gordon is a close ally to Batman that has been around since the beginnings of the heroes career. He helps the Dark Knight in ways that only a commissioner could. In spite of Batman's secretive nature, Gordon has full faith in knowing that Batman is very often what's best for the city of Gotham. Outside of the Bat-Family, Gordon is Batman's closest friend.
Gotham PD / Civilians:
The relationship shared between Batman and the city he so loyally protects can be rather fickle. A majority of the police force often see Batman as a menace that has to be stopped, while at time's appreciating the work he does to keep the streets clean. Many of the civilians see him as a psychopath in which they generally fear, while a few admire and respect the Dark Knight. His popularity among the people of Gotham means very little to Batman, however. Hate him or love him, he'll forever remain the hero Gotham deserves.
Harvey Dent / Two Face:
Bruce believed that this man was to be the savior of Gotham. The Hero Gotham needed but didn't deserve. The White Knight. Much like Commissioner Gordon, Harvey Dent was a very close ally to Batman in his early years as a crime fighter. Dent eventually was pushed over the edge into the depths of insanity after his face was horrifically scarred by the crime boss Moroni. For a while, Batman often tries to save Two Face in hopes of bringing him back to being the man he once was.
The Joker:
No historical records. No previous life that can be accurately spoken of. It was as if he just spawned into the world to be what he is today. The Clown Prince of Crime that just wants to watch the world burn. Joker is one of Batman's oldest villains, representing the opposite of everything Batman stands for. His severe insanity makes tracking and beating him particularly difficult for the detective. There are even times where the Joker isn't found unless he want's to be. The Clown looks to Batman in an almost romantic light. Feeling as though they're both just two peas in a pod, he believes that without a Batman there would be no Joker and without a Joker there would be no Batman. In his eyes, they complete each other. Of all the criminals Batman has ever faced, he has openly admitted to never hating anyone as much as he hated Joker. The amount of people Joker kills... the pain and suffering he alone has put Bruce and his family though ... All in an attempt to force The Dark Knight into breaking his number one rule, thus proving that anyone is one bad day away from ending up like the Joker.
Dick Grayson / Robin / Nightwing:
The first of many Robin's to act as Batman's sidekick, After the death of Dick's mother and father, Bruce couldn't help but see a vision of his younger self in the boy. The boy showed promise of being a great crime fighter, so Bruce not only took him into his home and eventually adopted him, but also took him under his wing as Batman. Dick had a love for protecting others and a passion for fighting crime like none other. The two often bumped heads, especially as he grew out of his Robin persona and became Nightwing. Even in spite of their disagreeing on how protecting Gotham should be done at times, he respects him as a man and a hero. Bruce will always see Dick as his son.
Jason Todd / Robin II / Red Hood:
The second of all the Robins and also known as being the black sheep among them. After Bruce caught the boy attempting to steal the tires off his Batmobile and assisted him in taking down a guild house of thieves, he opened the doors of his home to the orphaned by adopting him and took him under his vigilante wing. Being the angriest and most aggressive of all the Robins, Bruce tried long and hard to teach Jason how to control his anger. After Jason died by the hands of the Joker, Batman began feeling the guilt of not being there enough for Jason and being unable to help him. Once Jason was revived and became the Red Hood, Jason sets out to kill Batman for not avenging his death and killing the Joker. Eventually a form of mutual forgiveness was formed between the two. They're not exactly the closest, but Bruce still recognizes Jason as his son and a member of the Bat Family.
Tim Drake / Robin III / Red Robin:
The third Robin. After being able to deduce the identities of both Batman and Nightwing and help rescue them from the clutches of Two Face and Clayface with the help of Alfred, Tim would begin his career as Robin. After his mother died at the hands of Obeah Man and later in his life his father died from an attack by Captain Boomerang, Tim would eventually be adopted by Bruce. Eventually, Tim would outgrow his Robin costume and donned a new persona as Red Robin. Tim always stood out among the other Robins as having a particularly brilliant mind. Tim also saved Batman from tumbling down a state of aggressive depression after Jason had died by providing him with someone he could help teach and improve while giving him positive hope for a better future. Both he and Bruce share a lot of qualities as far as always thinking with their head instead of going on impulse. In spite of these similarities and his admiration for Batman, he in no way wants to be exactly like him.
Damian Wayne / Robin V:
The last of the Robins, Damian Wayne is the biological child of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul. Being kept a secret from Bruce, the Dark Knight wouldn't know about his son until Talia leaves the boy in Bruce's custody. After a series of events, Damian eventually became Bruce Wayne's last and current Robin. Bruce used to feel that Damian was just a young boy that had to be treated as such, while Damian felt with his skills and training, he should be considered a superior over all previous Robin's and be considered Batman's equal partner, not lowered side kick. Eventually the two find a decent balance between the two and meet in the middle. Bruce strives to protect and raise Damian, gathering all the previous knowledge of raising and training the other Robins to help him do so. His love for his son is unconditional.
Barbara Gordon / Oracle / Batgirl:
The first Batgirl and neice of Commissioner James Gordon. Barbara joined the Bat family after 'rescuing' Bruce from Killer Moth and successfully solving his crime. Bruce felt a degree of guilt after Barbara had gotten shot by Joker and was paralyzed from the waist down due to this. Even in spite of her having to hang up the Batgirl costume, she remained just as valuable to Bruce and the rest of the Bat family by being their virtual eye in the sky under the alias Oracle. Though it would be a few years until Barbara got her legs back after a surgery, she'd return to being Batgirl. Bruce is Barbara's friend, mentor and father figure. He holds a pride and love for her that in some ways can be compared to the other Robins he has trained.
Ra's Al Ghul:
The leader of The League of Assassins, Ra's is a man of great power in terms of his ability to influence world events for his own gain. He is very keen on Batman, believing him to be one his only worthy opponents, and often encourages the idea of Batman marrying his daughter Talia. One of his goals was to make Batman his successor, but naturally the Dark Knight could never side with a man willing to go to such evil extreme's for their goals. Even with him disagreeing with Ra's vision and methods, Batman has a rather strong line of respect for Ra's skill and intellect.
Talia Al Ghul:
A romantic interest of Batman. Talia Al Ghul, the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul, finders herself devoted to her father and his vision for a better world, but her love for Bruce tends to shift her allegiance from time to time. They have a child together by the name of Damian Wayne. Bruce often tries to convince Talia to walk away from her criminal life style, while Talia tries to make her beloved Bruce follow the visions that her father Ra's hold. It's a game of tug of war that neither seem to ever win.
Selina Kyle / Catwoman:
A romantic interest of Batman, Catwoman tends to always find a way to walk that fine line between right and wrong. One minute she's robbing banks and museums, the next she's helping Batman fight off criminals. The attraction between the is often mutual. Just as Bruce often has ways of convincing Selina to do the right thing, Selina manages to break his nearly impenetrable guard down. Perhaps Bruce has faith that Selina is a better person than she leads herself to be....
Diana / Wonder Woman:
A romantic interest of Batman, Wonder Woman serves as a powerful and trusted ally of his. The two often had a flirtatious relationship as members of the JLA and that carried on to something more serious. Dates were scheduled and good intentions were made, but it never properly worked out between the two. Eventually they decided that in spite of their affection for each other, it was best they remained friends... but of course things can always change from then to now.
Clark Kent / Superman:
One of his closest friends and respected allies. Though it didn't always start out like that. They are almost polar opposites in the way they think and approach situations. Clark is warm. Bruce is cold. Clark hesitates to make the tough decisions while Bruce acts without little to no regrets. Though as they say, opposites do attract. Though they go about finding justice in different ways at times, Bruce still can appreciate the differences (so long as they don't interfere with each other too much). Batman is a symbol of dark brutal justice in a corrupt and dark city like Gotham, while Superman is a symbol of light, hope and inspiration in a bright and warm city like Metropolis. What they do and where they do it works... that's all Bruce can ask for.

-BEGINNING OF INTRO-
A full moon illuminated Gotham's night sky, the clouds glowing like pillowy light bulbs as they drifted freely. The rings of an old grandfather clock echoed loudly within the seemingly empty halls of a large mansion that sat on acres of wide open land. Both hands on the clock rested in unison on the number twelve while the loud chiming continued ... only once the large hand shifted a single notch, would the chiming cease. A shadowy figure rested a white gloved hand on the clock, opening the door and forcing the hands to click to 10:47 on the dot. For a moment nothing would happen... and then the entire clock began to rotate counter clock wise, revealing an open space clouded by shadows in which the figure would step into. The body of the clock would rotate clockwise and, hands automatically resetting to the correct time, settling itself in its normal position once more. The steady clacking sounds of shoes could be heard while the figure descended down a long flight of limestone steps. The air began to hold a certain dampness to it ... the fluttering of winged creatures becoming more prominent the further down the figure traveled... eventually light would uncover the identity of the mysterious dark figure. "Master Bruce" the voice called out with a heavy English accent as he looked around. The screeching and fluttering of bats sounded once more as a cloud of them scattered within the underground cavern. They flew over custom made vehicles and jet planes, through the legs of a giant statue of a prehistoric dinosaur, and around a massive coin and particularly chilling joker card. The entire space held a powerful energy all in its own... but that was to be expected when one first enters the Bat Cave.
"Here Alfred." Bruce called out. As Alfred followed the direction in which the voice came from, he'd spot the figure and gave a rather disappointed sigh. "Already gearing up I see, Master Bruce" Alfred spoke out while walking forward. "And here I had just made your dinner" the statement evident by the silver platter he carried, holding different dishes of food and cups of drinks. Bruce shifted his attention over towards the man that acted largely as his best friend and father figure, while fitting his second and last glove tightly over his hand. "Something came up" Bruce simply said. He hadn't even bothered to look towards Alfred's direction, as he was far too busy prepping his gear onto his form. "Something always comes up, sir." Alfred quickly retorted. Bruce paused, slowly shifting his form and giving Alfred his full attention, only to see the British butler stare rather calmly back. The two of them just silently conversed, eye motion and body language speaking volumes over what any words could say. Bruce wasn't about to apologize for doing his job... but in the same breath, he did feel sorry that the situation always having to end up like this. The momentary paused stopped, causing them both to continue their movements.Bruce strapped his yellow utility belt around his waist while Alfred set the platter down on a large desk which connected towards the super computer.
Looking at the screen, the butler would take note of the coordinates popping up on the screen repeatedly. No doubt where Bruce was currently heading. "I believe you said you would wait to receive help from the rest of the family, sir." Alfred's head turned to look over his shoulder while Bruce responded. "I said I'd think about it." with a click, the utility belt would latch on tightly around his waist. "I only needed requested information at best Alfred... and that information was just attained from the results of the blood sample I uncovered last night. I have all that I need to continue my case Alfred." From the corner of his eye, Bruce watched as Alfred curiously pressed a button on the large keyboard and caused the screen the shift towards the forensic files. Recognizing the chemical formula that showed, he'd watch the butler's stoic facial expression momentarily crack, bleeding out an expression of concern... or perhaps it was a mild fear. "Joker Venom... “Alfred said with a light huff before regaining his composure.
"Perhaps if you were to call upon the assistance of Master Dick, or even Miss Ba-" the butler’s words were cut short quickly as Bruce interrupted. "Alfred. Enough." his tone of voice still relatively calm, though it was obvious that he was done with this conversation. Even if Bruce felt like calling one of them up, they each were busy dealing with their own unique situations. Nightwing was checking in on Bludhaven , Red Robin was taking care of a case of his own within Gotham and he was sure Oracle was busy dealing with the Birds of Prey. Batman inc. worked best spread out and covering more ground anyhow. At least that the excuse Bruce told himself. In all actuality, he didn't want anyone else in the family touching anything Joker related. Not now. Not until he got a better grip on the situation at the very least. Alfred’s entire form shifted to fully face Bruce, who had already draped his cowl over his face and started to make his way towards the rising platform in which the bat mobile sat upon. The hood slipped backwards, revealing the interior in which Batman climbed into. Alfred gave a sigh and rotated his form to face the computer screen once more. "I will just remain here, I suppose." a mildly sarcastic comment being made, as if he had someplace better to be. His eyes glanced towards the platter of food. “Yet another meal to be reheated…. How ghastly…”
As the hood slid back over Batmobile, Batman brought the machine to life and caused the thrusters in the back to ignite in a bright blue flame. The cave walls before him lifted, allowing the sights and sounds of an ever running water fall gushing at the other end. The Batmobile would suddenly accelerate off its platform, riding straight down the runway. As it passed through the opened cave wall, it traveled down a lengthy tunnel before climbed a ramp and leaped off the edge, piercings the waterfall in midair, only to land perfectly on the dirt road. It wouldn't take long before Batman merged with the nearly empty streets of Gotham, making a mad dash to his destination. Joker's exact whereabouts currently was left a mystery... but the night was still young... leads have yet to be taken and some stones were still left unturned. Yet another night at work for the world’s greatest detective.
-END OF INTRO-
-There were three of them. Three suspects running through the darkened alleys of Gotham. To be fair, there were originally seven, but the other four had already been... dealt with. They all wore baggy bright purple and green clothing. One of them had a rubber clown mask on while the other two wore make up that resembled the visage of a clown. “C’mon man! Hurry your fat ass up! He's right behind us!" the one in the rubber mask yelled from behind himself while he sprinted ahead of the pack "I-.. I can't breathe Charlie.. I-.. my chest hurts man!" the heaviest one out of the bunch huffed out as he trailed behind. "Yeah!? Well ya everything' will be hurting if you let the bats catch you" the third one smoke out as he ran smack dab in the middle between the two. "Just... Just slow down guys. We.. we've been - *COUGH-COUGH*... - runnin' a while now. I think we lost'e-HUUUuGHAAAH!!" the screaming sounds of terror rang out, immediately alerting the other two clowns. They stopped to turn around for just a moment to see what became of their third member.. Only to find he was gone. Lightning formed, cracking the sky wide open as the thunder sounded shortly after. It was like a signal from the heavens to have the two clowns look skywards, only to see their heavy set member hanging unconscious from his ankles by a grappling hook. If they hadn't had any incentive to run, that surely was it.
Going back into full sprint, the two would turn corners and leap over gates. In their minds it felt as if they had been running forever... The sounds of their paired footsteps clattering at the ground matched the rhythm of their ever speeding heart beats... that was until one set of the footsteps ceased its clatter. Charlie, the lead clown, continued to run for a while before he picked up on the lack of movement from behind. Out of breath, he'd stop and quickly turn around. "This ain't no time for a fuckin' piss break man! Get your ass in gear!...." It didn't take Charlie all too long to realize he was talking to nothing but empty space. But how? He didn't even hear anything... not a scream.. not a movement. It was as if the Bat just plucked him out from the sky. The idea that the Bat could just buck off a guy that was less than 10 feet behind him without him even noticing caused him to panic. His imagination ran wild... his already quickened heart beat picked up... the tingling sensation coming over his body made him shake. The fear of the inevitable was slowly consuming him.
"C'mon ya freak!" he screamed out, reaching into his baggy purple leather jacket and pulling out a .9mm. Lightning once again struck, lightning coming almost directly after. He'd look upwards, aiming at the air and shooting wildly. "C'mon ya fuckin freak! I ain't scared of yuh! I ain't fuckin scared! You're the one who's scared! Come out and face me like a real man! C'mon!!!" he continued to fire until every pull of the trigger let loose nothing but empty clicking sounds. Out of frustration, he launched the empty firearm out, the distance sounds of the clanking metal being heard for a moment. For a while, there was nothing but silence... for a moment, he allowed himself to believe he was the only one there, all alone in that alley. He tried to calm himself down, taking deep breaths in doing so. As his eyes glanced down to the ground, yet another flash of lightning and cracking of thunder would present itself, finally bringing a light rain shower along with it. The flickering lights caused the silhouette of a winged creature descending right above Charlie. His eyes widened and he'd immediately look up. The sound that escaped his mouth would send a chill down any grown man’s back...
Batman had the punk, who was currently suffering from four broken ribs and a busted nose, by the collar as he slammed his back into a brick wall. "Tell me..." he growled, pulling him off the wall only to slam him back into it. The repeated contact causing a bit of the brick to crumble. "Tell me where the Joker's hiding, NOW!" The Dark Knight's free hand reached to grab at the rubber clown mask, pulling it free off his face... it revealed some 20'something year old man's face, riddled with clown paint that had been ruined with tears and sweat. As the wide eyes of Charlie looked down, he'd have stare straight into the face of that which terrorized him. He didn't even have the luxury of looking at the Bat in the eye. The windows to his soul were covered by the white lenses of his cowl, which almost glowed in the shadows of the night "I-.. I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to kill the guy.. It was an accident. H-he said just to scare the guy a little" Charlie pleaded in between whimpers. The grip around his collar tightened, causing it to wrap around the clowns throat tighter. "I don't want your pathetic apologies. I want ANSWERS!" the combination of lightning and thunder would strike yet again, the soft rain building up harder. He couldn't even process the situation he had gotten himself into, but he knew that there was only one way out.
"Oh god,.. ha... oh god please just stop. ! I'll tell you! I'll.. haha.. I'll tell you. It's... ha.. haha... It's.....heheh.. hehehe... The .. Jok-hohoHOHA... .HAHAHAHA... HAAHAHAHAHA!" The whimpers slowly began to meld with giggles... the giggles formed into chuckles... the chuckles evolved into a sickening laughter that wouldn't stop. As the rain continued to fall harder and harder, the paint that would melt off of Charlie's face began to reveal the bleached white skin tone. The strained yellow eyes... the ruby red lips that forced itself into a terrible smile. Batman immediately took his free hand and reached into his utility belt. Clicking open a particular compartment, he'd pull out a cure for the Joker Venom that came in the form of a spray. "No. You don't get to walk away from this that easily!" spraying the antidote in his face, he'd allow the light blue mist to cover him... and yet still he laughed. Charlie laughed and laughed, so hard that he couldn't even take the time to inhale. "NO! TALK! WHERE IS HE!?" Batman yelled once more while shaking at his collar violently. "TALK!... TALK DAMN YOU!!!" ... Raindrops, laughter, and demands never to be met... that's all that could be heard for a while until the laughter finally stopped.
Picking up on the abnormal vital patterns coming from Batman's suit, Alfred would chime in through the ear device attached to the interior of Batman's cowl. "I take it things did not go quite as planned, sir..." the English voice chimed out. "Six of the Seven suspects had no information... " Batman spoke out. "And what of the seventh, Master Bruce?" Alfred questioned. "He fell victim to the Joker Venom before he could talk... " his eyes glanced up for a moment, peering at the sky as the rain continued to fall. "It was already in his system... The rain simply activated the chemical." Joker knew Charlie here was the fastest out of the bunch... the only one who might have had the slightest idea of Joker's actual whereabouts as well. He'd tease the detective with yet another lead, only to have it be washed away by the elements themselves. "The antidote didn't work Alfred. Joker must have changed to property levels of his venom. I should have-" for once, Bruce would be cut short by Alfred in an attempt to reassure him. “It wasn't your fault, Master Bruce. The man's fate was sealed well before you even arrived to the scene..... Allow me to run diagnostics on the blood sample you found earlier, and I'll make a new antidote for the new strand of Joker Venom." Bruce's eyes simply squinted into a glare and his gloved hands squeezing into tight fists. "Fine. Contact me once the antidote is made." With that, communications ceased. The thought of the rain activated Joker Venom continued to fester in his head... and then a thought came to mind. Gotham's abandoned water park was due to be his next area to investigate. It was a bit of a hunch, but considering as it was his best lead he'd follow it. The rain continued to fall and drench Batman's caped form... yet another combination of thunder and lightning shook... the bright flash coming and going into the night, just as the detectives form disappeared along with it.
