Character Origin: Comic {Mostly inspired by Prime Earth version, but there are very few differences between that and the New 52/New Earth version.}, Justice League Unlimited television show based.
Face Claim's Name: Alexis Ren.
Name: Courtney Whitmore.
Alias: Stargirl, originally the second Star-Spangled Kid.
Race: Human.
Age: Sixteen.
Birthday: February 5th. {Not given in the character's information, this is an assumed birthday for my own chronological needs.}
Alignment: Good.
Height: 5'5".
Weight: 110lbs.
Hair: Blonde.
Eyes: Blue.
Physique: Slim and toned, unassuming frame. A typical cheerleader sort of build.
Personality: Bubbly and upbeat in nature, with an ever-present smile and an altruistic nature. She has a strong moral compass and her youthfulness makes her optimism an innate trait that just can't help but maintain a certain hopefulness in most situations. She has moments of reckless gusto, though, that allow for a rebellious streak that border-lines being brazen. There is a constant yearning for action and it affects her life outside of being Stargirl. While well-intended, she is known for her smart-mouth getting her into trouble, especially with authoritative figures, and sarcasm is not a foreign manner of speech for the girl.
Training:
-- Note: With the aid of her Cosmic Converter Belt, there is a marked enhancement on her speed, agility, strength, and stamina in regards to her training skill set.
Equipment:
Powers / Abilities
{She has no powers without her equipment, so I'll go more in depth about each in this category.}
Note: She is the only one to have ever wielded both the belt and the staff.
Cosmic Converter Belt.
It is a technological belt that boosts her physical capacities. It also converts cosmic energy, star-light in her case, into a flexibly useful force.
Cosmic Staff.
the Cosmic Staff is a powerful weapon that is used to absorb stellar energy. It is sometimes called the Cosmic Rod and it is a Starman legacy device. I'll list the capabilities of the staff, to Stargirl's knowledge, not the complete list that would be known to the former Starman.

"There is something to be said for night time," the blonde girl mused to herself as her head angled far enough back to send a conspirator's grin toward the twinkle of stars that littered the vast overhead darkness. In truth, she didn't mind that she had her driving privileges revoked for the rest of the week. The damn math test was a joke that she didn't bother sticking around long enough to hear the punchline... yet her teacher managed to find her spine and called home, telling her parents of her absence. Her current lack of wheels meant that after her evening cheerleading practices -- and the vehement denial of allowing Pat to pick her up and give her his attempt at fatherly consideration -- she could walk home. Alone. Unsupervised. Ah.
Courtney flicked an errant curl out of her sight-line with youthful impatience, neither guided by heated intention nor actual despair over its lack of remaining in place. The moon was bright enough to light her way down the quiet lane that led through the business district, but she'd need all of her facilities to navigate it properly. The weight of the silence was beginning to wear on her nerves, if the twitch between her shoulder-blades was any indication, and her fingers began a restless toying with the singular strap of her backpack that clung to the slender slant just above the line of her arm.
It made her want to make some noise.
However, It wasn't long after this thought had been acknowledged that a sound, a rustling of sorts from beyond the shadowed corner to her right, drew her attention. The girl passed it without incident, only to hear a lag of footfalls follow in her wake. A giddy smirk slid across her wholesome features, lips pressing together to contain the pleased mirth at being offered such a distraction to ease the tension that taunted her into the realm of boredom. So she had company. Mom always warned her to be polite to company. She should say hello.
With obvious nonchalance, Courtney took a longer step than her norm and used it to fluently pivot to face her unknown companion. "Hi. I assume that you're orphaned, to be so rude as to not offer a greeting back there... or perhaps raised by wolves? Either way, you're lacking in a lesson or two," a winsome smile brightened her features, totally at odds with the situation as the sarcasm rolled effortlessly off her tongue. The individual turned out to be a scruffy looking male, tall and lanky, with a hungry look in his eye. What he was looking to sate his appetite, she hadn't a clue, but there was no buffet to be found here. "Grandma's house is that way," she deadpanned, gesturing behind him in the direction that she had just came from. A smart ruffian would have considered her dismissive good-will and taken the opportunity for what it was, one that involved the keeping of the full usage of his necessary limbs.
He was not a smart ruffian.
The man stumbled forward, eagerly swiping a hand out to nab the strap of her bag in effort to pull her toward him. Courtney allowed him to wrench her bodily and used the propelling momentum to swing her opposite fist in an upward strike against the tender column of his throat, causing him to gurgle out a surprised stutter and toss his head away from the blow. A nimble leg kicked between his and kneed him with precision in the groin, only to quickly twist her hip more into its socket and have her swiftly lowering limb hook outward to catch the bend of his kneecap between her calf and thigh. A yank of her appendage had him bend and collapse back onto the concrete with an unforgiving thud, following by a muted thunk of his head meeting the ground shortly thereafter. She dipped her head down and gave him a hard look, studying the lack of his movements until she was ascertained he wouldn't be getting up anytime soon.
"And I didn't even have to dress for the occasion," the teenager murmured to the downed man, shrugging her backpack to return it to its perch. With a salute in parting, Courtney turned and continued her trek home.

Training:
- Gymnastics.
- Kickboxing.
-- Note: With the aid of her Cosmic Converter Belt, there is a marked enhancement on her speed, agility, strength, and stamina in regards to her training skill set.
Equipment:
- Cosmic Converter Belt.
- Cosmic Staff.
- Cellular device.
- A compact backpack. Used to store her change of clothing when she needs to do an identity switch.
- A 1958 Lincoln convertible that has been entirely rebuilt and strengthened by her stepfather. It is a modified version of the Star-Rocket Racer, a vehicle used by her predecessor Sylvester Pemberton. It is painted a bright yellow hue with a chrome star hood ornament, a ’STAR‘ vanity plate and red leather seats. There is also a version of the Racer’s rocket engines installed in the armoured frame, allowing it to fly in case of a dire need.
Powers / Abilities
{She has no powers without her equipment, so I'll go more in depth about each in this category.}
Note: She is the only one to have ever wielded both the belt and the staff.
Cosmic Converter Belt.
It is a technological belt that boosts her physical capacities. It also converts cosmic energy, star-light in her case, into a flexibly useful force.
- Enhancement: Her agility, speed, stamina, durability, and strength are all enhanced upon when she is wearing the belt to superhuman levels. When first receiving the belt, for example, she could lift approximately a ton. With time, she would become even stronger. Above Deathstroke in agility and speed, but below Supergirl... just better than Deathstroke in all ways. And prettier. {With time, she will only grow more advance in these enhancements. Whereas Deathstroke will not.}
Shooting Stars: Star-shaped light forms that fire from the belt, which are capable of disrupting electronic devices and scrambling organic nervous systems. These five-pointed constructs aren't going to kill a living being, but rather used to knock them out without any permanent damage done. If enough energy is provided, though, they will take solid form and are strong enough to cut through metal. Charge dependent, the stars have been known to slash, electrocute, stun, punch, or numb. - Aura Connection: The belt adapted to the wearer's physiology, and thus is attuned to her aura.
- Force Fields: Defensive usage. It is also able to be used in conjunction with flight, to protect against atmospheric damage when moving in a high velocity.
- Energy Projection: Capable of projecting colorful {red and yellow} star-based blasts of energy.
- Energy Absorption: Always able to absorb stellar-based energy. Although, it could sometimes absorb electricity to dissipate it.
- Attunement: It is a weapon tied directly to its current user after adapting to her particular physiology, making it hard to attune to another person. It can also receive mental commands from Stargirl from particular distances, allowing itself to be controlled by thought alone.
- Flight.
Weaknesses
- Human: She is a human, thusly limited. Especially without her gear. Can be mortally wounded.
- Teenager: Impulsive, inexperienced, dependant. She is notably one of the youngest members in the Justice Society of America. She would have a lot to learn about becoming a well-balanced hero.
- Emotional background: She has father issues and has not had an easy life. Her criminal birth father {later found out to a member of the Royal Flush Gang} and her mother divorced while she was still young, only to seldomly see him {and never in a positive situation} all the way until he died. Her mother found a new love, whom she immediately resented and would become defensive/standoffish toward. Her heroic origin began as a mockery to her step-father's past.
- Secret Identity: She's rather flippant about keeping it a secret.
- The Cosmic Converter Belt: It is somewhat fragile of an item.
- The Cosmic Staff: It would need occasional recharge from the nighttime stars in order to work. It also can be a very brilliant weapon to wield, even for its user.
