Is Deathstroke: ~Never let it be said that Lex Luthor is a simple man. Simple is a word Lex doesn’t understand, He does however understand power, even if that power is only money, owning almost all of the land in Metropolis , Weapons all built for build for one single minded purpose. To Utterly destroy Superman. For all his complex schemes he has never been able to get one over on Superman. He was Doomed to fail from the beginning, Superman was bad enough, but Superman was part of a team now. A team that was damn near untouchable by a single man. ~ “ Power Suit Activated. “ a robotic voice came from the computer built into the armor. Lex entered the building where his hired help was located. Lex smirked and he said” Good you all made it. For those of you wondering when you will be paid, After all this business is finished. You have all been briefed on your parts. Now go. “ 6 hours later In New York City, a bomb exploded under in the Subway System under Manhattan.” Another in Brooklyn , -
Deathstroke: .” Another in Brooklyn , and another in Queens in the sewer system . Gasoline filled the air as it ignited causing the sewer lids to explode from where they were tightly fixed.
Black Canary: Dinah sighed as she looked over the reports coming in at the Watch Tower. She looked tired, having to deal with the issues in gotham was wearing her out. "Jeeze, New York City never gets a break. First Circe and now this." she tapped her earpiece. "Are all of you getting this? It appears to be some kind of terrorist like attack. multiple areas in new york and now the gas main has blown." She plays with a twine bracelet she is wearing on one wrist.
Superman: It wasn't the concussive force that oblierated the people around and destroyed hundreds of feet of solid ground, concrete, and metal. It wasn't the fire that burned this suit from his body... the skin from others. It was the sound. In the underground controlled area, cut off from the open air, the noise of the explosion was amplified and, with the sudden attack, leveled him. Clark gripped the sides of his hand, palms pressing flush against his ears as blood dripped out of them. Pounds and pounds of rubble collapsed over him, crushing the remains of the people at the station waiting for the train to arrive. His ears rang loudly as his body rapidly healed the damaged done to his ear drums which had been severely damaged from the assault, yet despite everything else that was his only injury. As the throbbing in his head started to subside, Clark realized where he was and what had just happened. "Oh no..." he whispered softly, suit completely destroyed, using his x-ray vision to -
Superman: peer through the rubble and see the horror. "Rao..." was all he could manage to say next before he heard the sound of a far off screech, but he knew better. While it sounded far away because of his ears, it was far closer. Thankfully his Kryptonian armor had activated itself and covered his body while the suit burned away, but he didn't have much room to move. Dinah's voice hit his ear over his communicator but he couldn't respond now. There wasn't much room with all of the rubble for leverage and the way he'd fallen, laying on his side, didn't help at all. "Idiot!" he quickly cursed himself and his eyes went red, beams shooting from them and blasting the area above him for ten feet. In the space of a milisecond he was up on his feet and in the next drilling his way through the rubble towards the clear part of the tunnel. Clark felt terrible about possibly destroying any remains of the people caught in the explosion, but there wasn't any choice. Everyone was dead, he'd seen and
Superman: check, but these people on the train were still alive and the brakes wouldn't stop it. Kal-El knew this and knew that they needed his help right now. A second later he was at the train, placing his hands on the front car and then immediately begining to fly forward, pushing back against the train. At first his hands pushed into the metal, crushing it in but as he focused and calculated what he needed to do, the train began to slow as he shouted up towards the conductor, "Hit the brakes!"
Green Lantern: Standing outside the Colonel's office, Hal lowered his head and cursed softly. This wasn't his day at all. First his landlady, who was too ugly to work out a payment plan with, then Carol, THEN Tom, and now this. He may work for Carol and the... circumstances of his employment gave him a lot of immunity from normal regs, but there were something he still couldn't avoid. When Dinah communicated about the explosions in New York, Hal's heart sank and his throat went dry. He didn't respond though. Couldn't risk getting into more trouble. When Diana's voice hit, Hal could have just killed himself right there but instead he unzipped his the chest pocket of his flight suit and tapped his com off, begging for forgiveness.
The Batcave…Batman stood before a crime board circling out areas of Gotham City; it was old fashion and outdated, but sometimes technology could compensate for what the arcane tools could do, and sometimes technology wasn’t nearly as sophisticated as the human mind. The answer was *simple* but, it was so damn simple that it eluded the detective as he studied the map to Gotham city. It’s most constructive and most dangerous minds were missing, escaping Arkham Asylum only weeks ago and not so much as a single hit or crime. No word on the street where they had gone, they hadn’t tried building an empire, they haven’t sent him an invitation; which was usual considering most had a taste for vengeance against the man who put them in that asylum to begin with. The lot of them just *simply* vanished. ‘As a detective, I cannot believe in coincidence. With intelligence behind most of the modern world NOTHING happens by chance. <c>
*Accidents* or *Premeditation* are the consistent occurrences in this kind of work. If there is anything we should learn from history…’ His mind raced with the sight of Wonder Woman battling lizards, Superman charging into Darkseid, Himself and Black Canary battling animals followed by Doctor Fate and Circe clashing in the sky. ‘…-Premeditation is often linked to catastrophe.’ When Dinah spoke over the Justice League communication, his gaze shifted from the board of Gotham, color coded sections to indicate who was assigned to the various districts to patrol and gather intelligence upon their enemies. His index finger was located on a purple section titled “H” that he would drop and approach the computer to activate and listen to her message almost a minute late to the response. He tapped the computer console to receive a transmission of the Watchtower’s visual screen. <c>
Batman reviewed the situation and almost shrugged it off as he turned to review the board while leaving the screen activated and his ears attentive to the Justice League’s communication. Batman would think ‘Superman and Wonder Woman are there, I’m simply not needed. I have more important things to worry about. They’ll call me when they need an investigation conducted.’ Of course he wouldn’t say that over the communication; rather he remained silent as always, never for a moment communicating his intentions or his plan unless absolutely necessary.
Deathstroke: The bombs were the signal, and nothing more. All this destruction to alert the team to be ready. Death and Destruction followed by Disorientation. To simple for the man who planned it. Slade moved to set up his own trap for whichever one came towards Queens. He expected Batman, he prepared for The others. If Superman showed Slade would lose, He knew this already and prepared for that. Across town another waited grabbing his blades, pointing towards the one helping him telling him to be ready the black clad man stood waiting for whoever came to Brooklyn while his Tatttooed comrade prepared to get the drop aswell. Near Manhattan Parasite began to move into position . Waiting atop an apartment complex for his prey.
Black Canary: Black Canary heard a couple of voices from her teammates, but wanted to rush in to help to. She dashed to the transporter and found herself in an alley in Brooklyn, she rushed to where the subway had been blown open. So focused on the destruction she didn't notice the black clad man getting ready with his accomplace. She slid down a piece of broken road down into the tunnel. It was dark and rubble everywhere, she could see bodies and the remains of a train caught in the blast. "Hello? Is anyone down here?" she shuddered, who could have done this? she analyzied the way the rubble and burn marks from the blast were about her, tracing the area to figure out where the bomb happened and to see if she could make out how it was triggered. All the while looking for survivors. Staying alert. Glancing into the dim interrior of the subway car. (d)
Flash: Barry was somewhat relaxing, as he was seated infront of the large computer system that was the Watchtower monitoring system. His feet were up on one of the monitors. He'd not been sleeping as well as he'd hoped lately. Infact, Barry was withdrawing alot from his personal life- but that was a topic for another time. For now the Scarlet Speedster was enjoying his day. A straw rested upon his lips, as he had a sip of pop- Iced tea, infact. He didn't enjoy the carbonation within most of todays soft drinks. Suddenly, alarms went off across the board, and Barry blinked. "Oh god." He wasted little time, and made his way to the teleporter. The Destination- New York City.
Wonder Woman: Diana had no way of knowing who was responding to her call for help and who wasn't, and as such she operated as if there was no help coming. Her body moved in a flurry of motion, her efforts focussed mostly in Brooklyn where the population density was higher. Manhattan had high rises, yes, but the people there for the most part evaporated when the sun went down. People lived in Brooklyn; they raised families in the borough. She wasn't the type to investigate, sit in the side lines or in the library stacks, while there was work to be done. She helped the first responders react to the troubles before pressing her com again. With most of the chaos under control in Brooklyn, Diana headed towards what appeared to be the epicentre. Her recent exploits with Black Canary had shown Diana the value of examining and collecting evidence
Rogue Gallery: The figure in Black Smirked as he saw the blonde go into the Subway, He paused and said” Looks like Lex forgot one, We’ll deal with her when we are finished with the real threats.” The Tattooed man looked to the figure in Black” What the hell you think you’re gonna do against a real threat; I fight the Lantern, an’ what do you fight huh? Some dude.” The Figure in Black looked over. “ When this is over, I’ll show you what I’m capable of..” He puled out his helmet and placed it on his head the globe like Helmet when the amazon stepped up. He pointed as she approached the entrance. “ That’s what I was fishing for.” His Lenses glowed brightly before a massive concusive laser was fired at the Amazon. Tattooed Man remain hidden waiting on the word to Strike. As Flash appeared in New York a Familiar voice would speak with him a window in a car where he teleported in.” Flash I was waiting on you.” The reflection was that of Mirrior Master instead of Flash.” Late as usual.”
Black Canary: Dinah looked about and found the source of the bomb, it had been planted and apparently hidden in the subway tunnel. Not on the track or attached to it as far as she could see, so it wasn't triggered by the subway train. She found a piece she was looking for, some kind of transmitter. She tapped her ear piece. "It looks like someone set all of these bombs off remotely, I'm collecting pieces of shrapnel the best I can for analysis. She pulled out cellphone from her boot and took pictures of the transmitter and fragments. "Batman, I'm sending you pictures of my findings, please let me know if you can deduce anything further." she thought she heard sounds near the entrance of the hole. "Hello?" she called out. (d)
Superman: (Minutes ago) Superman lowered down and dug his toes into the ground, using the friction to help him slow the subway train while all along it the wheels locked and screeched as they slid along the rails and after a few more seconds the train began to rapidly slow down before coming to a full stop one hundred feet from the collapsed station. The passengers all looked around and began to shout loudly, wondering what was going on while the conductor stared at the destruction. "Go back," came Kal's voice as he hovered up in front of the window, "Try to keep the people calm and explain to them the situation. I'm sorry it has to be you, but it'll be best if they hear what's happened from you instead of a dispassionate television. I need to go." Superman met the man's gaze and gave him a gentle nod, hoping to reassure him before shooting past the train and out the closet station before looping back around and landing at the entrance. (now) He had been helping the firefighters and -
Superman: police ever since, trying to help the initial digging as he could while transporting the badly injured to the nearest hospitol. Those that were severely hurt, the maimed and even the dying, all clung to him as their blood seeped out over his body beggging for Superman to help them... to save them as he had so many people. Their tears stained their face as some of their bodies jolted in spasms and in pain... and all he could do was offer comforting words. Gently laying down a young teenage girl whose body had been badly cut and would most assuredly ben permantly scarred, the Man of Steel felt... very unlike the moniker he had been given years ago. "Superman to Justice League," he called into his communicator, "what's the situation?"
Flash: "Mirror Master. Well aren't you the cutest little stalker?" He teased, intending to harass his old foe some. "So, you wanna just jump out here, so we can do our usual little song and dance, and once again put you in prison. Whaddya say, pumpkin?" Despite his sort of personal crisis, Barry was in rather high spirits, aside from the explosions that went off. He stood still for a few moments, waiting to see if the Mirror Master actually was going to pop out- or atleast one of his mirrored body doubles to taunt him more. It was a villain thing. They always had to try and make it personal.
Wonder Woman: “Your guess is as good as mine, Superm-” Diana said into her communicator as she continued to put out minor disturbances. Her voice cut off as Diana’s ears picked up the sound of the blast before she caught the shot of red flashing in the corner of her vision. She turned, bringing her arms up in front of her face, her bracers taking the bulk of the impact. Never the less, the Amazon was shot back, her body rising to the balls of her feet. Her boots dug in, her body strong enough to withstand the force, but not to resist its push. The concrete beneath her feet gave way, her toes pushing through the hard surface as if it were sand before she found enough resistance. Her eyes peered into the darkness. -c-
Wonder Woman: Her eyes followed the red bolt backwards as her body moved to dismiss the attack, her arms uncrossing and going down, trying to force the blast to where it would be harmless, in the concrete. Her body bent to the right, her right knee bending as her eyes narrowed, trying to make out the shadows in the darkness. “Who’s there!?” she commanded with the voice of a general, one whose words were never denied and whose voice was always heard. She kept her weight on the balls of her feet, her eyes focused and body tense, ready to move with a split second's notice, for she was sure that was all she would get. -e-
Black Canary: As Black Canary looked through the wreckage of bomb shrapnal some things became very clear. This wasn't some homemade bomb. She touched her ear piece, "Team? I'm gathering that this was a professioinaly done bombing. And these bombs weren't cheap. It is military grade explosive, casing, and ignition. They were made in a factory and made well. There are no serial numbers, no markings, or indicators where they came from or who made them. Somebody had a plan here and they wanted to make sure it happened right and wouldn't be traced back to them." she admitted grimly.
Black Canary: She wanted to look into this more and would follow any lead she could have from this, she transported back to the watch tower to look more into her findings, everyone else had things taken care of for now. (d)
