Shayera Hol: Her mission....scope out the defenses of a world called Earth and befriend the people of the planet....get them to trust her. The lieutenant's grip oon the controls of her air craft had tightened. If anything she was not a peacemaker....she could barely get along with some of the warriors she worked with but yet here she was soaring through space to befriend unknowns. So lost in thought Shayera hadn't realized how was she was entering earth's atmosphere till it was too late and alarms were going off signalling the incoming danger, fingers raced acrossed the console to do what she could to slow the aircraft down. Success was little as the orangish brown spot became bigger with each passing second and any hope to slow the ship down faded as she braced for impact.
Aquaman: The Manta Men had come here to scout for a new base of operations in addition to the large network that their leader already had. This was one of their first missions in their long jounery to be full accepted as one. Truth be told they were not nearly as dangerous as normal members as their suits and weapons were outdated by that used by those who had completed their training. This was due to Manta wished to weed out the weakest and only have the strongest and no dead weight. It was as they were unloading their gear that the craft came zooming in over their heads which immediate drew their attention. "The hell..?" one of them said as it went over the lush green leaved trees. Moments later, they heard a loud crash. "Should we go check it out?" "No. We need to accomplish our tasks." "But this just threw a big fuck in it." "We need to finish." "Let's do both. A quarter of us stay here while the rest go investigate. We're almost done and it won't take all of us to finish. Those left behind can begin set up and when the rest of us return we'll help finish up. The crash sound didn't come from much farther than a couple of miles up. Now let's move." With that, eight of the recruits moved off into the jungle while the last four continued off loading. The eight moved through flora, using machetes to cut their way through the thicker parts as needed with their senses alert and bodies ready to react. After they'd walked about a mile and a half, the four that had been left behind had not only finished the offload but also gotten well into the set up of the bare basecamp. "You wanna take a break?" "Yeah." "Might as well." "I gotta piss. Be right back," and the man moved off into the jungle a ways with shouts about him needed help finding it following. Cursing back with a chuckle, the Manta Man was out of sight geting himself ready before he saw a flash of green moved around his neck and then black. "Hey I need to check inside the boat. Think there's a tool in there we're gonna need." Turning on his heel, one of the men moved back into the large boat by way of the ramp, disappearing inside. Backs facing the jungle, the remaining two began to joke between themselves before a loud crack against their heads as they were smashed together. A few moments passed and then the one that had stepped inside called out, carrying a tool in one hand, "Hey I- what the ARG!" A long, shining gold Trident embedded itself in the man's chest as he dropped to the ground. By this time, the eight had closed in on the supposed crash site, which they could now see with the smoke and damaged foliage. After a few more minutes passed, they arrived while six were sent to fan out around the site. The remaining two moved in on the craft, looking it over and tilting their heads a bit. "Wonder what it is?" one said but from behind them one of the men shouted, "Hey! I think I hear something." They all drew quiet, a few narrowing their eyes as they listened. After a few moments another one called, "I think I hear it too. It's like.. a.. crashing sound." After a few more seconds the first called, "OH SHIT LOOK!!" The orange scale mail, green pants and gloves, and blond hair of Aquaman was unmistakable. "Fuck shoot shoot shoot!!" and immediately they all began to fire at will. Bullets streaked through the air, cutting through bark and leaves, but the few that found their mark ricocheted off the armor of the charging Atlantean. He wasted no words when he cut through the first, blood spraying out from the violent strike from his Trident. Another was clocked hard against the side of the head from the bottom of the pole, his skull fractured, while a third moved up behind Aquaman with machete raised. He moved to slash, but Orin quickly turned and gripped the man's wrist with his left hand, crushing it in his grip and then hurling him away. Another throw of his Trident deal with a third, impaling him through the stomach, while the bullets of the remaining four attempted in vain to subdue their attacker. Aquaman's speed brought him right in front of the next as he started to change his clip, a straight punch breaking ever bone in the Manta Man's face causing him to drop to the ground while clutching his face and writhing in pain. Another didn't waste time trying to switch and ran forward with the butt of his rifle raised. Orin stepped to the side and knee-ed him hard in the stomach, knocking the wind clean from his lungs before he hurled him back first towards a tree, breaking his spine. Two more were left and were almost finished reloading. Just as the closet one to Orin chambered a round, Aquaman was there to strike but the one behind him had finished reloading and was lifting his weapon to fire. The green gloved left of the Atlantean grabbed the one right in front of him and, like a ragdoll, lifted him up and held him in front of his body to intercept the incoming rounds until Aquaman was in striking distance of the man before he proceeded to hurl the dead man away before hitting the final one with a step side kick directly to his ribs and launching him through the air to hit a mile away. With the Manta Men now dealt with, Aquaman slowly moved back to the craft, examining it for a few moments. When he found what looked like the entrance, he reached down to the edge and began to try and pry with strength akin to Wonder Woman herself. When he manged to pull up the metal enough, he looked inside and paused. "A... woman..?" he asked, the sight of the winged female before him distracting him for a moment while the man whose wrist he had crushed moved up behind him with machete raised.
Hawkgirl: Hunched over slightly in her seat, the safety belt holding her in place so she didn’t fall from her seat during the rough landing, a groan slipped from her lips as she opened her emerald eyes. Little dark spots colored her vision, her whole body was aching and her head was pounding. She was sure she hadn’t broken anything but knew she would be littered with cuts and bruises….nothing that wouldn’t heal in a matter of days. Once her vision cleared up she undid the belt holding her in place letting her fall to her knees on the cold metal floor, her hands came out to keep her whole body off the floor. Looking towards the bright light that filtered into the ship she spotted the blonde haired blue eyed male in the orange and green outfit. Pushing herself to unsteady feet the Thanagarian touched at her spinning head, giving it a quick shake before she cautiously made her way to the unknown man. Seeing someone sneaking up behind him with a machete in hand ready to strike caused the woman to respond immediately, even with her wings it wasn’t hard to slip past the unknown man her hands curled into fists. He saw her coming and swung his machete aiming for her midriff but she ducked under the blade. Drawing her arm back she struck out catching the Manta man in the stomach hard enough to cause him to double over just in time to slam her forehead against his nose. The man cried out in pain, dropping his weapon to clutch at his broken nose. Drawing her arm back once more the lieutenant struck him once more in the face, knocking him out. His body dropped motionless to the ground as she turned around, she hadn’t broken a sweat from that little work out but her breathing had picked up just a bit but not much. She merely stood there quietly, watching the blonde man to see what he would do.
