Diana: Themyscira is a peaceful nation, filled with warriors; her mother had taught Diana long ago that if you want peace, prepare for war - Sic Vis Pacem Parabellum. They had been cut off from Man's World for so many years, but still Hyppolyta, Diana's mother and Queen of the Amazons, still enforced rigid training regimens. Not that anyone complained. Their society was "perfect," in their eyes at least. No crime. No war. No violence, other than the Games. No poverty. No men. They were shielded from Man's World, lost in the Mediterranean sea, by a spell of the Gods. After Hyppolyta's rape at the hands of Ares, and the subsequent wars fought, and the loss of her son (a product of that same violation), the Gods denied her vengeance on Ares, but allowed her protection. The only portal to the outside world was a mirror forged by Hephaestus. But the world was at war now, or close to it. Diana had been watching intently, trying to guide her mother into action, but the Queen was stubborn. "But Mother, these weapons, they aren't like ours," Diana would insist. "They will destroy the world." "Man's World," Hyppolyta would insist. "And ours," Diana pleaded for the right to wear the colours and armour of heroes into battle, to fight alongside the finest heroes, male and female, Man's World had to offer. A nuclear weapon had been launched towards Paris - Diana had seen the destruction caused by the weapons launched in Japan 60 years ago. She knew she had to
react. <e>
Superman: The currents and movement of the ocean were a peaceful sight, the creatures that called it home uncaring of anything but their own, next meal, and predators. They knew nothing nor were the able to understand the turmoil of the world above and what those that lived on the surface were nearing would threaten even their lives. War was on the horizon. It could come in the next hour or in the next few days. But this time was far more threatening than it had ever been. Countries across the glovbe were readying their nuclear arsenal begging the question of who would make the first move. These were the thoughts that occupied the Man of Steel's mind as he flew above the water. Superman had been trying to think of something.. anything he could do that might prevent the war from coming but nothing had come. Any move could could cause the tension to snap. As he continued to fly, something about the space ahead of him was off and immediately he slowed and snapped. "What that...?" he muttered to himself. Something was definitely wrong. He couldn’t quite place it but he saw certain changes in the air and space that were unnatural. His eyes, able to perceive so much that normal humans could not even think to, were able to spot the subtle differences. This could be some sort of new cloaking technology. He hadn’t heard of anyone developing something like this but he never paid much attention to the workings of governments unless they threatened innocent
lives. Politics was something he made sure to steer clear of some he could help those who needed him, not those that wanted him. Steeling himself for a moment, Superman flew forward and instantly he felt a cold wash over him. His body adjusted to it but the chill made even him shiver and then it was over and before him he saw an island. The sight gave him pause as he took it in, using his vision abilities to zoom in on it. The architecture was ancient Greek and as he continued to take in more
and more Kal-El also realized that there was not a single man on the island. That didn’t matter though. Whoever these women were, he needed to warn them of what was happening so a moment later he was flying just above the tallest mountain before slowly dropping to the ground, cape flying up in the air above him.
Jonn: was at the observatory, peering up towards the night sky, the endless diamonds that echoed through the eternity with their song and light. But there was one place in particular that he was looking. His home planet. Barsoom. The Earthers called it Mars. And once long, long ago, it was a thriving planet, filled with it's own sense of joy and life. And on the sixth birthday of his daughter, So'la, it came to an end. A alien fleet that came to their world, and extinguished it. They fought and won at such a terrible price. Now he, J'onn, was all that remained, guarding the last secrets of the red planet. That day was the Anniversary of the Fall of the Martians. He knew it well, and for one time out of the year, he had shed his mortal skin and identity of John Jonez, Detective, to that of his true form. J'onn. A sound disrupted his thoughts, and his red eyes turned to regard something to the left. The Transmitter was activating, turning and pointing it's antenna towards another satellite. Odd. He had thought that the transmitter was working with one satellite. But it was nothing that could not be explained away. There were many satellites up there. The one that it was supposed to be connected to could have drifted out of range. So dismissing it as little more than technology adapting, he returned to his contemplations. But what he found out just a few moments later was something that he did not like to hear about. Even if it was just surface thoughts. ~Can’t believe the intel… A giant robot out in Europe. Missile threats active. Shit.~ Now that was something else. Something else entirely. He turned his red gaze to peer down towards the said person as he moved to his car. Memorizing the code to get into the files, and where it was, he drifted through the roof into the main rooms and then began to type away at a computer. Towards the latest intelligence reports to be relayed. He peered down towards them, along with what might happen next. He didnot like this. Humanity would destroy themselves with this. Of this he was certain. So with a quick copy, he pondered on who he could trust. And given the short frame of time, there really only was one person. There he drifted through the roof again, and took off towards the Center of the city, landing upon the rooftop of Gotham Police Department, and there he hit the switch, the search light clicking on. And there was the bat signal. A thing that had gotten the commissioners attention for sure, and he ran up there gun drawn. Just before the man could open the door though, J’onn shifted his appearance to one that was more suitable in such a situation. When the commissioner opened the door, he came come face to face with the Human Identity of John Jonez, Detective from Middletown. “Freeze!” “I am sorry.”He stated simply as his brown eyes turned red for a moment, and there the commissioner was rooted still, frozen in time. That was when he began to hear the mental cries of many, outrage at some sort of event that he had not yet foreseen.
Diana: Diana had left the temple, distraught at the way her mother had dismissed her ideas. "We are not to interfere," she said with a sneer, her lip curling up. "Just once I'd like to go to Man's World, to see what all the fuss is about," she said with a sigh. Her self pity was short lived; the alarm bell rang and all Amazons were called to attention. "There's a man on the island!" one shouted. Diana was intrigued; unlike any of her sisters, she had been born on the island and had never encountered a man. She ran for her horse and was in hot pursuit. "He's at the mountain," she heard one warrior cry. The sentries were out in full armour and arms, but Diana merely had on her white shift and silver bracelets. She advanced up the mountain, using a seldom travelled goat path while the sentries used the main access roads. They were safer, but not as quick. Diana had no idea what she was looking for, but she knew these trails like the back of her hand, and anything different would stand out... Like a red piece of cloth flapping in the wind. She dismounted her horse and stalked him on foot, able to hide easier without her mount.
-Bruce Wayne was called into an important staff meeting with the city of Gotham and he had spent the next four hours listening to briefings from the Mayor, Commissioner Gordon, Transportation authorities, Union leaders, everything that City council held important in the matter of national defense.- “Government Christie has demanded that we prepare for the worst.” –Gordon stated in his opening.- “There are lives at stake here and we need to keep this city together and be prepared to aid allied cities and states. Gordon gestured to Max Shreck, Bruce Wayne, Salvatore Maroni, and Lucius Fox.- “The remaining economic supporters are present here and we’ll need to utilize all of their financial know-how on this matter!…” –Bruce would write down notes on everything, Lucius was surprised to see how much focus Bruce had on this matter and could tell that Bruce didn’t find it amusing. Even IF it were a drill, Bruce wasn’t going to risk anything.- It would be four hours later and Bruce was immediately making his way to a nearby Bat hideout, when he saw the bat signal. Bruce was curious and hurried to a dark parking lot, he looked around before opening the bat mobile to see Zatanna sitting inside waiting for him.- “Jesus.” –Bruce said stepping back, not expecting to see Zatanna.- “Z? What are you doing? Now is not a good time.” –Bruce looked around before climbing into the Bat mobile (The Tumbler) and closed the cock pit. He would begin undressing and said.- “If you’ll excuse me, I need to get suited up…” –He took off his dress shirt to reveal his toned chest and muscles. He slides off his dress pants down to his boxers where he then slipped into his black body suit. He began attaching his armor pads to his suit of armor. In a few moments he was full suited and the Batman Persona emerged while Bruce Wayne’s mind fell into his subconscious.- -His voice was deeper and his thinking was a lot different as he said to her.- “The bat signal has been lit. You can come along but, no tricks.” –Despite the pun, he quite literally meant that he didn’t want her jokes. They both knew she couldn’t leave behind her sense of humor or personality but, at least she would be given fair warning if she did upset him. Batman climbed out of the Bat Mobile quickly moved to see the police building across only a block or two away…It would be a few moments before Batman arrived. His cape flapped but, a loud click of his boots against cement could be heard as he landed against the ledge of the police building, crouched and staring directly at J’onn.- “Who are you?” –Batman said with a growl to his tone, not recognizing the Detective.-
Superman: His booted feet hit the ground softly with his cape falling along his back seconds after. Flicking his eyes about, he used his hearing to locate which direction he needed to go. He heard the sounds of running about, shouts, screams, doors slamming and metal clanging against metal. Slowly he walked forward, thinking that it was better for him to come meet them instead of the women that lived here coming to him. It seemed more polite that way to him since he was the invader here so to speak. Superman kept his ears perked up though, just in case someone tried to sneak up behind him in an attempt to take him out. Experience had taught him to keep his guard up even when he was trying to keep from resorting to violence. He heard all manner of heart beats, footsteps, and rustling around him. Most of it he chalked up to animals however one heart beat stood out from the rest. It was different though he didn’t pay much mind to it yet as it didn’t seem hostile.
Jonn: Had waited for the Detective to come, standing still, and opening his mind outwards to seeing what was going on. There was news on the traffic apparently. Someone was recording signal transmissions and there was a colossal increase in the amount and frequency of it. What they were saying, the supposed man could not tell. And there he turned his head just as the Dark Knight appeared their eyes meeting. J’onn sized this man up. He was able, he had technology on his side, a utility belt. The costume itself was made for intimidation, and if J’onn felt that he did not display it. He simply nodded his head towards the man as he put his hands into his pocket, with drew a simple USB drive with the Military Data File on the communication to arm Nuclear warheads, and intelligence that other nations were supposedly doing the same. “Who I am is not important. But what we do within the next hour is crucial. I need your help in saving this world from Nuclear war… The data that we require is on here. It will be coded. Your friend…” He stated gesturing to the frozen in place Commissioner Gordon, gun pointed at no one, and a look of rage on his face. “Places high faith in you. It is time to see if it is Justified. Will you help me?” he asked offering the small device.
Diana: She crouched low, watching the red cloak as it moved. She saw the rest of the man attached to it - he certainly looked impressive. His clothes were strange, but he was built the way Gods were depicted - very tall and very square. Dark hair. She couldn't see his face, and his body was intermittently shielded from her eyes by the cape. She tucked her loose, black hair back behind her ear assuming he hadn't noticed her yet. What was his game? And who in Hera's name was he? And how did he find the island. She could hear her sisters off in the distance. Wow, they're way off... she thought to herself. They were still only half way up the mountain side; her short cut had really paid off. She crept along the tree line, being careful to stay low and make her movements as fluid as possible, watching the stranger. They were getting closer, though - if she wanted rights to him as a trophy, and more importantly the right of return which would get her off the island and was a free trip to Man's World, she'd have to stop playing so safe. "Halt!" Her voice was loud, and quite strong, filled with the kind of authority that comes from a) knowing you have power and b) knowing you have the presence of mind to use that power wisely. "You are trespassing," she said as she stepped out of the bushes. "You will allow me to take you to the Queen, and then you shall be escorted to where ever you're from, never to return."
Batman: Batman narrowed his eyes at J’onn well aware of what he was saying; the flat tone of the man was in a manner of speaking, depressing. As he held out the USB device, this wasn’t a joking matter. Messing with Federal government let alone other country governments could easily place Batman on a very fast track to being the most wanted and sought after man on the planet. Batman would step off the ledge and approach J’onn. That cape wrapped itself around his body as he approached, appearing at 6’2 and weighing 210 pounds, Batman stood across from J’onn. Batman would hold his hand out to take the device from J’onn.- “What do I have to do?” –He said very straight forward and not accepting of stumbling or vague information. Batman had taken in the Brown eyes that moments prior flashed red.- “What did you do to the commissioner?” –A sudden gust of wind blew pushing Batman’s cape some but, it didn’t flutter open like previous versions of it would’ve. Batman was right now analyzing and studying his potential victim.-
Jonn: Looked towards him as he approached, no fear in his gaze at staring down an unknown person. Commendable. The man would have made a fine Martian Officer if it ever came to that. Setting the USB Module in his hand, he nodded his head to the man. “We need the information on this piece. It will give the nations arming, along with which nation is currently under attack. I cannot be more specific on the matter.” he replied before the man turned and regarded the commissioner and he raised a simple eyebrow. He had been certain that the Detective had been in plain site of the man upon his arrival. And he questioned him now upon it? Had he made a mistake? It was possible, but time was crucial and his resources few. He locked eyes with the Detective once again. “He would have prevented us meeting. Given the gravity of circumstances, I could not allow that.” he stated before he regarded the aged man placing his hands behind his back, pondering on the sudden change in the man’s demeanor to the site of the policeman frozen in place. Perhaps there was more between the two of them than what he had first suspected? A friendship of sorts? “You need not worry. He is fine, and is in no way a hostage. He is simply frozen. When I leave, he will retain his full mobility, however will experience what one would call ‘Lost Time’ Syndrome. Something popular among Abduction Victims. The information?” He asked directing their conversation back on path.
Superman: As he continued to move on, he noticed that the unusual heartbeat continued to stay within a certain range of feet from him. Focusing more on it now he noticed that it was human. Perhaps it was one of the inhabitants. Without actually looking at the person he couldn't be sure but it was a reasonable enough assumption and their caution was respectable. If what he believed to be true about the island then whoever was following him would have no idea that he had been able to hear them coming. Superman kept his gentle pace, not trying to arrouse suspicion that he knew he was being follow. When the voice shouted, Kal stopped in his tracks as his body steeled itself to react to an attack if it came. Yet the demands that followed from the commanding, but lovely sounding, voice, Superman turned to face it while Slowly raising his hands up and facing his palms towards her. “I’m not here to cause trouble. I bring a warning.”
Diana: "Turn around," she commanded. "Slowly and with your hands up." She was unarmed, but that did not mean she was not dangerous. Of course, she had no way of knowing that the man in front of her was more than he appeared, a mere mortal with the body of a God, but a possessor of strength equal to, if not greater, than her own, as well as speed, flight and other powers beyond her realm of understanding. She squared her shoulders. "A warning? What warning?" she said, her voice becoming less stand offish as she stepped further out of the bush, and more into the same cleared space that he stood in. "Is it about the missiles?" She tilted her head to the side, urgently, desperately, wanting news. She knew she was right, but too bad this outsider was male; her mother would never believe him.
-Batman listened to his response about Gordon and found it…confusing. Never the less Batman maintained his solid shell as he held the USB device.- “It’ll take time to locate and decipher the information. I will look into it immediately.” –He said firmly and determined.- “Is there anything else?” –Batman would slide a control device off his belt.- “Once I have the information. How will I contact you?” –Batman didn’t find it strange, nor odd that he wanted to contact someone else; he rarely ever wanted to contact someone else as he usually had others contact him. Batman would quietly vow to himself that if anything were to happen to Gordon, this man would find himself in a lot of pain. It was definitely an odd exchange as neither men gave one another their names but, they seemed to have a common goal…or so Batman would take a leap of faith on it.-
Superman: Superman did as he was told, his hands held up at head height with his palms towards her. Being a stranger was bad enough, dropping in as he had done even more so. To warn this island he had chosen to walk a very fine line but it was one he was more than willing to for the sake of the island people’s lives. When she herself brought up the bombs however, Clark was a bit taken aback. Perhaps these people weren’t as far behind the times as he thought with the appearance only serving to fool outsiders. “Yes,” he answered, recovering quickly from the surprise, “This Island isn’t safe from them. Nothing on the planet is safe if enough explode. Please, take me to speak to your queen.” Superman spoke politely, but with urgency. If they knew about the bombs it was possible that they had ways to protect themselves from a few. However, nuclear winter was the threat that was truly being faced.
Diana: "I only hope she believes you," she said, stepping forward. "How did you get here?" she asked, noticing no aircraft around, and he was far too deep onto the island to have come via the sea. She narrowed her eyes, cautiously taking him in. She imagined women in Man's World probably found him handsome, and admittedly, she found his facial features striking, but looks were only temporary, unless you were a colony of near ageless Amazons. She could hear her Sisters coming from behind, the urgency of the situation just became more dire. Artemis was the head of the Guard, and she would not be so eager to listen to the outsider, especially one of his gender. "We must hurry," Diana said, taking his hand and leading him back down the path she had come to him by. "But please, tell me how you got here.." her voice was... curious. Diana was trying desperately to hide her thirst for knowledge of the outside world, but it slipped out so easily...
-Batman watched Commissioner Gordon a moment before pocking the USB device into his belt.- “I don’t have time to explain commissioner, We’re running out of time.” –Gordon:- “Time? What Time?” –Batman dashed towards the edge and leaped off the building as his cape opened and made him glide towards the ground. But, in mid-flight the Bat Mobile would suddenly roll around a corner as it slipped out from an alley way. Batman would land inside its open cockpit as it came to a slow speed. Once Batman was inside he closed the cockpit and immediately spoke.- “Isolate.” –The Bat Mobiles computer screen changed from blue interface to a yellow one. Batman plugged in the USB device while driving back to the Batcave. Batman was still holding the cell phone however, when he realized that he was, it would be placed on his belt. -He turned to the batcave where he immediately began walked over to the Bat computer to look over the files. The files would reveal India, Russia, China, and Korea preparing to fire nuclear missiles, Batman would rapidly conduct multiple scenarios and calculated estimations of distance between each location. From China to Russia was approximately 28 hour drive, or a 4 hour flight. The distance of all of these locations was incredible. Batman found the names of the men in charge of the facility and took a lot of effort to unlock security codes. Batman would tap into the communication channels but, there was nothing of silence and static. Batman narrowed his eyes not understanding why a military communication would be disabled in such a manner.
Superman: The woman’s response and the way she said it told him much. If appearances meant what they seemed than this was likely a matriarchal society with its government being one of a monarchy with the way she spoke of the queen and the sound of respect she had in her voice. Superman opened his mouth to answer his question but immediately stopped when his ears caught the sound of the footsteps of what sounded like a battalion coming their way. Allowing her to lead him away, he followed quickly while adjusting his steps to match her pace, not that it was difficult. The woman was almost as tall as he was and the difference was made up for with the length of her muscular legs. If this was not such a dire matter then he would have taken more note of her appearance. What he had noticed though was that her beauty. Not only was she physically attractive, but sure of herself. Confidence radiated off of her in the way that she spoke and carried herself. The question of how he arrived here came again and the answer was simple, “I flew.” Superman smiled softly, attempting to lighten the mood a bit. He understood the seriousness of it but did not want to seem unwelcoming about answering questions about himself. It was likely that here, just as in the rest of the world, his abilities could frighten the people.
Jonn: Turned his head to regard something in the distance and raised an eyebrow to it. There was little more that he could do without opening his mind to everything around him, and that was beyond something that he was willing to try at that moment. Being connected to every untrained mind and thought that they provided would be enough to drive him clinically insane. That was the last thing anyone wanted. But what was the next step? Going back to the Military Establishment was pointless, their relay was simply diverting the orders through a satellite uplink. And as much as he could have wished he could speak with computers at the moment it would not happen. And he paused turning his head to regard the uplink that he had passed by. And there he slowly descended down towards the dish, and cracked open the control module. Oh, it did set off an alarm, but he was not to concerned about it. He peered down towards the box and then he saw something that did not belong. It was human technology but it was crude, rough, mashed together. Grabbing it, he ripped the system out of the satellite uplink and peered down towards the piece. And there he tapped the digital display of the signals that it was tapped into. Which numbers and what they were, he did not always know, but he did recognize the emergency frequencies that were used over short band radios. And only set to broadcast static. Poor mans jamming device perhaps? This was not so good. But the American Frequencies would be opening up, allowing Batman to confirm that they had an hour before the rockets were to be fueled and preped for immediate launch.
-Batman would then hear on the American Broadcast Television. President Obama looked to the camera.- “My fellow Americans, there’s no easy way to say this so, I’ll just say it. Satellites have detected multiple nuclear silos in Russia, China, Korea, and India preparing to launch their nuclear missiles towards unknown locations. For our safety, I’m ordering America to arm its own weapon systems but, we will not fire unless given justified reasoning…” –Batman would pull out the phone given to him by J’onn. Waiting eagerly for the man to pick up, as soon as Batman spoke J’onn would probably know who it was if the phone call alone didn’t give it away.- “Someone is breaking down the communications between the Nuclear powers…And it’s worse. Someone has control over the launch sites…At top speed, My jet can reach Europe in 4 hours…But I can’t guarantee I can stop any of the missiles even if I were to leave right now…We need something fast…Incredibly fast.” “The most we can do is…be prepared to defend our continent…I-…” –Batman turned his attention to an American frequency.- “ SSN Philadelphia, come in…Say again, you’re under orders to break Radio silence…Come in god damn it!” –Batman would then say.- “Hold on.” –He typed into the google browser and immediately found the SNN Philadelphia B as a Los Angeles-class attack Submarine stationed in Gotham City. Batman would then inform J’onn.- “I have to pick you up. Where can I meet you?” –Batman began transmitting the data to the Batwing before walking to approach the Batwing.-
Jonn: Had gotten the call and he nodded his head peering down towards the home made Jamming Device. “Yes… I have found what appears to be a Jamming Device. Many parts, so as not to draw suspicion when installing. This was planned out, Batman.” he stated as he got he word and then he looked towards the sky and nodded his head. “I can make it, if needed. Where are the sites?” he asked as he turned to regard the sea. The man sounded rushed, as though something else was playing a factor in this. This was unusual. And there he nodded his head. “I am at the Military communications Relay by the Harbor. Why? What have you discovered?”he asked.
Green Lantern: Coast City... a beautiful place to live. It was by the ocean, had great beaches, the waves were great when the season was right, and the women. Yet right now absolutely none of that mattered. The President's message had just finished playing and Hal Jordan, Green Lantern of Sectore 2814 which included Earth, was absolutely speechless. Nuclear weapons... launched and no one knew where they were going? He needed to act now. Holding his ring high above his head, it glowed brightly and up into space he went. The Lantern crossed the space in minutes. Flying to one of the satallites, he held up his ring towards it as a green beam of energy spread out and covered it. Absorbing the information, the ring learned the present positions as of the last update. "Ring, calculate the probable destinations for each of the missles and order priority." Turning back towards the planet, he bolted back as the ring within a few seconds would use all of the knowledge it had gained from the satallite based on points of origin and travel paths.
-Batman would take off in the Batwing and fly towards the yard.- “I’ll be there in five minutes…” –Batman activated the Batwing’s jets causing the vehicle to fly really fast. While he remained on the line with J’onn.- “I believe a Los Angeles *nuclear* class Submarine is in Gotham Bay. They aren’t responding to communications from American forces…It’s not likely they wouldlaunch a nuke from here to destroy Gotham but, they could easily reach Washington DC, New York, or maybe even Chicago…” -As the Batwing arrived, Batman would begin descending the vehicle and allow J’onn to get in.- “We need to locate that Submarine and stop it before-….” –At that moment Batman and J’onn would see two large missiles launch out of the bay and begin flying skyward before changing direction to go South.- -It was that defining moment when Batman realized that he could feel his heart sinking into his stomach as the missiles moved quickly before splitting up to hit different locations. Batman would activate the forward grappling hooks and eject the Batpod off the back of the Batwing, the motorcycle thumped against the ground but, the Batwing had suddenly lost weight and was much more agile.-
Jonn: Turned his head to look towards the submarine in question and he raised an eyebrow. And then he looked around the area that he was in. He had just found a jamming device in a military outpost. There was bound to be some sort of guards that were supposed to be responding to the call to arms. Why hadn’t anyone showed up yet? “Washington cripples your leadership, and New York Cripples Finance. Chicago handles trade but nothing that cannot be redirected. Those are the two most likely points on American Soil.”He stated as he peered towards the Submarine in question, as it’s bay doors opened from the top and he just gasped. That was when he took off after the closest one. The one that had been launched separately. He Shed the disguise in mid flight, revealing his red eyes, green skin, black jump suit and long blue hooded over coat. A Martian with Fashion sense. With enough speed he had gotten over the tip of the missile. And there he used his intangibility to phase right through it. What happened next was the tricky part. He timed it just right so that way when he came out the other end of the missile, he was holding onto the main computer and arming device. With those in hand, he crushed them, watching the missile drop into the ocean harmlessly. There he saw the Bat wing moving, and he flew after it the blue coat whipping behind him. “This is John, Batman. I have disabled the Number two Missile. What is your ETA on the second?” He spoke through the cellphone that he had surprisingly kept with him at that point in time.
Green Lantern: As the ring scanned the satellite, it informed him of the missile launch and their locations. The force field around Hal glowed brightly as he quickly turned and bolted for the Planet at faster than light speeds. There was no way in hell he was going to allow nukes to go off. While school always taught the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it had been while he was in training that had really nailed home what nukes were capable of. He re-entered the atmosphere in a true second, quickly passing through it and while adjusting his flight path to reach the area in optimal time. The Lantern clenched his right fist tighter, his right glowing brightly again as his speed slowed down within the atmosphere. However he was still traveling at Mach 10 as he closed in. He was almost there now and, forming a pair of binoculars over his eyes, attempted to locate the exact position of the missiles while he came in from above. Zooming in, Hal saw only one and it was being chased down by so some sort of jet that he’d never even heard of and something else flying alongside. They were giving a good chase but he wasn’t going to just stop and risk it getting away from them. Streaking across the sky and leaving a long trail of green energy in his wake, Green Lantern had his ring calculate an optimal intercept path. Altering his flight as required, he just needed a few more seconds and he’d be there.
-Batman would look and see Jonn take off and before he could reach to the other, a green beam had flown to intercept. Leaving Batman with leftovers… The Submarine was already submerged and shipping out to sea, the batwing would fly to intercept the vessel over the ocean but, the vessel seemed to pick up that they were being followed by the Batwing, and suddenly anti-air missiles would begin launching towards Jonn, Batman, and Green Lantern should any of them get near. The Batwing would maneuver to get closer, but there came a point when it would be too dangerous to maneuver the large vehicle close to the water. Batman armed his grappling hook and then activated a face mask over his chin and lips. Two metal doors concealed his mouth and an internal oxygen system would activate. He opened the cockpit to the batwing and brought it down low and to the side of the Submarine’s large shadow underneath the water. -Batman would say to both the Bat Computer (for Alfred) and to the phone with Jonn.- “I’m finding out where the submarine is going…” Batman jumped into the water at what seemed like 20-40 miles per hour, the initial pain would be grunted off as Batman watched the large vessel slipping away rapidly. He aimed his grappling hook and fired it towards an exterior ladder, once it latched on Batman would pull himself towards the vessel while he was also being dragged deeper under water. Batman would control his breathing as the Batsuit wasn’t designed for deep sea diving. A few moments of swimming, Batman could feel his suit giving up its strength when the submarine began to slow and four divers rushed out of a side compartment to aim harpoon guns at Batman and take him “prisoner.” They would bring Batman inside the vessel and quickly changed their weapons from harpoons to assault rifles. -Two men would grab Batman’s biceps and drag him across the floor and onto the bridge. Standing at 6’4, dressed in a long green robe with black outlined trimming, brown hair, goatee, and gray streaks on the left and right side of his head. Ra’s would turn to look at Batman.-“I’m disappointed, Detective. I would’ve thought you had seen a trap from quite a ways away…yet you did exactly what I expected…” –The guards would open Batman’s face mask revealing his lips. Batman:- “Ra’s….You’ll kill millions…” –Ra’s would grip his cane and nod modestly.- “Think of it as, a chance to start over. We all have regrets…Things we wish we could’ve *undone*…Wouldn’t you agree, Bruce?”
Diana: "You can fly?" she asked and without further hesitation her feet were off the ground. "Perfect, let's go," she said, still hanging on to his wrist tightly. She would take off and drag him behind, whether or not he began to lift off was on his end; Diana was strong enough to take him with her where she went. "It will be much faster this way, and they will not be able to attack us so readily," she spoke in a very matter of fact tone. She hoped that he could convince her mother that they needed to intervene. The coliseum where Hyppolyta would be awaiting the return of the intruder was not far off in the distance now. <e>
Superman: The missiles were closing and needed to be dealt with. Three beams shot from his ring and back behind him, each forming a large ceiling fan and their blades forming an interconnected barrier behind him. With his willpower providing their durability, they would easily stand up to a few missiles. Hal’s power ring gave the ten second count down as he heard the first couple of explosions. It jarred him slight with his focus on stopping the nuke, but he kept pace. Green Lantern reached the position needed and a forth beam shot from his ring, scanning the warheads electrical systems in a second before forming a thin, film like construct around it and then sliding inside. Almost immediately, the nuke’s systems were all shut down as the last of the missiles hit Hal’s fans. Slowing his pace quickly, the fans disappeared as the forth beam altered its end into a large hand which caught the nuke. “And the wind up,” he muttered jokingly while his body turned towards the sky and he reared back with his right hand before throwing it forward like he was hurling a base ball. The construct imitated his action and the nuke was hurled with impressive strength up into the atmosphere where it would burn up harmlessly. Warming smile on his face, the Man of Steel nodded to his guide, "Yes." He didn't wantt to say much more at the risk of seeming a bit full of himself in the woman's eyes. "Whoa!" was his reaction to her swift snatching of his hand and being jerked up into the air. It was an unexpected turn to meet someone who could fly here, but he kept his shock hidden after the intial second of processing it. Following behind her, Superman took the time to examine the island closer. Everything was full of life. His eyes watched the animals wander about, ears listened to their strong heartbeats, while his nose took in air that was free of pollution. Beneath the yellow sun of Earth, Kal-El didn't need to breath but he chose to now. There was only one word that could come to his mind to describe this place: Paradise.
Jonn: Saw a green light and something shoot up into the sky. His red eyes widened slightly, before he came to the conclusion that one of the Lantern Core was here. And there he flew after the Green Lantern, allowing Batman to his devices for a short while, while he met with the other great Man of Green. When in Range he hovered there, the bottom of his blue hooded trench coat swaying with the sea breeze. He measured and weighed the man before he looked towards the Submarine in the distance that was chugging away at a pace that they could easily catch. “Batman is on board the submarine, he and it hold vital information about what exactly is going on.”He stated to the man. But then he raised an eyebrow. He heard the surface thoughts of many in there. They were nervous about having the Batman still alive and in their presence. Some felt that they should just kill him and be done with it. Ras’al Ghul was not such a man. He was a honorable type after a fashion. He wanted to prove that his way was right. That for the great good, there had to be sacrifices. And he knew that Batman was a threat, and a potential ally. But what he sensed from Batman was confusing. A calmness that a man in his position should not have. “Odd. Tell me, what do you know of Batman?”He asked.
Diana: She landed in the coliseum. "Mother," she said, her voice strong and confident as she touched down. "You have the intruder," the Queen, who was the spitting image of Diana, merely older, turned around, her voice even and strong as her daughter's. "What is your business here?" Hyppolyta asked, narrowing her eyes at the man. How dare he set foot on her island after what his gender had done to her and her kind. The queen stood with her shoulders back and watched the intruder. "He brings news from the outside world," Diana spoke strongly. "We need to intervene!" "Silence," Hyppolyta commanded. Diana down at her feet, her mouth drawing into a thin line.
Superman: When they began to lower themselves towards the coliseum, Clark steeled himself and his mind. With their destination almost reached he had to focus on why he came here instead of the scenery and return to being Superman. Once they landed in front of the queen, he could not help but noticed the almost spitting image of her and… her daughter?! Oh this was going to turn out well. He could only give his warning, however, and hope for the best. “Majesty,” he said, lowering himself down to a knee while keeping his back straight to show that he was not weak of character or will, but still humble before the ruler of the island. “I apologize for the sudden appearance any disrespect I’ve caused, but I bring a warning. The rest of the world is on the brink of nuclear war. Every nation with a nuclear arsenal stands ready to launch at a moment’s notice and if they do it will destroy the entire world. Nothing will survive between the destruction, radiation, and the intense winter brought- "on."
–Ra’s would gesture to the men.- “Take him to a holding cell. I want guards watching him at all times.” –The men hauled Batman away deeper into the vessel. Batman would think to himself. ‘You’re alone now…Those men went after those missiles selflessly…Whatever happens on this ship, they will *not* launch another missile. The men would bring Batman into what seemed like a box of a room with a prison door. Stripping Batman of his cape, belt, and bracers, Ra’s would instruct that his mask remain on his face, if not for purpose of defeat, to emphasize to Bruce how ridiculous it was in broad daylight. Batman would sit in the cell staring at his prison, analyzing every bit of it. He estimated that 800 Pressure per square inch would be capable of lifting the iron bar and permitting escape…Batman was capable of reaching 1600 with a punch. -Batman’s problem now was dealing with the security guards who would no doubt be watching him. Batman would beginning thinking over his options.- ‘Feign death…Seizure…self inflicted injury, insanity, absurd paranoia, such as claustrophobia…Decisions…’
Superman: Hal, hovering in the air and feeling just a bit smug with himself due to his success, was caught off guard by the cool, almost emtionless voice that started speaking to him. Reacting first, the Lantern spun around with his right fist raised and ready to attack before he realized that he wasn't being attacked. "Sorry about that. You surprised me," he quickly said, a sheepish smirk crossing his face, "What were you saying?" Crossing his arms over his chest, the Lantern listened as the man before him explained the situation. He wasn't shocked by his appearence. As a Green Lantern, he had seen far to many strange, weird and just plan wrong looking beings to be bothered by this one's appearence. "What to I know...?" he asked curiously while thinking for a moment, "Well my answer used to be a myth with a rather creepy obsession with SnM. But I think from what you just said the myth part is blown out of the water now."
Jonn: Concentrated upon the leader and then that of the Batman. Orders were issued and commands executed. Batman was in a holding cell. Watched by two armed guards. Now that in and of itself was a very stupid thing. Now for a time, he was going to do what he did not like doing. For the sake of billions there was little that he would not stomach for it. He applied more pressure to the mind of the man on the right. And there he planted the orders. The man turned and swung his rifle hard against his companions head, soundlessly knocking him out, outside of a thud. There the man undid the locks to the holding cell, and handed back the Batman’s Gadgets, belt and other confiscated devices. Once they were returned, he released the man allowing Batman to do what he would to the man. Breathing in, he sighed and he shook his head. He hated doing that. In fact he rather avoid doing it all together. But controlling the mind of the weak willed was childs play. The Leader on the other hand, was far to in control of himself to fall to such things. The ancient feeling to the man’s mind also made him seem more than what he was. There, he turned to regard his new ally and he nodded his head to him, completely oblivious to the fact that the man almost decked him with the power ring of his. “We follow the submarine. But not to closely, their transmitters may still be able to send launch codes else where.” he stated as he took flight.
Diana: "The Gods have protected us for years," Hyppolyta said, her chin held high. "We have no reason to think they shall turn on us now." "But Mother..." Diana tried to insist, taking a half step forward to challenge. "The outsider must be returned to his world; allow me to take the armour and go... Please." "No," Hyppolyta's hard exterior cracked, only a little but enough. She smiled at her daughter. "Daughter, I have lost one child already, I could not stand the grief if I were to lose you." Diana was feeling more like a child and less like a warrior. She didn't want to call her mother out for being a coward, but that's what it felt like. "Interfering in Man's World will affect the pact we have with the Gods. The council has already debated the merits of intervention," Hyppolyta turned, walking away from the pair, turning her back to reveal the armour of the Gods. "Of course..." Hyppolyta said slowly. "My back is turned. If my daughter were to take the armour to return the outsider, I would not know unless she showed her face..." The Queen left, setting her ceremonial helmet, drawn from her former lover Ares, sitting next to the armour before leaving. Her mother had basically said while she could not officially condone Diana going out, she would turn a blind eye to her disobeying
orders. <e>
Superman: Hal looked curiously at the green man before him and how he suddenly went quiet. As he continued to watch him, he saw the look of concentration come over his apparent ally. After a few moments, it was completely gone and the man's face returned to the calm, almost unfeeling look that it was. "You got it," he clicked his tongue and followed alongside "So tell me... how'd you run across the Batman of all people? I'm guessing that was him in that jet." If they were going to work together and it seemed do nothing at the moment, they might as well make idle conversation.
-Batman would turn his attention to spot the men moving, when suddenly the guard on the right bashed his partner with the stock of the weapon knocking him out. Batman narrowed his eyes studying the man ‘A spy? Secret government agent?’ When he opened the cell door Batman would step forward as the man suddenly stumbled backwards strangely, Batman raised his hands wanting to help the man but, then the man shouted.- “He’s Escaped!”-The man spoke with a heavy Arabic accent; Batman would promptly grab his gun and force it against the guard’s chest. In a moment, Batman would overpower the man and place him inside the cell, along with his partner.- Batman would’ve taken their equipment finding a map that he would look over. It was in Arabic and Chinese, Bruce would translate the Chinese first and came to discover that Israel, and Iraq were to be nuked along with New York city, Washington DC, Florida, and Maryland. All locations were targeted by this submarine. When Batman heard on the con Ra’s voice in Arabic, Bruce Wayne’s personality would emerge and he would say.- “The prisoner is locked away.” –Ra’s would make weak attempt of praise for their efforts but, Bruce knew that Ra’s didn’t seem to care. Time would pass and Batman would make his way to the engineering level and sit patiently, he managed to listen to the con when the navigation control reported the distance from target. It would only be a matter of time as the Submarine traveled at top speed before it would reach near its target. First officer:- “We are at maximum firing distance of our target.” Ra’s would tap his cane against the floor.- “Launch as soon as possible. No doubt, Batman has escaped and is currently working towards foiling these plans. Not even he can stop us now.” –Batman knew that they were approximately 1,864 miles from Italy, a distance impossible to swim but a measure necessary to prevent the launch of a missile. Batman made his appearance grabbing an engineer by the back of his neck to slam his face into the wall knocking him out cold. Batman saw three men reach for their guns to shoot Batman however, Batman hurled three explosive grenades towards them, and the grenades would burst upon colliding with metal steam pipes and controls. The sound of alarms and buzzing of internal damage would ring throughout the submarine commanding all personnel to evacuate.
Jonn: Turned his head to regard the man beside him and raised a nonexistent brow, before he nodded his head. The man wished some answers, and he would grant them. Looking towards the sea again, he flew on, keeping a just eye on his friend below the seas. “I had gotten my hands upon some information that was leading intelligence of your government. Military Nuclear Strikes were being planned. The information that I retrieved was encrypted, and I am not one that can handle such things, despite my training. I requested the aid of Batman, who in turn gave me the information of the submarine in question.” He replied as they flew on. And there he monitored the situation that Batman got himself into. But not just that, other things. The surface thoughts of those below, not paying attention to anything exact but still managing to listen to all. And then he stopped before he looked towards Hal Jordan and pointed straight down towards the water. “They are preparing to launch more missiles.” He stated as he drifted down towards the waters surface. He focused upon the Main engineer. It took but a moment, to plant the small order that was required. The man would see the gauges reacting in a pattern that would annihilate them all, and did the only sensible thing a man would do in his position. The man shut down the reactors and switched all the systems to battery powers. The Primary functions of the submarine would be dropped considerably. This included the missile launch control where it needed the main reactor power to open and launch the missiles from the consoles. What he did was buy time. Something that Batman would undoubtedly pick up on. But apparently he did not need to do much. In order for the Submarine to be evacuated, it would have to surface and he saw in the deep the water get far more darker than what should have been. There he raised altitude again to watch the great sub emerge.
Green Lantern: Hal listened as the two flew along, keeping pace with the sub as it closed in on whatever its destination was. That sounded like the goverment. If it was possible to end the war by striking first, the United States would. In a nuclear war, the one thing above every nation that America had was that it had actually used weapons of mass destruction and to great effect. Whether it would again remained to be seen...His thoughts snapped to the present when he heard 'preparing to launch missiles.' "We've gotta stop them!" he shouted, his ring starting to glow as he moved in. Creating a construct of sonar of sorts, one end dropped into the water while a radar screen appeared above his forearm. Hal watched it carefully as the sonar end pinged for the sub's location. A dot appeared on the radar that was unmistakably a submarine and just as he glanced over to the green man to speak, he saw that look on his face again. "What're you up to?" the Lantern questioned. Most Lantern's by now would've scanned the male to figure out what he was, however Hal didn't operate like most in the Corps. With no answer coming just yet, he turned his attention back to the radar for a moment. That was when he noticed the darkening watter and the size of the blip on the screen. Rising as well, Hal glanced back to the alien, "So how do you want to do this? Sneaky or do you want to blast in, hit hard and fast? "
Jonn: Watched as the sub emerged from the depths of the ocean, peering down toward the dark hull, and then to his friend. The Green Lantern had asked him how he wanted to do this? Truth be told, he did not know. However he did know that the leader down there was a far graver threat than what he first thought of. There he lowered himself and phased through the sheets of metal and beams, peering towards the men that barred his path, with their backs turned to him and completely oblivious to their impending danger. “The Batman is inside the engine core!” “How’d that happen?” Well that was interesting. And there he floated up behind him, only to slam their skulls together. Oh he did not kill them. Oh no. They were shark bait for later. He reached for the door, and ripped it off of the metal hinges before setting it down to the side. “Batman. Main power is offline. The Silos are down and communication from the sub is set only to the emergency band frequency. Let us hurry.”</B> he called out as he turned and began the slow march towards the bridge. “Have you gotten any new information?”
Batman heard the moaning of the vessel hull and could only imagine what Ra`s Al Ghul’s next step was. Batman would feel a gun press to his rib; naturally Batman would elbow the man in the face causing him to fall backwards and into a scolding hot pipe. The man screamed before Batman pulled him off and dragged him into a main corridor where Batman found an escape pod.- “Get off the ship…I’ll call for help.” –The man would crunch his teeth together and suicide causing Batman some internal pain for failing to save the man despite allegiances. Batman would then stop as he turned to see John.- “When did you get on board?...” –After a moment Batman would say.- “The ship is temporarily sabotaged but, I know the leader…There are still a few more things that need to be done before we’re safe.” -With that a sudden explosive rocked the vessel when John and Batman heard over the radio broadcast.- “Maestrale class Frigate has just fired a warning shot across our bow…” –The medium sized frigate could be seen by the Green Lantern as the vessel rapidly approached at full speed. Batman would look to John.- “These men won’t leave the ship and become prisoners willingly. They all have cyanide capsules within their mouths. We should take out the bridge and then we can coordinate from there.”
Superman: Hal raised an eyebrow to the Martian. "Sooo...?" He waited for the response and instead he watched as the man phased through the hull. "Um.. right. I'll be the lookout." Crossing his arms over his chest, the Lantern lowered down to the hull and used his ring to created a yo yo to entertain himself with. It was as he stood there, amussing himself with the toy construct that the warning shot came. Reacting on simple instinct, he formed a bubble around his body while kneeling to the ground to protect himself from any explosions. He looked towards the ship and held his ring above his head, the bubble disappearing as he created a large sign over the sub at least thirty feet in height and forty feet in width reading: STOP! Holding his left hand up to his mouth, a megaphone appeared in it and he shouted into it, the construct allowing his voice to be heard clearly, "This is Green Lantern! The situation is under control!"
Jonn: Looked towards the two men dying in the Batman’s hands. Did he do it though? No. They had acted on their own free will to do this. This was something that he did not like though. Shamelessly throwing their lives away. This felt all to familiar to him. He regarded the man and he raised an nonexistent Eye Brow and then shrugged. “I have always been here.” He replied cryptically before he turned and he nodded his head towards them. He walked forwards towards the bridge and he nodded his head. “Most have been redirected to deal with the Engineering problems. We will have no opposition down this corridor to the Command and Control Unit. The forward compartments are being filled with sea water and torpedo’s are being armed. We had best hurry.” He stated as the door to the bridge came into sight. And there he phased through the door, and peeked in, only enough for his eyes to get a good look at the men there. One manning the engines, one at the firing controls, one at the Navigation and the last in the Captains Chair. He raised his hand up to Batman and held up four fingers, signally how many were in the room. Before he slide to the side, using the shadows for cover as he danced through the room. Eventually coming to the roof where he maintained the see through transparency of his body. The man at the Firing Controls was the first to go. J’onn dropped down and landed on him. Using his shape shifting abilities he extended his arm with a out thrust forwards, sending a sharp jerk across one man’s jaw. He didn’t wait to be shot at though, his surface probing of the last crew members thoughts proved as much as the man shot his pistol off. He dove to the side and phased through the paneling with the momentum gained. Reappearing at the Communication’s Consol, stopping anyone from using it.
-Ra`s would watch as John moved through the room, he would calmly begin evacuating the room when he came across Batman standing before him.- “So, we meet again Dark Knight. The communications are destroyed. I suggest if you don’t want to be destroyed along with the rest of us, you’ll get off this ship.” –Batman would growl.- “If we die, so do you.” –Ra’s smirked.- “I’m afraid I can’t be bothered by death again…The Italians who your friend above us is trying to stop is merely helping my plan.” –Batman would reach to grab Ra`s but, Ra`s would slap Batman’s hands with his cane before kicking forward and knocking Batman against a stairwell railing. Batman stabilized himself and pushed off the railing towards Ra`s would armed his sword from his cane and slashed at Batman before spinning to kick Batman off the edge of the railing, Batman would roll down the narrow stairs grunting while falling. -Ra`s would look behind him to see John still occupied with the bridge, that he would continue to proceed to the weapon storage room. Ra`s would first pass by engineering and begin overloading the nuclear power source, before continuing to the weapons storage where he began manually activating the nuclear missiles within their compartments. The Maelstrale vessel would begin shouting Italian over their loud speaker at The Green Lantern; he could see their forward gun adjusting their positions to aim.
