Barry Allen: The Trickster and Captain Cold had taken hostages. On top of a roof where they could hopefully keep Flash in a small area incase they needed to. Cold was preparing traps freezing the top of the building so that Flash would have trouble running there. The Trickster was setting up bombs mumbling to himself” Trick me will you, you can’t trick the Trickster no no. “ He strapped an explosive whoopee cushion to one of the hostages. “ No noNO Tricking me is bad and all of you will pay!” Barry ran to the scene. Dressed all in red he looked up towards the roof. “ This is going to be tricky… 10 story drop. How many hostages do they have?” The officer said” 4 confirmed.” Flash balled his hand into a fist. He pressed his communicator.” Anyone on the watchtower? I could use a hand. ”
Black Canary: Dinah was manning the terminal at the Watchtower again. There was a paper cup taped over one of the buttons. "There, I won't lean on the radio button again." she said as she smoothed out the tape with one. She heard the call and quickly straightened up. She tapped a button. "Hey Flash, Canary here." she taps a few more buttons and the display gives an aereal of where Barry was. She then brough up reports on what was goign on in the area. "Need, info on what is going on Flash? Looks like some traps are being set up on the roof for you. Or would you perfer a little back up?" Her tone hinting that she would rather be fighting than being on world patrol duty.
Mari McCabe: Mari didn't like having too much time to herself. When she left the studio earlier that evening, she could tell that there was going to be that horrific idle moment between her day job and her…other job. But she'd only sat for a brief moment on her bed, before a blip came through. She was -suppose- to be off tonight, but…Mari shot up off of her bed and ran to her 'work' closet, pulling on her uniform even before listening in to the call. She didn't care what it was, she just didn't want to hang around her apartment by herself thinking of Zambesi. Vixen touched her ear piece and her sultry voice came over the line. "I can be wherever in two shakes." It was sort of true. Falcons did fly pretty quickly. Vixen launched herself out of her open arched windows and took to the sky with the spirit of a Peregrine Falcon.(F)
Batman arrived in the command center, approaching from behind Black Canary when he heard her speak and explain the situation. Batman spoke loud enough through the watchtower that Flash could hear him. “Tricks and traps are something I’m proficient and experienced in dealing with, due to the Joker. I’ll be on my way down now, Flash…Canary, are you coming?” Batman immediately moved for the door and glanced over his shoulder to look at her, his tone seemed calm with a flat bass to it, either Batman wasn’t pissed off or today has been pretty good thus far for him, at least this is how it would seem to those who watched him. The Dark Knight had his utility belt equipped with counter measures intended for disassembling puzzles and gadgets, an escape artists set of equipment rather than his usual detective equipment or combat load out.
Barry Allen: "Alright, I take it you've got an aerial view of the city, Do you see the building to the left with the red light on top, Beam down there, You should be hidden from sight. I'm going to go for the direct approvack, Canary, Take care of the hostages and watch your back, It's not like these two to work together without backup." Flash began to run towards the top of the building. Speeding up as he hit the surface of the glass and started running veritcal. He expected to hit a trap going upn, but better it goes off on him than an innocent. He hit the ice, and slipped forward hitting his chin to the glass before falling off the building. He tried to chang his momentium to flip around and run back up the glass.

Black Canary: Canary jumps at the sound of Batman behind her. How does he sneak up like that with those boots? She smiles as he mentions the joker, yeah that one hone one on being good with tricks. She nods with a smile as he looks over his shoulder. She replies to Barry. "Good idea Flash, we'll watch out and will meet you there." she gets up follows Bruce to the Transporter. "Yeah, I wouldn't miss it. Kind of nice not having the whole world in peril, although too bad about the hostages though..." She notices Batman's Utility built is different. "Looks like you're ready." She glances at Batman as they near the transporter. "You seem to be in a good mood today." she says sounding glad for him. they walk through the transporter and end up on the building next to the one that was the target, she gets into a defensive pose and looks about, ready.
Batman’s utility belt would look its usual design and shape; perhaps she was looking at his other features. Smirked confident and then noticed the change of scenery. Words he had with John Constantine weighed on him, suspicion and skepticism made Batman wonder what he meant eluding to Carnivals being completely harmless this time of the year, the Trickster might’ve known something about this whole thing, this was an opportunity for Batman to get some of his own questions answered. Upon arriving Batman pointed at the scarlet body racing up a the building when Batman’s eyes widened and a slippery wall the Flash raced into. Batman placed his arm in front of Black Canary indicating that she needs to give Batman space. He jumped off the roof and dove towards the Flash, his wings spread and folded into a Hawk-like position crumbled and shriveled for a dive in an attempt to capture Flash with a tackle. <c>
He within seconds of catching Flash, Batman fired his grappling hook causing it to smashed into the ice and creates a solid foundation for Batman to retract the line pulling Flash and Batman towards the rooftop.
Barry Allen: " WHOA!" He was caught, and he looked to Batman and he said" Thanks for the asist Bats." He glanced towards Canary with a slight wave of his bright red hand." Hey Canary.." He removed himself from the Bat and he said" Trickster has a few types of bombs, Whoopie cushins are pressure sensative. " Canary, See the guy in the blue parka, If you can take him out. I can get the hostages. Bats Can handle the bombs." Captain Cold fired his ice beams creating more ice, packing it around the area trying to prevent the speedster from reachng them. Trickster was speaking to himself, If Batman would take notice his reflection in the window was smiling back at him.
Black Canary: Dina nods as she hears him over their comlink. She gives a little wave back. She nods keeping her eyes on the guy with the parka. While he is busy adding more ice to the already slick rooftop she is tempted to keep her distance and canary cry him, but with him using the ice gun, she didn't want him to flail and hit her friends. With his back turned she sprints across rooftop and does a jump up onto the ledge and a flip into the air coming down with her feet at his back to knock him down with her landing on top of him.
“It only makes sense.” Batman stated as a mean of confirming what Flash was instructing. Batman approached a bomb and took notice of the ice, he was smiling; he never does that. Batman slammed his fist into the image attempting to punch the reflection and hopefully shatter it. “Watch out! There are mirror projections in the ice!” Batman was aware of the villain from Central city, Mirror Master, a thief who would’ve successfully stolen millions if he weren’t caught at the hand of Flash. Batman thought to play cunning and appear as though he never heard of the thug. Batman would attempt to disarm a bomb should his mirror treat from distracting him.
Barry Allen: Flash shook his head rushing up the building "Mirror Master, Change of Plans... " He made it to the top of the building faster fast enough to shatter the glass around the surface he was running up. He stood up ontop of the building stopping with his arms cross." Trickster, Captain Cold..Where's the other stooge hiding?" He ran towards the hostages and quickly began to untie them. Before noticing that the Hostages were holograms themselves."Crap Bats, Bigger Bomb.." a dart was thrown at him, He glanced to Trickster." So I take it that Mirror Master is behind this whole thing..." He rushed up punching Trickster in the face with enough force to drop him. He grabbed his silly string canister, and he said" Hey Canary Catch" Tossing the spray can her way." Spray Cold, We have to find Mirror Master before he hurts someone."
Black Canary: Dinah has a gleam of excitement in her eye, clearly enjoying the take down of captain cold. His gun hits the ground and slides across the ice away from him. "This is why fighting with ice is a bad idea, you lose your toys." she grunts putting pressure on him, pinning him. She cringes hearing there was a bigger bomb, more of a trap than they thought. she hears the flash give her a heads up and plucks the can out of the air. "Silly String?" She askes dubiously and starts sprayiing him with it, finding it binding him better than glue or rope, she gives an amused smirk and ties him up. "You boys go ahead, I'll catch up. She purposely tries not to look at the refelections in the ice too closely, she didn't want to appear that she caught on too much.
Batman disarmed the bombs he could find and then expressed his thoughts. “It makes no sense…The hostages…Why the illusion unless it was a trap designed for Flash to step into.” Batman surveyed the floor he was on and then tapped his cowl to activate detective vision creating within his HUD a interior design of the building, instantly transforming each wall into a portal into the consecutive rooms. He would search for signs of explosive devices, tapping a button on his wrist console to make adjustments. His white eyes would appear as though he were looking around the room making him obviously to Mirror Master’s location until he would reveal himself.
Barry Allen: "These are the games they like to play Bats. Sometimes I think your the lucky one when it comes to baddies." he crossed his arms and he said" The bomb could be anywhere in th city." He looked towards the trickster picking him up of the ground." James talk to me..Where is the bomb.." The Trickster screamed out "They Tricked me...They can't trick me....They will pay for Ticking me...Terrible pranks." He dropped the man and he walked over to Cold, Slapping him in the face." Cold...Bombs somewhere in the city...Tell me where Mirrior Master and the bomb is.." Cold coughed and said" There is no bomb...Master's in Gotham.."
Black Canary: Dinah smirks at Barry's comment about villians, everyone's villians are always easier than others. She liked taking down a mastermind, but sometimes just a thug robbing a conveience store was enough, you got to see the people who were really affected and felt like you did a good job. with the masterminds, you were never sure if you actually helped or not. She peered at the Trickster. "Is he always this schiztophrenic? he seems to be arguing with himself." As she heard Captin Cold's comment she frowned. "mirror master is there? or is he helping some greater master there?" she asked deducing a bit. She stands up? should we go try to pinpoint where he is?" she smiles.Black Canary: "While some of us go after this bomb? Divide and conquer?" (d)
Batman’s attention looked turned his attention upon hearing through the radio Flash’s interrogation. “Gotham? What’s going on in Gotham?” Batman’s words were meant for Flash or Canary to relay the question for him since he was beneath them inside the building. Batman began making his way through the building to reach the rooftop and allow the watchtower to lock onto his location. The dark knight’s eyes settled upon Captain Cold and approached with determination, he also noted The Tricksters behavior. “He’s not criminally insane, Canary. He knows something too. They both do!” Batman growled like a feral beast.
Barry Allen: "You seriously called them...I don't know what's going down in Gotham.. All I know is Master said something about keeping Flash busy while he was in Gotham, Didn't want you catching on that he was there. " He shrugged and said" I don't know what Trickster's problem is he's been acting weird all night." Captain Cold Explained. Flash looked to Trickster and said" He's not going to be any good as long as he's like this." He glanced over towards. Canary. " We can head to Gotham, Bruce.. If Mirror Master has something planned it will only be a matter of time before a body turns up,."
“Suicides in Gotham eh? I’unno much about ‘em chief. You’re the detective, shouldn’t you be the one eliminating all factors, no matter how bloody inconspicuous? The soul attraction in this city right now isn’t the economy that’s for sure and this shithole shares the personality of an unwelcomed in-law.” Were the words of John Constantine to the Dark Knight, a strange man that somewhat reminded him of his duties, he was stating the obvious, but the relevance of their conversation didn’t seem to have much of a connection. The Dark Knight tried to weave together the pieces into something bigger. The Dark Knight stood on top of Dover Building, a relatively medium sized 5 story structure in the North East section of the city. A river of asphalt separated the building from the amusement miles long bright lights of rainbow pigments and shades. <c>
Behind the Dark Knight stood the Flash and Black Canary. “Something is going on in Gotham and the only logical place is the most illogical place I can conclude…” The Dark Knight’s leg perched upon the ledge of the roof. His cape flowed behind him gently swaying in the wind. He tapped his helmet and spoke into his cowl. “Wonder Woman, Lantern…Assemble on my location as soon as you’re available.” He interrupted his own thought by informing those who may be necessary for solving this case. “The Amusement Mile has had a new circus in town, I checked into the details and the suicides have spiked since the Carnival has arrived. I’m willing to bet, Mirror Master is somehow involved, as were the other two of your villains, Flash.” Batman’s white eyes rolled to look at Flash displaying his bold chin and its serious expression.
Black Canary: Dinah smirked watching the Amusement Mile area that had the new circus and carnival, it had been years since someone had tried to do something with it and now it seemed to be bustling with excitment and people. She thought over the their encounter in Central City. "I could see Mirror Master delighting in using the mirror maze for his own amusement, but do you think he would really go to such lengths using an entire carnival? And do you think they were trying to bait us to come here?" She watched the carnival and it looked normal enough. Although she knew all amusements had their darkside, especially behind all the greasepaint and glamour. "Well, I could investigate the suicides at the carnival, going plainsclothes. Anybody like to join me?" she smiled.
Barry Allen: Flash glanced to Bats, and he nodded. " I could search the carnival for clues." He crossed his arms. Unwilling to sit still for a moment and he said" Mirror Master is closer to one of your villains than mine, Most of mine are either talking monkeys, or common criminals..Mirror Master is a Murderer. The Only one of my villains worse than him is Zoom. Carnival seems more like your type... You know I heard once that..When Villains want to scare one another they tell each other Joker stories." He then heard Dinah and he said" Now that seems like Mirror Master's Style...I'll go check out the House of Mirrors. "
Wonder Woman: Returning from business at home, Diana heard Batman's distress call and replied quickly. "Aye," she said with a nod. She changed her trajectory to Gotham, getting an auditory reading on Batman's current position courtesy of a GPS chip in their communicators and a request sent to the Watch Tower. Gotham was suffering, as it seemed to always be, from poor weather; no rain but thick, threatening clouds hung over head. Diana broke through the fogginess of the crystallized water droplets, darting through the taller structures, including those belonging, unknowingly, to the man she was meeting. Her speed decreased and she righted herself, dropping red boots first down into the centre of the triangle formed by the three, turning first to nod to Batman before smiling to Dinah and stepping to the side, standing between the two Gotham heroes as the blonde wigged woman spoke. "Sounds like a good idea," she turned to the two men, neither of whom she knew the alter egos of. -c-
Wonder Woman: The wry smirk spoke to how she knew Dinah liked her undercover work. "Not sure how inconspicuous I am, but I'm sure in normal clothes I'll blend a little better," she chuckled.
Batman listened to them and shook his head. “No, we maintain costumes. Down there is a mass load of people wearing all kinds of outfits…the Last thing we need to do is confuse each other. Flash and Canary check out the House of Mirrors, Wonder Woman and I will investigate the Haunted House. Both will likely have mirrors and either could have a bomb that Captain Cold and Trickster were talking about.” -Batman looked over the others to read their responses to his plan, they seemed interested in just showing up as regular people and while that wouldn’t stir panic, Batman best guessed that neither would their superhero costume, minus Batman’s. He didn’t trust this place, the coincidence was too great to simply be just a coincidence. Few changes could have created a stable increase in suicide but, what better than a traumatizing experience at a place of entertainment and mind games?
Black Canary: Dinah nodded. "I wasn't sure if our leads were solid enough to go in full tilt yet. But, you are right Batman, time is of the essence and who knows when the bomb is going to go off, probably best to not be too cautious. I just hope I don't get mistaken as my own cos-player." she teased. "Everyone keep alert and make sure to signal the others regularly so we can make sure we are all doing alright, if what I have heard about Mirror Master is true, that you might step through a mirror without realizing it and get trapped. Also someone might be able to piece together any supsicious thing, from their own findings and experience." she turned toward Barry. "Well flash ready to explore a mirror maze?" she smirked.
Barry Allen: He nodded to what Batman said" Alright. Don't take any unnessisary risks. When we get inside make sure that we can get through one comlinks, There could be jammers. " He swooped Canary off her feet and ran away. He thought it best they weren't in costume also. Changing into his street clothes and grabbing a set for her in a few seconds before she could even blink. He changed into a red underarmor shirt and a blue pair of jeans. "He turned his back in the alley." I'll watch out make sure nobody peeks on you."
Wonder Woman: With the other two gone Diana was left with Batman, admitably the person she was the least comfortable with on the team at the moment. Most of this was due to lack of exposure. In time she would learn his severity was not as cruel as he would like people to believe, and he would realize that Diana was more than a super powered being capable of crushing stone between her fingers and a body olympians worked tirelessly to maintain. "Can I offer you a lift? Or do you want to swoop down all black and broody?" she offered, trying to make a joke. It wasn't a good one, but it was worth a shot.
A nod from the caped crusader regarding Flash’s words about the communicator, Batman was aware of it already, but informing the others was probably a smart idea too. As Flash and Black Canary zoomed off, Batman looked at Wonder Woman and blinked for a moment. “…Lets get this over with.” He offered his arm to wrap around her shoulders and for her to grab his waist in order to fly. With her it wasn’t as bad doing this with, though he didn’t like losing dependency no matter who it was, Superman also felt awkward for the masked vigilante to ‘ride’ with. Once they arrived outside the haunted House, Batman sized up the bizarre shaped building with narrow dimensions and wooden shapes. The house appeared like an old hotel, shudders snapped open and shut mechanically and despite the superstitious undertones, Batman knew that behind every magic trick there was a logical and scientific explanation. There was nothing to be feared.
Black Canary: Her eyes widened as as she was wisked off her feet and was gone in a moment. The feeling of the speed was exelerating as the buzzed down a wall and across the streets of Gotham. It made her motorcycle seem more like a bicycle. And before she knew it she was in an alley with the flash in plainclothes. She smirked as he played gentleman and turned around. She touched his shoulder. "It's okay, I think I will stay in uniform for now, I'm good at quick changes but not as much as you. 'sides I'm sure Mirror master knows we're coming." she smirked and walked with him into the carnival, it was loud and full of chaos of people running and shouting. Some of the locals seemed to do a double take, but most wrote her off as a fan dressing up. Part of her wished that there really wasn't anything going on at the Carnival, after all of the threats that have been going on in the world, a good carnival and break of reality would be good for people. But it wasn't worth people dying over. (c)
Black Canary: As they neared the mirror maze they saw the mirrored opening that looked almost like someone smiling too wide and saw their reflections being echoed into the maze, the corridors seeming as gaping and changing as the sea. she uncupped her hand to reveal some lipstick she had taken out of her costume earlier and drew an 'A' on the first mirror. "I know it's cheating, but why take chances right?" she marked 'B' on the second as they strode in together. (d)
Deathstroke: A knocking sound would come from a an entrance to the attic of the haunted house. The sound of heavy chains rattling The sounds were to erratic to be a recording of a chain rattling. the chains would com incontact with a beam. and a grunt could be heard. as if someone with a deep voice had been hit in the chest with a large wooden plank.
Barry Allen: He smirked and ran back to the place before he went inside of the house of mirrors he would change back, rushing in. And he said" I won't tell if you don't." He smirked with a quick wink and he said" Besides It's very likely He'll end up cheating anyway." A gray image passed the mirror infront of Dinah blurry an unable to determine what it actually was. " Bats We are in." Flash said not seeing the Gray image.
Wonder Woman: His discomfort was more than pallatable; she clearly could tell he had no desire to be "chauffered" around by her, but it was the easiest and quickest way for them to both get down there. Her arm wrapped him at the waist and she shrugged into his weight, her fingers gripping his belt. "Alright then," she smirked, the smile betraying that she was indeed getting a little bit of sick pleasure from his discomfort, as much as she would hate to admit it to anyone. It was very unAmazon. Entering the haunted house Diana was keenly aware of the emotion, the terror, clinging to the walls. Some of it was soaked in fun, but most of it was very real. Her brow furrowed as she looked at Batman, her head tilting to listen more intently to the sounds.
He took note of Wonder Woman’s smirk, she was obviously enjoying his discomfort. He almost cursed himself for being rather obvious about it instead he kept himself sober and focused, it would keep him occupied from thinking about his current situation of flight. Once landed and he ehard her speaking he replied “It’s just illusions that can be explained. Don’t be scared.” Batman continued up the stairs of the haunted house as there was a man standing at the entrance holding a measuring pole. “Step right up, this tall to enter.” Batman narrowed his eyes and then ignored the man to walk right inside as the man didn’t seem to stop him as he entered a room that began to feel as though it were curving. The Dark Knight felt his balance shifting as he turned the corner. “Keep your eyes open for any trap doors or mirrors that he could hide in…And be careful, your strength could collapse this whole building down on us.”
Black Canary: She smiled as Barry shared her cheating and nodded she was sure there no rules in the Mirror Master's domain and that he would use any advantage he had. She blinked and grabbed Barry's shoulder. "hold on. I thought I saw something, we should take this slow." she stared to see if she could make out the grey fleeting image. "it was like a shadow in the mirror..." she looked and didn't see anything to start with and slowly moved on, looking carefully at the mirrors as she marked them, glancing back to make sure the ones she passed still had her markings.
Barry Allen: Barry grabbed Dinah's hand and he said" Stay close, and what ever you do don't scream, We can't afford to be seperated in here. Mirror Master could use that as an advantage. Remember, any Mirror could be a window for him. He continued to walk further into the place holding her hand. This time the image appeared infront of Barry. e stopped and he said" Did you see that? It kindof looked like a Jester... "
Deathstroke: The banging continued, the grunting became louder, and the voice would be familar to Bruce. The chains would rattle a loud bang would follow and the grunt again. A voice almost screaming" Fuck, but in a muffled grunt. Like someone was gaggedo n the floor just above Bruce and Diana.
Wonder Woman: "Scared?" she raised an eyebrow. She was about to launch into a mini rant about how she had -litterally- gone into Hades, walked in escorted and armed only with her Lasso, to face War himself, only to find a truth more fightening than anything that a mortal hallowe'en could draw on her. She was keenly aware of her surroundings, stretching the bounds of the Goddess Artemis' gifts, the ability to hunt. The only sound that stood out was the moaning, the chains upstairs. "I will try to keep that in mind," she said with a murmur, her feet leaving the ground to hover just above. "That is not a recording," she stated as if it were a known fact and not a hunch.
Batman narrowed his eyes at hearing the familiar grunt. “Deathstroke…” He spoke to himself outloud and then looked at Wonder Woman. “Come on.” He moved quickly through the house to find a stair case that lead to the attic, or what Batman would assume as much. He swiftly kicked open the door and stepped inside his fists clutched and held into the stance of a boxer, preparing for an attack or something of that nature to come from Deathstroke. “What’s going on here?!” Batman growled while demanding an answer for what was going on inside the attic.
Black Canary: She gave Barry a look as he told her not to scream. "I'm not a little girl in pigtails you know." But she let him take her hand as the walked on, still marking as she went. His comment about not being seperated a good one, but part of her wondering if he just wanted to hold her hand. She looked where Barry was pointing and jsut saw the image fade. "Yeah, but I couldn't' make it out..." she reached out and touched the mirror.
Deathstroke: In the attic Slade was tied up with several seperate chains, Even throug hish mouth from feet to neck. His weapons and armor were laid in the corner. He glared over seeing Batman. "Gee Mee Dnnn." The chains were blocking his speech as he couldn't move his teeth without breaking them out on the chain. He calmed down there was blood all over the chest area his own blood. He glared through the eye patch and with his one good eye locked directly on Batman.
Barry Allen: " I meant if you scream you'll shatter the mirrors, and we will have that many illusions to deal with. " He said and he caught a glimps of a hand appearing he quickly grabbed her and pulled her away as a grey hand grabbed his shoulder instead of her hand. the very color seemed to be drained from his costume at the touch of the creature as it made it's solid walking from the mirror. The Grey Jester stood infront of them a sinister smile coming from it's lips revealing razor sharp teeth," Friend of your's Canary?" He moved back Speeding back towards her. as the thing appeared.
Wonder Woman: She wouldn't recognize the man or his voice, her eyes going wide as she saw the man strung up, bright eyes quickly following the chains from the body to the walls and ceiling, catching the costume in the corner, she hesitated leaping into action. "Friend of your's?" she asked, cutting those light coloured eyes back to look at Batman before returning to Deathstroke. At the least, she felt confident in removing the chains from his mouth; what was he going to do? Bite her? He'd be better off gnawing on the chains than her fingers, rising up and forward, Diana reached for the metal in Deathstroke's mouth. Were Batman to caution her to stop, she would, but with no words of warning, she would otherwise simply snap the metal chains, easily freeing Slade's mouth.
Batman narrowed his eyes at Slade. “Deathstroke is hardly a friend but we need answers and he is a clue that *something* is going on here…Who are you working with now?”Allowing Wonder Woman to remove the chains for him to speak. Batman wasn’t about to let the wanted Criminal and vigilante to roam free without just cause or more information. Deathstroke was a loose cannon and could easily seek revenge against those who had betrayed him. Batman could hypothesize hundreds of ways Deathstroke got into this predicament but, he wouldn’t accept any of them without proof. The last thing Batman needed was another murder to solve created by the vigilante and mercenary before him. Batman analyzed Deathstroke’s wounds to decipher where they may have come from, it was unlikely the chains were grinding against him to cause such bleeding, but an analysis would provide answers.
Black Canary: She smirked, "Oh, that scream. Yes, but being a lot smaller would hopefully help, but I will be cautious." she suddenly felt herself pushed back and saw the hand come out of the mirror and bleed the color out of Barry's costume. "Your costume..." she looked as the Jesture preered at them and with it's wicked teeth, it looked like a nightmare from her own childhood. "No, I don't..." she said as got into a defensive position. The creature was unsettling, but she wouldn't let that stop her.
Deathstroke: " Not working with anyone Batman, Got paid to find a client's daughter, she went missing here last night. I suspected Nursey Crime, Your resident pedophile villain. Ofcourse Joker was a second suspect.Besides do you really think any of your enemies could beat me in a fight. Take my armor and my weapons away from me..Think about it. Turns out these Carnys they have power. The Strong man managed to knock me out with a single punch. The Gypsy with no eyes, she can see alot better than you can..with your fancy lenses. They knew I was coming before I even got here. " The wounds were self inflicted from making the swing and bashing his chest against the op railing." So listen Batman, Have Your hot girlfriend cut me down, and I'll help you... my only priority is finding the girl..revenge is secondary."
Barry Allen: The Jester laughed blood flying from it's mouth as it simply laughed a hidious sounding laugh at them. It began to move towards them. "Canary remember what I said about not screaming....Forget that." He couldn't use his speed at full force here. He had nothing to run through but alot of glass. He Began to prepare to attack the creature if her scream didn't work.
Wonder Woman: Her jaw squared at the comment on her physical presence, and the assessment that she was in anyway a possession of Batman's, her blue eyes narrowing, never the less, he had a point. Batman had a point. He had information that they needed, but they didn't necessarily have to cut him down to get it. Again, Batman seemed familiar with Deathstroke, and as such she turned, her eyes suggesting that there might be a compromise, where they get what they want and leave him out of the game. "We do not have to cut him lose," she said, letting her lasso slip from her hip and into her hands, held out as if it were a threat. In preparation she made a small loop, the knot tied with deft and well practice fingers, the chord going up, loose around Deathstroke's neck. She would pull tighter, not to strangle, but there would be a momentary choke that would release and allow him to speak.
Internally Batman was amused by Deathstroke’s accusation about Wonder Woman, however; there was a time and place for that sort of thing and in front of an enemy was not the time to prod at a comrade, instead he wouldn’t respond to it and allow Wonder Woman to address it as she felt necessary. Batman listened to Deathstroke’s words, thinking about it for a moment. “Strange times make for strange allies, Deathstroke, just a few questions first, then I’ll *consider* letting you go.” Batman’s tone was firm and deep with a flat bass to his voice. “We’re working to find a bomb that Mirror Master has planted. Do you know anything about it? What can you tell us about the carnival? How do you know the power of these people? You’re a pretty strong man to be easily subdued by a bunch of carnie thugs, what kind of power are we talking about here Superman or a Divine level of power?” The Dark Knight’s expressed lips didn’t change from a flat seal across them with a firm presence of his chin. <c>
His cowl etched to appear agitated and angered though his voice and tone would not reflect as much right now. He was speaking calmly with a deep tone as previously described.
Black Canary: Dinah's eyes widened as she heard the laugh and saw the blood fly from it's mouth, a grim look on her face mixed with disgust. she nodded at his suggeston, "cover your ears." She widened her stance and took a deep breath, they were in close quarters and with how the jester's touch affected Barry's costume she didn't want to see how it affected living flesh. She let loose a piercing screech hitting and shattering glass as it radiated out stattering more of the mirrors about them, she hoped it would affect this insane looking monster of a clown. Ready to give it a kick in the face and then go out the path made by her cry if they could.
Deathstroke: "Listen Gorgous I'm all for being tied up in the right circumstances but seeing as I've been hanging here for 24 hours I don't think nows the time for Happy Bondage fun." He glanced to Batman and he said" Not as strong as her." Obviously talking about Wonder Woman." But stronger than I am...Somewhere in the middle." The Lasso didn't prevent him from being a smart ass." But Like I said, The Gypsy could see me before I got here, Chances are they know your here. All of them have power, And they get stronger everyday. So Unless you want a bunch of metas running around making the Joker look like a birthday clown..Cut me down so I can help you."
Barry Allen: The Jester was blown backwards, shattering several mirrors in it's path. The sickening smile turned into a twisted frown as he stood back up large pieces of glass sticking out of his form. Barry ran towards it, Punching it in the face, as hard as he could then zooming around to slam his elbow into the back of it's head. then zooming around tuppercut it as it leaned forward. Knockng it away from them.Glass sticking out of various more parts now, a large shard stabbed through it's forehead.
Wonder Woman: Her grip on the lasso tightened momentarily, her eyes narrowing slightly as she looked at Deathstroke, the bottom of her eyes coming up as they narrowed, a not quite menacing but certainly thought provoking glare. "You will not double cross us," it was not a request, nor was it a question. Diana had a sick stomach when it came to taking lives, but it seemed she was far more willing to go the extra step, but only if required. She left the lasso hanging around his neck as she moved to the chians, the end wrapped several times around her wrist so if he were to try and run with his newly minted freedom, he'd find himself quite entangled. The metal cracked under pressure from her right hand, her left braced against his chest to prevent him from a) falling to the ground and b) falling on top of her. She let him down and released the lasso, jerking her head to the side. As she moved to Batman's side she paused, "Are you sure this is a good idea?" she whispered quietly.
He would not prevent Wonder Woman from unbinding Deathstroke at which point he would tell Wonder Woman. “The lasso isn’t necessary anymore. Deathstroke once ceased a contract with Great White Shark to kill Catwoman and I under the conditions that Shark was smuggling children into slave labor.” Batman began walking over to Deathstroke’s equipment allowing Wonder Woman to decide for herself whether she would let him go or not. Batman pulled the Equipment away from the pile they were in and tossed Slade his bandolier and if Diana was no longer holding him, he would toss Deathstroke’s sword and Staff to her, for her to give to him when he was ready.
Deathstroke: " If you want to go a round darlin' I'll be sure to accomidate you when a little girl's life isn't in danger.but right now I have a job to do." He continued to hang there." So I can continue to sit here tied up staring at your legs...No that I have much of a choice at the moment.. or you can cut me down, and see where that gets us."Besides double crossing you isn't exactly on my list of things to do tonight....and this chain is starting to chaiff....In a very uncomfortable place.. My sword can cut this chain, just Slice down the middle..carefully."
Black Canary: Dinah smiled a little seeing the jester get knocked through several mirrors and then get back up, a little horrified that it moved so well with all those mirror pieces sticking out of him, especially the one in it's forehead.. She couldn only watch as the flash zipped about attacking the creepy jester knocking into more glass as he got it away from them. as it passed her gave it a strong side kick to knock it into a piece of half broken mirror, hoping it would be caught or unable to move. She wasn't ready to run just yet, she wanted to stop this creature. she tapped her ear piece. "Encounterd a monster of a jester in a mirror that tried to attack us, fighting it now."
Wonder Woman: His body was set on hte ground and the lasso released in time for her to catch the staff with her right hand, the sword with the left. It was a swift, well practived move that expressed the training that ran deep within the Amazon. Her eyes were cold as they watched Deathstroke. She looked as if she had something to say but instead her hand twitched, the staff coming down to extend to Wilson. "Hurry it up," her words were short sticattos.
Batman’s head perked up from Black Canary’s words and then he looked at Wonder Woman and Deathstroke. “Wonder Woman, Black Canary and Flash need help, we’ll be there shortly. They need you now.” Batman moved away from Slade’s gear allowing him to finish his own arming, Batman tapped his cowl to activate the detective vision causing the wooden surface in front of him to become transparent and reveal all the people outside as skeletons. His vision extended and went the distance towards the House of Mirrors where Batman was just out of range to see clearly. “I need a hole here.” Batman tapped the wall signaling Wonder Woman to break it open enough that they could walk through.
Green Lantern: "Alright, Waller," Lantern answered her with a nod and uncrossing his arms after she finally finished the second briefing that she had called him in for, "I get it. Now if you'll excuse me, some of the people you've dogged this entire time our out there fighting this fight for you and I need to get there and join them so all of us will be." Behind the domino mask covering his brown eyes, Hal narrowed his gaze sharply, the mask adjusting a bit from the movement an tightning of facial muscles. His Power Ring began to glow and off he went, breaking the sound barrier before Waller could get the second word out of her mouth. He cut a bright, glowing green streak through the sky, his speed increasing while he focused his Will. "League, Lantern. Be there in 20 seconds," and then in a bright flash of green light, he sped up once more.
Jonn: Stepped out of his car, a loan from the airport, stiffling a sigh as he peered toards the carnival. Apparently there were those that disapproved of the presence fo some of the participants there, and slowly he walked forwards, his hands dragging the tails of his trenchcoat back slightly and then into his pockets of his pant legs, shaking his head lightly at the ruckus that was now becoming them. Why was it that humanity had to indulge in such fruitless pass times, he would never know. Passing the threshold of the gate he locked onto the presense of Earths Mightiest heros, and just walked forwards, bypassing the crowds that were still about while he progressed, approaching the heros from behind as he did so.
Wonder Woman: Nodding to Batman, Diana turned her attention away from Deathstroke, unimpressed by his sharp words, an attempt to get under her skin no less, or appeal to her vanity. She wasn't sure, but she did know it was a futile effort. Her legs took two steps before she took to the air, flying through the hallway towards the call for help. She didn't have Batman's digitally augmented vision, but she did have keen senses of her own, gifted by the Goddess Artemis, Patron of the Hunt. Her ears picked up the sounds of trouble and she took off towards it.
Batman saw that Wonder Woman didn’t break open the hole like he requested, guessing she was too distracted by Deathstroke, Batman braced himself into a combat stance, one Deathstroke probably had seen before as it was unique in Chinese Martial Arts. His mind became clear, his fist became a rock and suddenly 3,200 pounds of pressure slammed into the wooden wall smashing it into pieces as allowing Batman to kick open the rest in the shape of a human. He felt no pain or anything from the direct hit; his mind numbed it and passed it off as normal. The method was a lot stealthier than Batman anticipated using Wonder Woman to do it, which Slade would likely feel as inclined with the opportunity of stealth still in their favor. “There are civilians out there. Avoid collateral damage.” Batman said with a bit of a growl towards Deathstroke, before the shadow of the Knight fell off the building and landed in the front passing the ticket man too busy greeting new arrivals to the haunted house. <c>
Batman’s legs carried him as he rushed through people dodging and weaving through crowds carrying ballons, large stuffed animals, baby strollers, things of a typical carnival that annoyed anyone who was trying to get somewhere fast.
Deathstroke: got dressed in his armor quickly enough connecting his holsters , Swords staff, a few grenades. and he soon caught up to Batman and Wonder Woman. He glanced towards Batman and said" I thought you were the quiet type Bats. "Be ready soon as this wall is gone, every bad thing in this goddamned Carnival will know we are here." He was ready to kill everything that was about to come after them, but he didn’t think the other two had the resolve he did. He pulled a sword from its sheath and prepared scanning through the cracks in the wall, he determined the best course of actions planning each move ahead of time mentally putting himself 10 moves ahead.
Green Lantern: Lantern hit the carnival grounds just as he said in the time he gave. "Alright," Waller had given, although roughly shoved would be more accurate, information about this place twice but even now as he stood here it was admittedly hard to believe a lot of it. Turning towards the House of Mirrors, he shot forward, pusing his ring to face through the walls of the building, Hal hit ground beside Flash and Canary. "What the..." he could never remember seeing Canary and, "Flash.." he whispered. The sight of his best friend and Canary like this... it kept him from at first noticing the Jester that stood a few feet away from them, but the laughter made his eyes lift. "You son of a bitch..." Green Lantern's aura burned rightly, taking on the appearence of flames licking at air, as his fists clenched tightly together. In a bright flash of green, Hal bolted forward, raising his right hand back and surrounding it with a giant, hulking construct of an armored gauntlet aiming to smash the -
Green Lantern: Jester thing straight down to the ground and feet into it.
Wonder Woman: A streak green came from the Heaven's and Diana's eyes went wide. On the one hand she would be happy to have the back up power that Lantern provided; truly since she hadn't seen J'onn and had no clue there was anyone else in her class. The other hand, Hal's arrival signalled an escalation of the violence, especially as she saw him lash out at the Jester character. The minute that would bog down Batman and Slade would be avoided by Diana as she again flew, soaring over the tops of tents and whiszzing past carnival rides and over the heads of guests, all towards where she had seen the green streak touch down. "Lantern!" she shouted, her voice carrying with it a volume that surpassed the tone; she shouted without seeming to yell. She didn't want him to allow his emotions to run rampant; the Jester might have information they could find useful.
Deathstroke: Slade ran through the crowd , scanning the area as he ran, hitting the side of dart throwing booth crashing through it dodging the darts as they were tossed towards the balloons. Snatching a couple of them out of the air as he went through the other side. As soon as he was out of the booth, he jumped in the air, knocking a man on the dunk tank into the water. And jumping into the air running up a tent pole to the tip of a large tent where that lead to the freak show. He could see ahead of the others to the house of mirrors. He pulled out his staff and fired towards the wall to make a hole for Batman and Wonder Woman to get in. Spinning his staff around, He looked to the tent, slicing a hole in the top of it, and jumping down into the freak show.—In the House of Mirrors. Barry laid there unconscious all of the color drained from his costume, The gray jester now had traces of red in his own costume laughing like a demon. He hadn’t gotten to drain Dinah yet but the new Green Glowing
Batman was racing through the crowd when he saw Deathstroke fire from a short distance away, he narrowed his eyes and tapped his communication. “Wonder Woman, I’m breaking off, Deathstroke is onto something, Call if you need back up.” Batman dashed towards the freak show, diverting his course to the House of Mirrors. He fired his grappling hook towards a Ferris wheel and used it to pull him above the tent, winged ripples within his cape flourished around him as he landed right behind Deathstroke with his fists gripping the edges of his cape folding them in a semi circle like a bird of prey. His arms separated at the waist and prepared to fight whatever was inside the freak show. The Dark Knight wasn’t aware that he was being followed since escaping the Haunted House, his attention was now focused on keeping Deathstroke in check.
Green Lantern: Hal pulled his fist back and clenched his fingers tightly, ready to strike the next blow on the smiling clown that attacked his best friend. Diana's shout, however, caused him pause just long enough for the creature to pull itself into the mirror. "Dammit..." he cursed under his breath, punching the wall. *That sonuva bitch... hurt Dinah. Hurt Barry. I'm gonna make him eat his teeth* The aura-turned-flaming aura continued to burn as his eyes narrowed. THen the laughter started to come again and Hal took a step quickly back, eyes scanning around at each of the mirrors. "Good thing I don't believe in bad luck."
Wonder Woman: "Copy," she said, tapping her ear piece for a moment to listen carefully to words spoken by Batman, her eyes never leaving the gray Jester and Lantern as the wrestled in front of her. Her lasso was loosed from her hip, stretched between her hands. If she could get Lantern to stun him, she might be able to restrain and get some information. The creature disappeared into the mirror, causing Diana's eyes to narrow curiously. "How do you know that breaking the mirror will release him?" she asked, setting herself down at his side, an eerie calm seeming to come from her. The comment about the bad luck led her to believe he was lanning on shattering the mirror. It was an illusion, a lie. Diana had her own ways of finding the truth, bit she was unaware of whether her methods would work on a mirror.
Deathstroke: Deathstroke dropped into the center of the freak show. Pulling out the darts he had taken from the booth. He spun one around in his hand as he saw a cage door open, moving towards it when he read the title on the cage. The Human Serpent. “ Great.” He could see the tail as he moved closer Then he saw the head stick between the bars stabbing the dart in it’s right eye as it jerked forward he wrapped his arm around it’s neck holding it in a headlock.” Here’s what’s gonna happen, Your gonna take me to the where they are holding prisoners, If you don’t I’m going to cut your head off, and move on to the next freak..Go it.” The Snake hissed spitting venom but couldn’t escape. The Large man that was following Batman hadn’t taken notice of the Martian yet but he didn’t need to. The man in the black and red suit who was called a healer by some people appeared infront of the flanking martian. “ Wouldn’t do that if I were you…The Bat can handle the muscle well enough without you..No No you need
Deathstroke: ..No No you need to worry about me.” --- In the house of Mirrors the Jesters reflections began to act independent of each other, each showing a different emotion or action. Two of them even seemed to be speaking with one another. They kept there black eyes on their two newest victims. Then one of them stepped out followed by another, and another until all of the jesters were out. Over a hundred, of all sizes reflecting the size and shape of the reflections. A few from the broken glass that Flash Dinah and Hal had made began swarming Wonder Woman like ants. Biting at her legs. The larger ones ran towards GL.
Batman narrowed his eyes at Deathstroke’s threat, not wanting to spoil Deathstroke’s end game, Batman growled. “Deathstroke…” Batman took a step towards him and the Serpent-Man when his attention turned towards the larger man following. Batman hunched down making himself smaller than what he actually was his legs getting into a defensive position allowing him to maneuver and dodge as necessary if the large man were to make a move after him. His chin became solid and stiff with his eyes leering at the large man almost daring him to make a move against the Dark Knight. Underneath his cowl blue eyes sized up his opponent, studying his weaknesses primarily being his size and perhaps lack of armor. If he were a muscular man than he would most likely be slow. If he were a chubby man, than mobility would be his weakness.
Black Canary: Dinah slowly came to, but remained quiet. Ugh her head. It felt like she had been hit by semi. She could normally take a hit well, but she hadn't expected the jester to be so strong. He had surprised her, that wasn't going to happen again. Seeing the green glow and a flash of blue with white stars as well as too much gray. At leasst her friends were here now, but looks like they were outnumbered, she smirked, her kind of odds. Where was Barry? she looked over and saw the black and white Flash, Bary's skin looked pale and sickly. What on earth did that jester do to him? Gathering her strength, and wincing at the pounding in her head she suddenly rolled up to stand next to barrry? "Don't count me out yet boys." she grinned. "If you wanna finish him of you gotta get through me." Know that she knew they were strong, she had a better advantage this time, or so she hoped. She kicked one, while elbowing one behind her. Being sure not to use her hands, wanting for her flesh to touch them (c)
Black Canary: she didn't want to risk the same thing that happened to the Flash. She dodged the next and went down low to kick out the feet out from another. Not wanting to get caught by another blow, she couldn't afford a knock out now. She had to protect Barry while the others took care of the rest. (d)
Jonn: Arrived and had seen the one of orange and black handle is own with a unique prescision and grace that he had not found often in the human race. When the large lumbering form of the greater lizard began to follow the Dark Knight though, that was interesting and he had been about to do something reckless when a third voice spoke out. Masking his faint surprise by the being well enough, he half turned his body to regard the man with a raised eyebrow, his curiosity peaked. "Oh? I'm curious, to what exactly do I have to be worried about?" He asked that calmness returning to him, while wondering what sort of force he was going to have to impliment to subdue the person at his side.
Green Lantern: "oh you have got to be kidding me.." he muttered, raising his ring up and creating a large, brick wall construct that streached from wall to wall and shot forward to push those charging in front of him back. At the same time, Hal hovered up into the air and flew backwards towards the unconscious bodies of Dinah and Flash, forming a bubble construct around them so that they would be shielded from any more attacks. Well, now it made sense why Waller wanted them here and things had just gone to call to hell faster than anything he'd dealt with over the past week. Looking around for Wonder Woman, he rounded and his eyes widened a bit in shock, "Princess!"
Wonder Woman: The little jesters would try to bite her ankles, but they were protected by the thick leather of her boots. When Dinah came to, Diana's eyes caught the movement with a smirk, looking to the Lantern. She wondered if his aura would be protective of sound. Certainly if he could create constructs that could protect mortals from the cold deadness of space he could protect a pair of mortal ear drums, and a pair of immortal ones, from the sonic screech of the Black Canary? "Any ideas? It doesn't seem breaking them is very effective," she said, shaking her leg clean of some of the smaller jesters. She rose into the air, dropping behind the construct after freeing her legs from the little Jesters. It was then she decided to voice her idea, as it didn't seem that they were coming from other options. "Can your constructs protect us from the concussive force of Canary's call?"
Deathstroke: The Large man swung his hammer towards Batman trying to cave in his rib cage with a single swing. He was large and muscular swinging the giant hammer with ease. The Man standing infront of Jonn smirked and he didn’t look like much of a threat to the martian, no he looked to be mid 40’s with long gray hair, Dressed in a black suit and walking with a cane. “The Jesters will take care of the ones in the House of Mirrors. My Freak show will take care of The Bat and the assassin, and you, You get my company…as unpleasant as it may be…You see This is my carnival…my own little reality… and I control everything here. The second you entered I knew you were here..and this” He pulled up a ticket with a strange word burned into it.” Is something special indeed. You don’t see the magic type so this word won’t mean anything to you, but lad it’s the most important thing you have. So Tell me what do you want most in the entire universe?” Slade punched the snake in the face sending it back into It’s
Deathstroke: into It’s cage and rushed to aide Batman. Throwing one of the darts into the back of the large hammer wielding man. Right between his shoulder blades in the spine. “ Batman, Find the missing hostages, I’ll deal with this guy.” Slade drew his sword. and Rushed towards the large man. – In the House of Mirrors, The Jesters biting Diana’s boots were climbing up hire, and biting the leather which would normally have the effect of draining the colors but Diana’s mystical heritage didn’t allow for this. They tried to climb higher The larger ones were blocked by lanterns wall and tried to drain the power from the wall but again weren’t able to.
Batman watched the hammer swing towards him and instinctively leapt into the air with a capoeira maneuver of flipping to the side. He watched Deathstroke arrive and speak, causing Batman to quickly look around for someone who looked like a hostage. He pulled out a batarang and threw it at the wall causing a red light to flash with an electronic squeak releasing from it before Batman ventured deeper into the area, his cape draped around his body as his eyes narrowed on the path in front of him, he saw various performers continuing to prepare themselves, slipping between crates and boxes that provided plenty of shadow for the Dark Knight. Batman would come to spot The Detective and the owner, and would listen to the man speaking to the Detective -- who was currently not his alter ego. Batman waited for a moment before looking around for another direction to take.
Black Canary: Dinah noticed the construct suddenly wrap over her and barry and nearly kicked it. She recovered and kept in a denfensive position. She nodded at the Lantern, a silent thanks for the break. Her head was still pounding form that blow earlier. She smirked seeing the glance from Diana, and her idea. She gave a look at the jesters who were touching the cage, this bird found herself in. "There's at least one more song left in me, I could sweep them with everything I got." She just hoped the building could withstand such a force.
Jonn: Stared at the man as he laid it down on the line and spoke of how he pulled out a ticket. How he beleived that this was his own personal little reality. And then how he pulled out a ticket and asked him what he wanted most in the universe, and actually cracked a small grin that did not reach his eyes. "What I want is what you cannot provide. And you and what you beleive cannot make me think otherwise." He stated simply as he tilted his head to the side, taking note of the situation that had developed. There were peoples lives on the line and he was chatting with their leader. And thus he grabbed the tent pole and snapped it at the base, ripping it away from the tent before he spun it from the bottom up, looking to clip the persons skull right in the mouth with the powerful swing, not knowing that the batman was there.
Barry Allen: The Tent begins to fall around them
Green Lantern: As Diana freed herself from the attacking little things, a tube shot up towards the Amazon and then wrapped around her to protect her from any more of the jesters, the top shutting itself with a lid, while also giving her a path down to where he stood with Dinah and Barry lay. Her request about the strength of his fields came a bit unexpectedly. "Well... yeah.. It's not that much of an issue but I..." Looking around and seeing the numbers trying to break into his field and get at them, he sighed and then shook his head. *Well.. they come from the mirror shards but maybe if we break them into small enough pieces....* Shrugging, he closed off the bubble beneath their feet, and body, and hovered them back towards in corner of the room. Then, he formed megaphone construct on the side of the bubble that was aimed out, "Just... step up and do your thing. It's closed off by a thin energy field to keep them from getting in through it."
Wonder Woman: The world took on a hue of green, different than from the "rose coloured glasses," that the saying was, but never the less it was a comforting glow. She floated her way next to Lantern, physically tensing in preparation of Canary's sonic blast. The siren had dealt a damaging blow in the past, but never directly to the Amazon, and never had she been this close to the real thing. Her understanding was that it was directional, however, and that by being behind the blast she and Jordan would be saved from the worst of it. "Maybe... Cover your ears," she said dryly, hovering at his shoulder. "I don't know if it would help, but you might feel better about this?"
Green Lantern: As Hal watched the the jesters gathering out in front of them, he took in the whole scenario. <Something doesn't feel right... My gut it's... > His eyes narrowed at everything and then he quickly shouted out, "WAIT!" while at the same moment, the megaphone disappeared from view and he looked between the two women, "Look something's just... something is telling me that this is a bad idea." The Lantern looked back at everything before him and tried to piece together an idea. <Alright they come from the mirrors... the smaller the shard the smaller the jester. Gotta stop 'em but...> "I'm going to make you two a bubble to run out of here. I've got a plan."
Wonder Woman: Diana could feel the vibration of Canary's cry even beyond the Lantern's construct. It vibrated deep within her core, even within her bones. She hesitated for a moment, but eventually had to give in, pressing her palms to her ears, even narrowing her eyes for a moment. There was no way that anything living could have survived that kind of onslaught, even behind the barrier and with her super human physiology Diana was feeling a little queasy. Her eyes canted to the side, checking on Dinah. Lantern's words were too late, but at least with the megaphone and the barrier the way it was, they were not poorly effected by the cry. She nodded, dropping her hands to catch Dinah before she fainted. "I'll get her out of here and be back," she said, estimating she could get Canary to the flower shop in under five minutes. "Are you sure you can hold them?" she asked, not questioning his skill, strength or ability, but rather being unwilling to leave her comrade when they in the midst of battle, -c-
Wonder Woman: but knowing Dinah needed to be taken to a safe place. "I will not be long," she said, readying herself to exit through Lantern's "bubble." -e-
Barry Allen: The man with the cane was struck with the tent pole, his head jerked to the side. Revealing red eyes as his tent began to fall on top of Slade and Batman. He glanced to the Martian waving his hand and causing the Martian to vanish back to Mars. “ Should keep him busy.” He smirked and he Focused his mystical power on The tent attempting to fix it with his magical power.”Hmm. “ He glanced towards Batman’s Location and he said” You should have stayed home…”
The Dark Knight heard everything that was spoken to the Martian Manhunter and narrowed his eyes upon the red eyes, his body tensed and prepared for a fight until he stepped out of the shadows and stood before the man relatively harmless. “I don’t understand…Why the kidnappings? What is going on here that people are committing suicide? Why capture Deathstroke rather than kill him?” Batman had a guess as to why they were being left alive, but there were still too many unanswered questions as to what was going on and not for a second did he forget that someone’s daughter was in distress, but neither would he forget that Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Flash, and Green Lantern needed him by their side and here he was conversing with the key conspirator of this whole elaborate plan.
Deathstroke: Continued to move through the tent, rather than remain where he was, he was in a hurry. The Tent had fallen at the back part and was now standing again. He didn’t care why Slade removed the staff from his back, striking one of the clowns in the face with it then pushing the right half of it into the chest of another using this as leverage to launch himself into the air kicking the face of another. Using his momentum the clown falling backwards Slade kept his foot the as the man’s body fell, and Slade kicked off of his head crashing through this part of the tent into another. Rolling as he hit the ground Scanning the room with his good eye, There he saw them a bunch of kids in a cage. Sliding his knife into the pad lock and slicing through the metal opening the lock, he looked at the kids.” Alright Kid’s your Free to go, Get out of the carnival, and wait. Slade recognized the girl he was sent after picking her up he slashed through the tent. To make an escape route for them.” Keep your
Deathstroke: Keep your heads down until this is over.” ---Canary’s Scream rattled the mirrors, the Jesters laughed manicly at her attempts as all of the glass shattered around them…As the pieces shattered smaller the jesters began to shrink and multiply equaling the size of the glass shards from each mirror. Some were even microscopic. The began to swarm the bubble trying to absorb the color and emotions.
Green Lantern: "Ah crap..." he muttered as the mirrors shattered about them from Canary's cry. "Look. Just get Canary and Flash out of here. Then find Batman. Don't worry about me." With that, he waited for the Amazon to ready herself with the two while the bubble construct split itself into two. "Go!' Lantern called, raising his right hand up into the air as a thin beam shot out through the roof and them splintered into a wave of energy that curved downward and, hopefully after Diana had reached the exit and made it through, drive through the ground before scooping under the foundation of the building before meeting itself. <Think Hal... What's the best way to take these things out at once without causing too.. much..> Then it hit him and Green Lantern began to fly up into the air, with the field bringing the Mirror House with him.
Wonder Woman: She nodded, the worried expression on her face remained, but she wouldn't argue. It would do no use. She knew that a Lantern was given his or her ring based on their will. With Dinah and Barry balanced, one in either arm. No use in bringing Dinah to the shop, instead she brought them to the Embassy, leaving them in the capable hands of an Amazon on duty. Returning, she scanned the park for Batman. The flash of the tent coming down caught her eye and she figured that would be as good a place as any to pick up.
Barry Allen: The man smiled looking to Batman.” To spread Chaos.” He glanced to Batman and he shook his head” I wouldn’t expect an insect like you to understand. “This plane requires Balance. But Balance is Order, It maintains the cosmic scale..It’s so boring.. I am going to shift the cosmic scale to our favor.. To much order Leads to Chaos..” He smirked not noticing the lantern fly away. I am going to burn everyone here just to do it. The Kids are food for my Jesters, The Suicides were so that I could claim the souls of those who died… and Deathstroke… His presence breeds Chaos, As does yours…You are both perfect Agents.”
Staring at the man, Batman recollected his thoughts regarding Fate’s explanations in the past, reasons that were “bullshit” to Batman. Doctor Fate has the abilities to stop massive amounts of people from dying and yet he chose to allow life to continue in its own existence of chaos. He called it order and explained that order must be maintained; the Dark Knight considered the man’s words here and now and then shook his head. “No. I won’t be a part of this. Get out of my city or you will regret ever having met me.” Batman turned and stepped through a tent doorway and walked out towards the crowds of people, keeping himself pacified and hardly a threat to anyone.
Deathstroke: Slade Leads the children out of the Carnival. Fighting off everything that came his way. Clowns and Freaks all the way to the Entrance. He pushed one of the clowns into the ticket booth near the front. He needed to Signal Batman that the kids were free. He pull his staff out striking the clown once more and firing an energy blast from his staff towards the sky. This should be high enough so that Batman could see it.
Doctor Fate: The Green Lantern had flown through a Barrier, as Did Wonder Woman, this Tiny window in the carnival was enough for Fate to sense this. He reached for his helmet and placed it on his head vanishing in the Golden Light and appearing in the Carnival high above the grounds.a wave of his hand and all of the innocent civilians were banished back to their homes. "Agent of Chaos, You do not belong here!" Eldritch Blasts came from his hands Casting the servants' of the Agent's atoms into oblivion.
Green Lantern: Higher and higher he flew into the air, focusing his Willpower into his Power Ring to strengthen the barrier that held the Grey Jesters. Two thousand feet into the air, Hal left the floor and phased himself through the roof of the Mirror House while continuing higher until he was nothing but a bright green glow to anyone looking up at him and then, not long after, not even that. His aura protected him and the construct barrie the building as he took it through the atmosphere and out into space. <Ring. Calculate proper angle towards the sun.> Adjust five degrees to the left...3...2...1. There. Smirking, the Lantern stopped and hauled the building in front of hi, a large RPG launcher forming around the house while a pair of giant green construct hands took hold of it. "Houston... We have... Launch" and the hand on the trigger squeeze it and the Mirror House was launched on a perfect course for the sun.
Wonder Woman: Diana spotted Batman out in the open, aside from the Her boots settled down behind Batman to the left, but as she were to speak, her attention was drawn upwards. Certainly the instantaneous lack of civilians was a simple sign something was going on. An arch of green light shot into the sky; at least it seemed like Lantern had solved that problem well enough.
Batman spotted Slade’s signal in the sky followed by the light of Green Energy in the distance. There was a lot going on and so much that Batman didn’t know what was going on but, he concluded that Wonder Woman’s arrival must’ve been a good thing. “I suppose everything is handled?” Batman had noticed the Civilians were teleported and didn’t waste time trying to tell Wonder Woman to follow him as he continued walking towards the exit of the carnival. “Canary and the others are safe?”
Deathstroke: Slade contacted the police o let them know the children had been located and where to find them, Doctor Fate looked towards Batman, and the Agent of Chaos." Batman Wonder Woman, sorry I am late. " He turned to Keeper and he said" Everything will return to normal once He is Defeated. " Keeper smiled and he said" Fate, I was wondering when you would come, I do so enjoy these battle." Fate waved his hand returning the Martian Manhunter. Walking forward his fists began to glow with eldritch enegy. Keeper stepped forward energy building from his cane into his hands. " Keeping them around Fate? Doesn't seem wise..for the Host of Nabu."
Jonn: Felt himself returned to the barren wasteland that was Mars. It was a tomb on a planetary level. It was sombering to be there again, and the ghosts that came from his past had not let up their pestering. Standing there, amongst remnants of a once peaceful people was... difficult. And in a sudden glow of a cross, he was returned to Earth. Those dark eyes of his protected alias focused once more, regarding those around him while another spoke. The post in hand, he kicked it up once again, however in stead of attempting to swat him with it, it was swung over his shoulder, and then he threw it, heaving a phenominal force behind it as it sailed through the air.
Wonder Woman: "I should think so," she said, her eyes turning back to Batman, no longer cast at the dark skies as the green light disappeared. "Yes, they might find themselves a little out of their elements, but they will be safe until they wake," she nodded, forcing him to trust her by not revealing where she put them. "Flash and Canary, at least. I do not quite know what happened to the carnival goers," she admitted, turning her head around, the empty spaces once filled with revellers and flashing lights seemed oddly quiet. While she was moderately jovial with Batman, her expression would harden as Deathstroke returned, her lips forming a silent line.
Batman’s attention turned to regard Wonder Woman and recognize her with a nod confirming her words. His attention would change with her to look at Doctor Fate (not Deathstroke) and the leader of the group of Carnival henchmen. Batman paid attention to Doctor Fate and the Keeper as they exchanged words, Batman glancing at Wonder Woman and spoke calmly. “He might need our help. Don’t let down your guard.” Batman’s fists tightened and he settled his eyes upon the Keeper, a strange older looking man with red eyes energized within his face. With the Return of the Martian Manhunter, Batman still wasn’t confident that the Justice League’s combine strength along with Doctor Fate and the Martian, would they be able to bring down such a chaotic man.
Deathstroke: Fate’s Aura began to glow brighter as he blasted towards Keeper Who simply batted the blast away with his cane.” Fate how many times must we have this dance hmm?” Fate glared down at him projecting his thoughts to the others.” This man is an Agent of Chaos. He like I has an item that grants him his power, His cane houses a Lord of Chaos. Batman, you are needed for this, I cannot touch his cane just as he cannot wear my helmet.” Fate Blasted again this time using both hands in a concentraitated blast. Keeper began to spin his cane around blocking the attack.” Hopeless Fate. Completely Hopeless.” Fate continued." Princess, You and this one must hold him long enough for Batman to take the cane..and Batman...Whatever IT promises do not succumb to the temptations, It will lie, and you will be the next to fall prey."
Deathstroke: The tent post stabbed through the man's shoulder, and he didn't seem to notice it.
Green Lantern: With that taken care of, Green Lantern brushed his hands together and turned back around to face the Earth. <Funny... ever since we all got together the threats to the planet have been getting bigger... Worse... > Shrugging his shoulders, Hal started back towards the carnival, leaving a behind a green trail in his wake.
Wonder Woman: Diana nodded, a simple request and a simple enough task to perform. Her hand moved to the Lasso at her hip, her thumb moving over the smoothness of the enchanted tool, releasing it from her hip and stretching it from her right to her left hand. Deft fingers fashioned a slip and with a well practiced maneuver the golden chord seemed to leap from her hand, darting towards the Keeper to hold her tight, even as her form moved forward to catch the host should it move.
Jonn: Turned his head to regard the Keeper and the one called Fate. Now that was interesting. It seemed as though the two had some sort of history between the two, but questions could come at a later time. It seemed as though it was important to keep the man away from the walking cane in his hand. A focal point for his mystical arts perhaps? In any event, He watched the Warrior Princess move forwards towards her target. When he was certain that the lady and her comrade had moved forwards, his form became transluceant and then he disappeared within the earth itself. Shifting through the elements he hoped to catch his target unawares as he came up out of the earth behind the man, using everything that was going on as a distraction, as he pulled his fist back and struck at the upper part of the man's back
Batman charged towards the Keeper hurling smoke pellets before quickly raising his batclaw to fire and latch onto the cane. A hookshot would release and glide towards the cane on an anticipated swing, grasping towards the intersection of his grip and the cane itself. If he was successfully, Batman would yank the cane away. Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and Dr. Fate were doing their best to distract him. The claw would bring the weapon to Batman allowing him to grip it and keep it with him for the time being. Batman knew that this Cane was bad news and that when a mortal typically wielded such mystical items it was best to protect themselves with enchantments, but in desire situations such as this there was no time to prepare and one must be willing to make a sacrifice for the rest to survive. Trust in his team mates was the paramount goal that he had to hold, trust that their combine effort could succeed.
Deathstroke: "Be careful. The human form is fragile, You could kill his host without trying to any damage you cause will be reflected on the host, his host is possibly an innocent victim" He stated as the Martian punched the man in the back.As the Cane was stripped away from the man, he instantly passed out. Fate walked towards the man, healing his wounds and making him disappear back to his home. Fate Glanced towards Batman and he said" The Cane needs to be taken somewhere, Safe." Fate placed a protections spell over Batman in that moment so he could not hear the whispers from the Cane. " We will take it to my tower. "
Green Lantern: The Lantern landed back at the Carninval not too long after he had left, but long enough that the fight was over by the time he had returned. It'd taken him longer than he had meant to fly out to the best place to fire a building out into the sun, but Hal had wanted to be sure it wouldn't end up landing on Mars or Venus or something instead of the sun as it traveled the distance. Hovering a few feet above the remnants of the place, he used his ring to locate the others before hovering down beside Fate. "Well noooow you show up after we spend the time dealing with the hard stuff. Isn't all this supposed to be your expertise to begin with?" Fate maaay have not deserved such a greeting, but this... this has gotten Barry hurt and to have seen his best friend literally having the color sucked from him by some creepy, Dawn of the Dead like clown thing had rubbed him the wrong way.
Jonn: Looked towards Fate as he held the cane in some sort of caintainment measure of his own design. Raising an eyebrow to the chiding, he put his hand into his pockets, turning his head to look down towards the unconcious man, he tilted his head to the side. What was he to do? He was going to have to think about the matter. What was he going to do with that man? Granted technically, the man was under some one elses control, but he physically pulled off the deeds. Ah, a morality issue. However the solution came to him, and he put his hands behind his back, staring at them.
Jonn: Looked towards Batman as he held the cane, and wondered how something of such a symplistic nature could have caused such a rukus. And then he regarded Fate Raising an eyebrow to the chiding, he put his hand into his pockets, turning his head to look down towards the unconcious man, he tilted his head to the side. What was he to do? He was going to have to think about the matter. What was he going to do with that man? Granted technically, the man was under some one elses control, but he physically pulled off the deeds. Ah, a morality issue. However the solution came to him, and he put his hands behind his back, and turned to regard those gathered once more.
Doctor Fate: " I apologize for my lateness Lantern, but It was you that allowed me a glimps of what was happening here, When you flew towards the sun you shattered a barrier that had been placed to keep me temperarily blinded. " He looked towards Batman." We have much to discuss Batman. Please come with me." He nodded to J'onn." Detective..I will be speaking with you on a later date.
