Basic Information
Player Nickname: Ollie.
Do you want other role players to give you feed back? Constructive criticism's always welcome.
Which DCU Earth are you applying to?: Earth-4.
Character Origin: Biggest inspiration is coming from the New 52 canon, combing in a bit of Smallville and Arrow alongside subtle nods to the pre-boot.
Face Claim's Name: (?)
Name: Oliver Jonas "Ollie" Queen.
Alias: The Green Arrow.
Race: Human.
Age: 26.
Birthday: December 17.
Alignment: Chaotic Good.
Height: 6'3".
Weight: 195 lbs.
Hair: Blond.
Eyes: Brown.
Physique: Lithe; sinewy and athletic. His frame is rather tall, but agile enough to allow him his acrobatic prowess.
Training: Archery (expanse into Kyudo), hand-to-hand combat (brawls and introduction to Jeet Kune Do), aviation, hunting, cooking, survival, technological understanding, corporate politics, legislative politics (from a Liberal point-of-view), acrobatics.
Equipment: As a civilian he possesses several credit cards, travelers wallet (kept in his hip pocket), cash (usually in low amounts), Q-Phone, and a bluetooth headset (that doubles as its own internal communications device for when his team needs to reach him). As the Green Arrow his equipment is a bit more focused: a personally designed costume, sleeveless, that sports matching gauntlets and a guard padded into his right wrist and inner forearm support (the costume also features Nomex and Kevlar interwoven into more sensitive points of his body including his chest, abdomen, and thighs). Its attached hood also has Kevlar padding at the crown that leads to the back of his neck. A pair of boots, heels reinforced for instep, and knee pads that fit beneath his pants, are also useful. The Green Arrow keeps an eclectic collection of bows (ranging from custom recurves, longbows, and compound bows) plus a heavy selection of fitted sights and different arrow shafts, and a variety of tips. Trick arrows (including EMP, explosive, gas, or even bola, tips are constantly being created). To carry this selection he had a specialized quiver made that, at times, rides a little tight on his chest, but the internal cushioning keeps each tip cradled without the possibility of triggering their specialized means.
Powers / Abilities
Archery - Oliver Queen began at a young age, around that of eight (thanks to his father, Robert), but gave up his training shortly after. However, his time on the island forced him to pick up a bow and arrow once again in order to survive, thus cultivating the natural proficiency that he otherwise had abandoned. After using it to hunt - and missing several shots - he started to train himself once more to further advance his skill. Now, after several years since studying under various tutelage, Oliver is considered the best archer in the known world. He can fire up to twenty-nine arrows per minute and three arrows at one time, never failing a shot in the process. Even if in mid-air, his equilibrium inverted due to a somersault or any other acrobatic feat, Oliver has been able to hit an arrow directly into the barrel of an adversary's gun from across a rooftop.
Hand-to-hand - While not often caught in close quarters range, Oliver has been known to throw a punch or three. This innate talent, should you call it that, comes from his party years: hit on enough otherwise taken women and, sooner or later, one man is going to speak his mind. Often through his fist. Due to this, Ollie is a bit more durable than most (at least lacking a glass jaw) and can dish out punishment in kind. Since he started his career as a modern day Robin Hood (according to most newspaper rags) he's learned that he'll need more under his belt than the ability to swing a fist blindly, making him reach out to other means of combat. His first foray since has been Jeet Kune Do, the infamous 'style without style,' founded by Bruce Lee in the sixties. Ollie found it an efficient place to start due to its philosophy, first brought to his attention after research into Kyudo (way of the arrow) and reading the Zen of Archery. He currently has practiced this in both training and actual combat for slightly less than two years.
Aviation - When one has too much money on their hands they tend to blow it in several fashionable ways. One of Oliver's biggest forays, and even bigger methods to flushing currency down the toilet, was learning how to fly. He began in helicopters and spent several months in attempting to master that craft, quickly moving his way back to any and all inventions that were meant to fly, until he'd learned them all. At least, all available to him. By the end of his little jaunt, Ollie picked up the ability to fly most standard helicopters, airplanes, and even built his own aircraft that he later used in his travels as the Green Arrow. Ever since acquiring his pilot's licenses Ollie purchased a nondescript private hangar at a nearby airstrip under his mother's maiden name in case he ever needs to hop in a plane at a moment's notice and not alert anyone.
The Hunt - Ever since his time spent on the island, Oliver learned to adapt. What begun as survival eventually blossomed into a skill that most could only hope to achieve. The treacherous wildlife and other dangerous ‘game’ that he faced during his tenure abroad taught him how to properly hunt, and track, prey. At one point he survived a cougar by stalking behind it for more than a day and going unnoticed the entire time. He is an expert in the matter of hunting, of tracking, considered one of the best in existence.
Cooking - Hardly a premiere chef, Oliver did learn to fend for himself on the island. There he used captured game and other wildlife to create some kind of sustenance that wouldn't make him gag. Since then he’s continued to cultivate this skill and create other unnatural abominations inside the kitchen. Ollie’s most infamous entree is a chili that, when consumed, could make a Superman beg for water.
Survival - Playing further off the two above skills, Oliver has become a practiced survivalist. He can fend for himself in the harshest conditions and doesn’t think twice about marching off into the wilderness with absolutely nothing to simply continue honing that talent. He honestly prefers not to, but knowing how to make something out of nothing can be useful. Especially on stakeouts that, inadvertently, leave him moaning and groaning about the fact that he forgot to pack lunch.
Technological Understanding - Q-Core, the subsidiary that Oliver currently heads, is the leading conglomerate in electronics (think Apple, as that best describes it). Due to this, Ollie has done his best to delve headfirst into its development and better comprehend how to further advance their profit margin by expanding into the public eye. Their greatest invention is the Q-Pad (a tablet that acts similar to the iPad) and the Q-Phone (this one seems obvious). All that he learns he further broadens into his crime-fighting career by shaping available technology to manufacture new trick arrow heads and the like.
Corporate (and Legislative) Politics - Ever since his return, Ollie’s newly founded maturity has led him to take an interest in things such as treading more carefully through the corporate world. He has been learning how to properly placate investors and those that idly sit on the board, when to pull punches and when to really throw them. Because of this, since Ollie has taken a seat at his father’s company, he has really started to blossom even if he rarely shows it beyond his personal staff. Also, since witnessing how those in his particular peer group treat those they perceive as below them, there has also been interest in expanding into more philanthropic ventures. One of his first investments, the Queen Foundation, offers scholarships to those less fortunate through means of various cross-referencing such as intelligence, test scores, home life, and one’s family’s incomes. A bit more silent, but still used functionally, is his means to assisting the homeless through the purchase and renovation of several key office buildings that have remained on the lease market for longer than one full year. Neither have been considered fiscally responsible by his board, but Queen made sacrifices by offering more feasible and profitable margins on expansions to Q-Core’s latest technological advancements.
Acrobatics - To better navigate the concrete jungle, and the actual jungle, Ollie has mastered the art and agility necessary to perform athletic feats such as somersaults and flips. He often uses this in conjunction with his loose combat style and, more regularly, his archery to not only evade enemy fire but breach distances not easily reached. As earlier stated, he has honed both his archery and his acrobatics to the point that he’s able to readily fire an arrow in mid-air and put it directly into the barrel of an enemy’s gun.

Weaknesses
Arrogance - Though founded in most cases Oliver’s sheer brazen attitude has gotten him in predicaments that he could otherwise steer clear of. Oftentimes it will lead him into fights with enemies, in bars, and with those above and under him inside Queen Industries. It’s something that most people cannot tolerate but, in truth, he perceives it solely as a justified confidence. Doesn’t mean it hasn’t gotten his nose broken once or twice.
Vigilantism - As the Green Arrow, Oliver spends his nights (and sometimes days) fighting crime at a street level. Due to this, his personal life often suffers. He has been known to brush off business meetings, chair meetings, alongside those that remain close to him such as his sister. Because of this chosen path, he often has to fabricate lies that would otherwise make him seem like the feeble-minded playboy that he once had been.
Flirtatious - A pretty smile is one of Ollie’s biggest weaknesses. One smile, one wink, the girl only needs to be coquettish enough and she has his attention riveted. It’s gotten him pulled into schemes that he could have otherwise avoided, gotten him mugged, and on a few occasions nearly got him killed by drug runners on a previously unnamed island. Suffice to say, his loins do far more thinking for him than his brains if there’s a blonde in the room. Or a brunette. A redhead. Well, he isn’t discriminatory.
Close Quarters - He has been trying to remedy the issue pertaining to this but, still, if he’s closed in tight quarters by more than three enemies at a time then Ollie can easily be overcome. Due to this, he tries to stick to a distance game.
Brash - Fear can often be a man’s worst enemy but, in Ollie’s case it might be only the catalyst. In fight-or-flight situations Ollie tends to leap in headfirst and not bother to consider the repercussions. This is due to the fact that should he consider a situation fear might overcome him, so he bluffs, blusters, and shows the most bravado that he can to hide that. It isn’t always the case but, let’s face it, if you stare down a gang of thugs armed to the teeth with semi-automatic firearms and all you have is a bow and arrow... you might be a little scared too. He accepts that fear is a necessity to his chosen profession and instead uses it to to anger and pester his best of friends and worst of enemies in the thick of combat. Lord knows if he keeps it up, it might be a pal knocking his lights out instead.
Humanity - Ollie’s second biggest weakness
