Powers / Abilities
A Green Lantern’s Power Ring, arguably the most powerful weapon in the universe, possesses a wide range of capabilities by harnessing the wielder’s willpower. The most known are the ability to fly, fire powerful blasts of energy, create force fields, and form constructs made of hard-light energy of anything the Lantern can imagine. It also serves as a Universal Translator, sending a spoken language into the mind of the Lantern in a language they know and vice versa./strong Some of the lesser known capabilities are phasing, invisibility, mind probing, and electromagnetic spectrum manipulation. In the hands of an experienced and skilled user there is almost nothing that the ring is not capable of accomplishing as long as the Lantern has the willpower to accomplish it.
Weaknesses

Fear - Fear is the worst enemy of a Green Lantern. Although chosen because they can overcome great fear, should a Lantern allow it to infect their mind they will start to weaken and as they succumb to it loose the ability to wield the Ring entirely.
Human - Although the Ring grants him amazing abilities, drawn from his unmatched willpower, that allow him to stand up nearly anything that can be thrown at him, Hal remains a normal human and without access to his Ring he is subject to every vulnerability that comes with that.

Year 1 (2013)

-Sinestro and Hal track down Atrocitus and imprison him
-Sinestro begins training Hal further

-Sinestro returns with yellow ring.
-Star Sapphire gem takes over Carol Ferris.
-Hal meets Flash (Barry Allen)
Year 3 - present

Hal lifted his head up, fighting to keep his eyes open. He was tired, his ring was warning him that he needed to retreat immediately but he couldn't. Something told him to look around and surrounding himself and Brainiac were people... just a bunch of people... They couldn't fight this back. They couldn't make a stand against something that was managing to hurl him around like a toy. "You know Brainiac... ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D5H-VBLNd4 ) I'm not like the rest of the heroes here...." It hurt to speak and his mind was exhausted, but... slowly... Hal started to push himself up, without using his ring, "I'm not the best of 'em. I've made mistakes... I'm not the hero these people even need right now..."
Finally reaching his full height, the Lantern spread his feet out to maintain his ground, "But I'll... be damned if I don't go down trying to keep them alive..." His Power Ring glowed brightly and filling the street around them, a field of energy appeared in the air, blocking all of the innocent people from what he was about to do. "And as along as I've got a breath in my body... I'll be here." The next instant, a bright green field of energy formed just around his body, solidifying into a clear, titanium barrier, "And you.. and any of the other bastards out there like you.. will have to go through me if you want to destroy this planet or.. " his ribs throbbed in pain, "Or any other..." He continued to pour his Willpower into his ring, increasing the strength behind both the barrier and the field, "life." <Ring... deactivate all safety protocols.> Lantern, this is highly, <DEACTIVATE> Confirmed. "In Brightest Day..." The light from his constructs started to increase, the thoughts in Hal's mind now focused on this very moment, in strengthening these shields to hold Brainiac, manifested as swirls of energy emitted from the present constructs, "In Blackest Night..." Arcs of green energy ripped back and forth between the barriers, "No Evil shall escape my sight..." Hal forced himself to forget the pain.
<Don't think about it. Black out your head, Jordan. Gotta stop this bastard.> "Let those who worship Evil's might!" The words were shouted, the fingers of his right hand clenching into a tight fist as the arcs increased in intensity and filled the entirety of the space between the barriers. "Beware my power!" A beam of energy erupted from Hal's ring that seemed to merge with the barrier just around his body and then appear on the otherside, the end forming into a sphere of swirling energy. The green light would be almost blinding to any human being that watched as Green Lantern continued to pour his willpower into this attack, "Green Lantern's Light!!!" And then the sphere erupted out, the ensuing explosion filling the area between the two barriers and hiding both of those trapped behind the outter one from sight.
