Basic Information
Player Nickname: Harley
Profile URL: Harlequin
Do you want other role players to give you feed back?: Yes, please.
Which DCU Earth are you applying to?: Earth-Four
Character Origin: Teen Titans Comics
Face Claim's Name: Iris Afasia
Name: Rachel Roth
Alias: Raven
Race: Half human, half demon
Age: 17 (Adjustable)
Birthday: n/a
Alignment: Chaotic good
Height: 165cm
Weight: 50kg
Hair: Black
Eyes: Purple
Physique: Bearing a rather slim frame, Raven’s usual attire is then allowed to drape over her body, symbolizing the shape of a raven bird. Evening out the small frame, she possesses noticeable curves, without having drawn too much attention to them.
Appearance: Out of costume, Rachel Roth appears as a moderately normal girl; wavy black hair that would fall upon her shoulders, skin with a slight olive tan, full lips, and would wear average clothes as any young woman or late teenager would. Though, when she’s depicted as Raven, she foreshadows her face with a pointed hood; shaped as if it were a raven’s beak, allowing her eyes to stand out. Always wearing a cape, she would let it hang down behind her, often past her feet when in the air. Although not designated to a single colour, she prefers to stick with her symbol, keeping them dark shades of blue, purple, and in some cases black. When the costume is on, she becomes a raven; high in the air, cape sprawled out behind her as the bird’s wings would.
Personality: Many would depict Raven as a girl with many secrets. Being the daughter of Trigon, an all-powerful demon subsiding in the dimension of Azarath, she finds herself often hiding her problems from others, and supressing the emotions that come with it; there being no choice to choose otherwise. The girl spends large quantities of her free time meditating, and being on her lonesome, focusing on keeping herself in control of her emotions. If she were to ever give way to anger, then it would mean allowing her father to win; destroying the earth around her, hurting those in which she cares for, and overall completely losing herself. As much of a burden as it is, she fully dedicates herself to remaining in control, and uses her dark powers for the light of day; as much as it may be bothersome to look upon.
Equipment
• Raven suit: Though not having a particular use, Raven’s outfit is what defines her as the raven bird in which she’s modelling her persona after. Though changing between outfits, her suit’s shape will always consist of a pointed hood and cape, resembling that of a raven’s beak and feathers. Her main colours are in the darker shades, often seen in purples and blues.
• Chakra: Raven bears this on the center of her forehead; appearing as a small red diamond gem. The chakra assists her in containing her soul-self’s darker side.
Powers / Abilities
Flight – Implied by its name, Raven has the abilities to fly by will; often used during combat and is her prime way of travelling. This ability came to her after being re-born into her new body.
Soul-Self – Manifesting outside of her own body, Raven emits a projection of another figure; often resembling that of herself, or the raven bird. Raven’s soul-self can be manipulated in other ways, aswell.
Telekinesis – With the use of her mind, Raven can therefore move objects around her; including above the limits her own physical strength.
Advanced Telekinesis – Raven’s preferred way of using her telekinetic power, is by merging her soul-self with another object, removing it from where it had originally been. This version is stronger, and allows her to shift objects even as large as buildings.
Telekinetic Constructs – These are other forms of her soul-self manifesting. Her constructs often consist of barriers and projectiles, though not limited.
Empathy – Classified as a psionic ability, Raven can feel what another is feeling; allowing herself to soak up their emotions.
Empathic Healing – Using the power of empathy, she can relieve pain of another’s minor injuries, as if it were an emotion.
Emotion Negation – As it’s possible to feel other emotions, they can also be taken away; rendering the subject without feeling.
Astral Projection – Allowing herself to delve into the minds of others, Raven’s soul-self can project her own consciousness into them; mostly used for the calming of her allies, or render an enemy unconscious. Calming herself with this is also possible.
Teleportation – Through either long or short distances, and even through different dimensions, she is able to use her soul-self for instant travel.
Weaknesses
Emotional Instability - Raven’s emotions are her biggest weakness, as she struggles to take control of her own powers when allowing herself to feel negative emotions, the largest one being anger. This renders her acting with less expression, as letting go could lead to her own downfall. When having rage consume her, Raven’s demonic side takes over, her eyes doubling in red.
