Equipment: None regularly used, has come into contact with several powerful artefacts however and built devices to add in certain schemes.
Powers / Abilities

Superhuman feats: Darkseid is shown to have strength, speed and endurance way higher than the human race and even most high tier aliens. His strength has been displayed by once destroying a green lantern ring with his bare hands, while his speed is usually taken into account by his reaction timing, his endurance is high enough to withstand blows and blasts from Superman and get up without so much as a scratch on him, the full power of the green even was only able to knock him out. His stamina also allows him to fight for days on end without needing to rest.
Omega effect: Most of Darkseid's power comes from the omega effect, which allows him to perform such feats as break barriers and force-fields. The most used power it grants him however are the omega beams, a deadly projectile that can be fired from his eyes or on rare occasions his hands, at any direction he pleases. The beams are able to curve, twist or even track a target to perform a range of effects from stun to total disintegration. The omega beams are also able to teleport a target as far away as another universe.
Immortal: Darkseid is immune to the effects of age, illness and conventional death.
Regeneration: Darkseid has shown the ability to regenerate major wounds over the course of a short time.
Size control: Darkseid is able to change his size at will, becoming smaller and larger and extending this to other objects.
Matter control: Darkseid has mastery over the forces of life, able to reduce a being to atoms with a single thought as well as create life from nothing at all. This extends to avatars of himself. Darkseid is also able to evolve and devolve a creature using this same power. He is even able to destroy life at a molecular level with a mere thought.
Space and time: Darkseid is able to control time and space to the extent of moving himself wherever he wishes as well as travelling through time to his desired destination. He is even able to teleport between universes, so far as to being able to bring others with him.
Psychic powers: Darkseid is easily able to employ telekinesis to his advantage, moving objects with ease with little much as a gesture. He is also able to read minds and attack an individual with images from their subconscious, as well as control mass groups of people at once. Darkseid is also able to negate the powers of those he possesses.
Power bestowal: Darkseid is able to remove, bestow, enhance and unlock the powers of an individual.
Power mastery: Darkseid is able to use his full arsenal with ease, demonstrating his years of experience in the comfort of his god status by simply using his powers to their fullest extent. Unlike most villains or heroes that would take concentration or even time to build up, Darkseid is able to quickly use his powers and fight without stopping.
Abilities
Emotional control/Usage: Darkseid holds total control over his emotions, allowing him to clear his mind at the best of times. He also uses emotions as a weapon, particularly fear as his general appearance will install fear into the hearts of men.
Genius level intelligence: Darkseid due to his age, experience and leadership over Apokolips and it's armies has become a master strategist and a highly intelligent being. His battlefield knowledge has lead to his armies becoming almost unbeatable, save conflicts with New Genesis.
Soldier training: Darkseid is a highly trained warrior, demonstrating great prowess on the battlefield that is perhaps only let down by his vanity that stops him getting in regular combat experience.
Weaknesses

Vulnerability to Radion: Darkseid is weak against the element known as Raidon, though has shown to be able to survive it at the best of times. However, depending on the incarnation, Darkseid is also susceptible to death from the element.
Brute force: While most won't even inflict pain on Darkseid, those on par with Superman or Doomsday have been known to be able to injure him in combat.
Underestimation: Darkseid, though rarely, can become too confident in his own abilities and underestimate certain factors in a plan or a person.
Uncaring: Due to Darkseid's nature, he does not care for his own allies and will often put them in harms way, leading to potential betrayals.
Obsession: Darkseid often obsesses over his goals of death and destruction to make his utopia of order and control, this can lead to him becoming mad in his goals and short sighted at times.
Vanity: Due to his unwillingness to not fight just anyone, Darkseid can often full short due to spending years and years not fighting.
Legacy: Like all gods, someone must be there to worship them in order for them to still be gods. Though a ruthless tyrant, Darkseid is fiercely protective of his homeworld and the people that worship him. Anything else that makes him a god is also under the same rule and Darkseid will often bargin or be blinded when it comes to preserving his reign.

The ashen sky loomed over the Earth, the battle had been won and the planet was in the grip of a god. It's so called heroes and villains had banded in vain to stop the onslaught that Darkseid brought upon the Earth, but alas now all that remained was a scorched planet destined only for the darkness that oblivion held in it's wake. The ominous figure stood, tall in his victory as his crimson gaze took in the delicious sight. The perverse joy of bringing the wretched plains destruction was almost too perfect. But Darkseid had planned, he had awaited his chance to strike and he had made sure there weren't any obstructions to his goal. Even the son of Krypton couldn't stop him, his defeat the new flag for a nationless Earth as the red cape flew from the pole that it's wearer had been impaled upon. The red of the flag a dual weaving of fabric and blood.
Heavy footsteps thundered out over the ground, arms behind the giant's back as he viewed the bodies massed around him. No one could stop a god... Not even those with a sliver of life left in them. He could see it, the glimmering of the ring amidst rubble and debris, his eyes held no mercy as red sought out the green that came from the darkness. In Brightest Day In Blackest Night No evil Shall Escape my Sight. Let those who worship evil's Might Beware my Power Green Lantern's Light... That was the last power that faced him? He was the blackest night and the darkest day the Earth had ever seen. It was almost a game when his omega beams clashed with raw energy that was the hard light of the lantern. However, it would never be enough as last hope for mankind shattered and on went the beams of death that curved and twisted into the small hole the light had emerged and all that was heard was the final agonizing scream of a fallen hero as his light died forever. Yes, nobody could stop him.
The flagpole, he did approach, his steps quaking the Earth as if it trembled before it's new master. The sea of dismay that entrenched it all, the dismay that Darkseid had created. It brought a grin to his face, as bones crunched under his foot. The man... The mere human he had respected enough to allow to challenge him... The one dubbed Batman, he was nothing and now he desolated corpse was nothing under the crunching blow of Darkseid's weight as he reached up a hand to touch upon the face of his fallen foe. "I told you, Kal El. If you would not be my knight, then you would be my pawn... And you lead to the destruction of your people. I told you that I was many things, but all you needed to concern yourself with, was that I was a god and you a mere mortal." The cold and brutal words hummed out of existence, for nobody drew breath to hear them, only the pinnacle of evil that stood in the sullen blaze of his victory.

World War Apokolips
Heroes: JLA, teen-titans, any and all...etc.
Villains: Any that would have qualms with the destruction of Earth. Example; Joker, Lex Luthor, Etc..., Brainiac, Darkseid.
Plot: The time has come to grasp the anti life formula, the fragile of alliance between Darkseid and Brainiac has come together to invade Earth. Darkseid, his furies and the full force of his own armies and Brainiac's forces have invaded Earth with the intention of destroying the planet and assimilating it's knowledge. The two will stop at nothing to obtain their goals, as Darkseid's machine harvests the minds of the fallen and captured to get ever close to his goal.
The New war
Heroes: Superman, other key members of the justice league.
Villains:Darkseid.
Plot: The treaty is broken, New Genesis and Apokolips are at war once again. The man of steel would never serve Darkseid now would he? Darkseid has forced Superman into his submission, causing the death of many innocents as the last son of Krypton slaughters in the god's name. Can the rest of the justice league save their comrade from a life at Darkseid's boot?

And I may even suggest (Just out of personal experience using creatures) I would select a voice actor as well. 2. Darkseid is "Lawful Evil." He is never mindlessly evil and he is never chaotically evil. His motives and intentions are to create his own Utopia of existence ergo; Lawful Evil. 3. Age and Birthday - this is essentially OOC knowledge, BUT...based on your timeline his technical age is "1 year old." I'll come back to this later when I talk about the timeline. 4. As a God, do you think it's appropriate for Darkseid to have formal soldier training, isn't that beneath him? 5. On the previous note, Darkseid is often articulate as more powerful than Superman but, Superman stands to a fair fight for 2 reasons. (1) Darkseid doesn't get enough practice against beings equal to his might. (2) Superman is limited only by the writers who write his character therefore Superman is equally if not more powerful than Darkseid. What are your thoughts on this theory? Powers / Abilities (List as many as you need) New God Physiology: Despite looking much like mankind, the new gods of Apokolips are immortal, stronger, faster and more intelligent than their Earth counterparts. Their physiology evolved due to their close relationship to the Source and has lead to them living outside of normal time and space with their much more advanced technology that has lead them to evolutionary perfection. Superhuman Strength: Darkseid is one of the strongest beings in the multiverse, able to defeat Superman with brute force in one such incarnation and able to destroy almost any man made material. His strength has even allowed the destruction of the Green lantern's ring and while leader of new genesis it was unrivaled by any. Superhuman Speed: Though not as fast as the Flash or Superman, Darkseid is able to react within microseconds and perform feats of great speed. Though his normal movements appear clunky and slow, he is faster then the healthiest of humans and can often use superspeed to confuse and surprise his enemies, though it is rarely used. Superhuman Stamina: Darkseid is able to fight at his fullest for days without needing to sleep, rest or eat. His ability to keep moving without tiring allows him to battle other aliens for prolonged lengths of time. Invulnerability: Darkseid is immune to conventional weapons and other forms of attack. The only known things able to harm him have been high tier aliens such as Superman or Martian man hunter, weapons from his own home world have also been known to cause him harm, however human or lower tier alien assaults will do nothing to stop him. Immortal: Darkseid is immune to age, illness and other causes of death. Only incredibly powerful beings can kill him. Regeneration: Darkseid was once reduced to nothing and was able to reform himself from the injury, the extent of this power is unknown or it is unknown if a piece of Darkseid must survive in order for this ability to carry out. They are able to curve, bend and seek out their target, as well as remove them from the universe for later recalling. Telepathy: Darkseid can easily read minds of others anywhere in entire Universe. In this ability, he can also attack or invade someone's mind with images. Mind Control: Darkseid can control the actions, thoughts and minds of up to 100 humans at once. Allowing for the control of multiple slaves at once. Psionic Possession: Darkseid's psychic abilities are able to negate superhuman abilities via possession of an individual. To this effect the blasts can sustain damages from eradication to withering in effect, using both aspects to a devastating degree. This is what I'm reading from this timeline. One of the major purposes of the timeline is to bullet mark and point out when something significant has impacted and influenced the character. Because Darkseid is a creature that lives outside our space and time as do all of the 4th dimensional creatures, Darkseid could've been born in 2,000 B.C and began his reign in 1200 A.D and first meets Superman in 2010. Whatever timeline you come up with, you can use it to gage "Darkseid is 200, or 9,000 or 50,000 years old...As well you can say "Darkseid's Birthday (In Earth Terms) was January 17th 10 B.C 11. I suggest you talk with Superman in arranging when Darkseid first meets Superman. Keeping in mind that Darkseid would A. Know about the Kryptonians. Discover that Kal-El is the last of them (Either deciding to let Kal grow up on Earth and then take him away from the planet because they are feeble compared to the glory of Darkseid. I liked this audition post - a bit dragged out, but it does a good job portraying your understanding of the characters as well Darkseid's opinion of the Justice League. 13. I'm disappointed that no where on this entire application The High-father is not mentioned. New Genesis and its relationship to Apokolips is not mentioned. 14. Orion and Kalibek aren't mentioned as they are apart of the New Genesis Agreement/Treaty. Over all, I think you have potential and I want to see your response to the questions and comments I have given you above. I find this application a bit disappointing because you have quite of bit of knowledge, but you don't let it shine where you could. It's like you hinged a lot of your effort on the audition post, which is 1/3 of the application, but its still only 33% of the whole 100% |

In answer to these remarks, I provide my following thoughts.
On your fourth statement- DS was still born as Uxas and was the heir to the throne till be took control of it as DS, it could be safe to assume then that he received a fair bit of training as a young man as for even with plotting there may have been no sure way for him to come into contact with the omega realm.
On your fifth statement - I believe that DS much more powerful than Superman, personally however there are degrees that hold him back such as a lack of experience. DS is infamous for only fighting the worthy and letting his honor guard and others fight the less worthy, but with such high expectations and the power of his guard and forces it does mean that only extremely powerful beings can fight him. DS being able to fight them alone is a testament to his power, but as they are very in few he may be shall we say... A little rusty. However, with his age I think he would have gained enough combat experience to retain his combat prowess easily. If we look at the two as characters on a slate and not with writers involved, I do personally believe that in a one on one with no story devices involved that DS is far more powerful than Superman.
On your sixth statement - I apologize, I did copy and paste the list, but I did rewrite the articles of his powers in my own words. It simply seemed easier at the time. I can rewrite it given time, I do just want it put out however that I did do the writing of the actual powers listed.
On your seventh and eighth - Thank you for pointing them out, I will work on them.
With relations to the timeline - I apologize, I originally did have problems working that out and believed to have had it after a talk with Superman. Clearly I did not. I will take that into account when redoing it.
On thirteenth statement and fourteenth - I didn't see much opening to add them in, though my lack of understanding of the timeline may have added to that. I will look more into adding them.

1. I like the changes, you addressed things fairly well with the abilities and weaknesses. You also did good with grabbing a faceclaim and even a voice actor.
2. I'm sure someone has given you the heads up that Darkseid already has made an appearance in Earth 4 and Earth 1. I won't address the Earth 1 history with Darkseid, but with Earth 4, we have it set that 2010 = Darkseid's first introduction to Superman (not Earth.) The story we're writing is "The Trinity" where Darkseid has a brief appearance and oversees a fight between Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman against the female furies and parademons. Is this okay for you?
3. Given how Darkseid isn't exactly an applicable character to every RP (IE: You can't just walk down the street and involve him with an RP) it's recommended highly by DCU Admins for you to pick up a 2nd character (Either villain or hero) I would like to know, who would you pick up as a 2nd character? Have you looked into or considered anyone other than Darkseid?

Given how Darkseid isn't exactly an applicable character to every RP (IE: You can't just walk down the street and involve him with an RP) it's recommended highly by DCU Admins for you to pick up a 2nd character (Either villain or hero) I would like to know, who would you pick up as a 2nd character? In regrades to your second statement, I have already spoken to Superman about the trinities story. I am willing to take into account all previous E1 and E4 stories and incorporate them into my history. The years in which he arrived on Early and easily up for debate in regards to your storyline. For the third, I have not yet taken up deciding on a 2nd character as for now I would like to put a lot of thought in Darkseid and a possible arc Rp for him. With time and acceptance into the group, I may take up a smaller villain or Hero. |

I like the story arc ideas, very typical of Darkseid - one involving what seems to be a direct assault for a distraction buying Darkseid time for his real endgame.
The second story arc is good as well because it shows Darkseid's manipulation rather than his directness.
Overall about these story arcs, I think you could give the "plot" section a bit more of a story arc spin with your writing rather than a OOC summary. Essentially, you're not captivating the audience or piquing our interest in these stories.
For example
"Superman / Batman: Apocalypse"
Heroes: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Big Barda, Supergirl
Villains: Darkseid, Doomsday, Female Furies, Granny Goodness.
Plot: Superman discovers his long lost cousin from Krypton and tries to teach her how to use her Kryptonian powers on Earth. Meanwhile shadowy forces are on the move and seek to capitalize on the opportunity to take control of a young and unsuspecting Kryptonian. Superman and his allies must attempt to uncover the sinister plot to save Supergirl from a fate worse than death.

A lot more creative, it gives a taste of what the story is about and what you're going for. Now if you wanted to create a story board / outline and share that with your RPers for the story arc - you can do that. It allows everyone to get on the same page with you and understand what your objectives are and how they can utilize it for their character's growth.
My opinion is approval. You are still pending other admins and their decisions.

I like how much and how actively you've been working on this since you've posted up this application. You've been on top of changes and engaged in making the changes that need to be made with the heads of E1 and E4 and your willingness to work with past canon gives you an even bigger leg up.
