Basic Information
Player Nickname: Mizzy
Profile URL: roleplay.chat/profile.php?user=Stephanie+Brown
Do you want other role players to give you feed back? Sure!
Why do you want to join the RP group? Because I love writing, I love the DCU, and Stephanie Brown is a particular favorite of mine.
What do you expect to get out of our RP group?/ I would like to RP Steph from her origins, starting from Day 1, and seeing how she grows, perhaps differently from the story lines that have already been established for her.
What are your expectations of us? Tacos and cherry slushees, bi-weekly, delivered right into my hand. No, I'm just hoping for some good writing experiences, and lots of fun and adventure.
Which DCU Earth are you applying to?: Earth 4, with maybe some Multiversity
Please link the URL to our rule page to confirm you have read them. justiceleaguerp.proboards.com/thread/595/dcu-rules-edition-2016-september
Character Origin: Steph is mixed. I'm basing a lot of her personality off her main continuity in New Earth, but putting in a healthy dose of Earth 2 with her blogger background. I've decided to nix her abusive-pregnancy drama from the beginning, and keep her relatively simple. She's a girl who looks up to Batman and his Family, and hopes to one day join their ranks.
Face Claim's Name: (Olivia Holt)
Name: Stephanie "Steph" Brown
Alias: Currently, Spoiler (but she's very hopeful for Batgirl someday!)
Race: Human
Age: 17 years old
Birthday: Shoot for May? ... 14th?
Alignment: Currently, chaotic good
Height: 5 foot 5 inches
Weight: 124 lbs
Hair: Sunshine blonde
Eyes: American Sweetheart Blue
Physique: Fit and athletic. She's an avid gymnast, but with the curves of a young woman coming into her full feminine potential. Killer legs thanks to all her activity, and a toned stomach that shows subtle hints of her six-pack when its bare.
Training: Street brawling, minimal boxing, sleight of hand, street smarts. Due to her unstable home life, she's lived most of her life on the streets, and due to her adventures with trial-and-error as a self-made vigilante, she's learned the ins and outs, so far, on her bigger mistakes. Education wise, she was granted a scholarship with the Wayne Foundation to attend Gotham Academy for her English writing ability, and her gymnastic skills. She is expected to maintain a 3.8 GPA in order to keep her scholarship.
Equipment: Steph's costume at the current moment is hand-made by whatever she can scrap together. It's mostly leather, each item separate, and most of it not even lined. She's got a cowl and a cape, a holster for her bo staff that can collapse into a three-section-staff, and a few odd bits and ends that help with her line of work like a lock pick, a lighter, some zip ties, and the like.
Powers / Abilities
Acrobatics - Steph is naturally talented in this, and is part of her school's gymnast team (one of it's brightest stars!). She's prone to parkour when out of class, and uses it as her main means of moving through the city and keeping in shape.
Escapology - Steph grew up as a raggamuffin and street rat. She knows all kinds of ways in and out of buildings, and when her dad wasn't in the slammer, he was teaching her this criminal's trade.
Investigation - Although she's still training in this, Steph has a very sharp wit and a keen eye, a natural talent for investigation that she's using to 'aide' Batman and his Family (whether they like it or not) in "spoiling" bad guy plans.
Stealth - Once again, Steph's street smarts come into play.
Martial Arts - She... actually doesn't have that refined of martial arts skills at this moment, but she's an excellent brawler and her talent with acrobatics and gymnastics has helped her with her reflexes. Why, if only someone (preferably Bat-flavored) would train her a little, she could be amazing!
Computer Savvy - Steph may not know how to fully hack (yet), but she's very resourceful and uses her blogging and social media knowledge to find clues and answers. Her self-taught know-how also comes into play when she's trying to break into other devices. She's by no means a hacker, but there is definitely some groundwork already laid.
Weaknesses
Human Physiology - Although we all know Steph is amazing, she's still only human.
Teenage Girl - And even worse, she's a teenage girl, prone to the hormonal mood swings that most adolescents suffer through.

Audition post
She breathed -- in, out -- finding her center and her rhythm as she dodged a shot at her jaw, rounded up, saw an opening at the jerk's ribcage, took it fast and hard, retreated again. Rinse. Repeat. These guys were double her size -- Russian, slightly buzzed, tattooed and up to no good -- but she was faster, more focused. The four of them were kinda angry that she had interrupted their heist of a pawn shop in the scummiest of scummiest neighborhoods of Gotham... while she was wholly concentrated on spoiling their plans, by whatever means necessary (and she hadda lot of means).
It's not like Steph didn't get it -- times were tough for organized crime in Gotham. Gangsters just weren't like they used to be, heck, people weren't like they used to be, and it seemed every year Gotham got more and more dark. There was a lot of competition out there, and robbing some Indian guy's pawn shop was easy pickings.
To their credit, they'd been pretty professional about it all; they had a key to get in through the back door, and one of the guys knew the number to turn off the general alarm of the store -- but they'd been shady, and they'd looked outta place, and Steph had just been spoiling to rough up some bad guys. It was two birds with one stone in her book; help the Gotham PD, help the Bat Family. She was a hero wasn't she?
Toned, youthful body spun to gain momentum in their brawl, her nubile figure wrapped in black and dark purple leather and her face masked. She held her staff in a gloved grip as she smacked an end against a Russian tattooed hand that was raising a gun at her -- making a cry burst from the pale guy's mouth -- and she see-sawed to plant the other end of the staff onto the ground, using her velocity to vault upward and slam her boot into the chest of another guy.
Russian Goon #3 yelled as he went sailing through the air and crashed against the front window of the jewelry store they'd been fighting in, rattling against the glass-shattered wrought-iron bars that were supposed to "protect" the store from walk-by thieves. The alarm started screaming.
"Whoops," Steph muttered, wincing beneath her half mask. This was gonna get messy. The Russian mobsters panicked and beat it for the door, kicking it open with a crash and barreling through -- totally ditching the unconscious guy in the destroyed front window display.
She went after them, and breaking her staff down into its three parts, she whacked the closest guy upside the head -- striking his temple so he went out like a light -- while the remaining two went for a car that came screeching around the corner, a man in the driver seat shouting in hasty Russian to the them.
"Hey! Stop running!" She yelled at them, but of course they didn't listen -- criminals never listen.
"Crap," she muttered and she glanced back at the two bodies she had knocked unconscious. The smart thing to do would be to zip tie their hands and ankles so they wouldn't magically come awake and get away from the scene of the crime... but the other half of them were gettin' away with the loot!!
Her inner debate was quick, figuring that it would be better retrieve what was stolen than it would be make sure the dime-a-dozen mobsters got locked up. Groaning, she folded her staff into thirds, holstered it, then left the scene to try and travel by roof top to catch up with the car.
It was gonna be a looooong night in Gotham.
