Physique - Barry is a rather slender individual with a very toned body which is a result from the particle accelerator hitting him. He doesn't have any discerning features about him.
Training - Barry is a forensic scientist which gives him a basic understanding and knowledge of physics, biology, and many other things. He's not a veteran in fighting hand to hand, but through the time of fighting criminals he's learn to develop his own style.
Equipment - His fireproof suit which allows him to withstand high temperatures that contains a defibrillator incase his heart were to ever stop. He also carries a ring that can hold the Flash suit.
Powers / Abilities
Speed Force Conduit - As a result from growing into his own powers, Barry can harness the power of the Speed Force.
Accelerated Healing - His connection to the Speed Force allows his wounds to heal faster than what a normal human being could be able to do.
Enhanced Perception - His awareness and reaction to things are boosted because of how fast he can move.
Phasing - The movement of his molecules can be moved to the point of vibrating, allowing him to phase through solid objects.
Superhuman Stamina - Because of the constant use of speed, his body has been gifted with prolong stamina to cope with how fast he moves.
Enhanced Mental Process - Barry can use his speed to absorb information at the speed of light, gifting him with incredible knowledge. However this knowledge can sometimes be limited, meaning that what he reads can be forgotten just as quick.
Time Travel - If moving fast enough through the Speed Force, Barry can create a wormhole which allows him to travel to key points in time whenever he wants. It's not something he uses very often, but he's capable of creating ripples in time.
Weaknesses
Humanity - Barry can be injured by any normal weapon that manages to hit him. The SF makes him faster and heals him quickly, but it doesn't ignore the fact that he's just a normal human being.
Friends and Family - Barry has been shown to compromise his goals or even his own life to try and save a life of a loved one.
Metabolism - Because of the constant speeds at which he's moving, it makes it hard for his diet to keep up. Therefore he consumes a bunch of food in order to keep himself in tip top shape.
Trust - Barry Allen is known to look past the greater evil in someone if he feels like they're capable of being even slightly good. Many times he's been shown to end up in a bad spot because of this. This allows someone to get close to him and stab him right in the back.
Ice - Any form of ice that's cold enough prevents the speedster from being able to utilize his speed. It halts the vibration process of his molecules, and in turn can make him stop the moment it makes contact with his body.
Relationships
Iris West - Barry's best friend whom he had grown up with during his childhood. The two of them became practically inseparable, and eventually led to the Speedster falling in love with Iris as they began to spend so much time together.
Harold Jordan - The two of them had confronted one another at some point about their powers. Things were rocky at first, but as time passed the two of them eventually became inseparable.
Oliver Queen - One of Barry's long time friends who has helped him out with his fair share of meta humans. Although their tactics and beliefs might be different, they have a common respect for one another.
Felicity Smoak - Barry and her have had a rather strange relationship, regarding her as someone he will always love. She has shown Barry what it means to embrace who he is, and has become an invaluable partner to work with while catching criminals.
Caitlyn Snow - Barry's personal nurse and advisor when it comes to women. He feels tremendous guilt for not being able to save her husband, further driving him to be the best speedster he can be.
Cisco Ramon - His eyes and ears around Central City. Barry considers Cisco to be a little brother to him, always wanting the best for him.
Batman - An indifferent vigilante whom he's met a few times. Barry knows little about who the caped crusader might be, but the thought of him being around makes him have a natural respect for the Dark Knight.
Timeline
Year 1 (2012)

-The particle accelerator explodes, resulting in him getting hit with a bolt of lightning.

-Learns that the Reverse Flash is the reason for his powers, and for the death of his mother.

-Starts becoming more popular all throughout the super hero community, eventually being confronted by Hal Jordan.
-A man by the name of Captain Cold pops up in Central City, resulting in Barry to team up with the Green Lantern to battle said foe.
Confusion. That was the feeling that had been produced throughout the entire metropolis known as Central City. Crime had become rampant ever since that particular day the particle accelerator had exploded. It was apparent that S.T.A.R. labs had created a new form of terrorism--the meta human. Reports of abnormal activity had become more apparent since that day, resulting in detainment of meta human to become life threatening to that of a normal person. These so called special criminals began changing life on a daily basis, but there was something else that began changing the city. In spite of the depravity many felt, there was an answer to the these new founded problems. Rumors of a so called red blur began filling the city, inspiring many to believe that there was a solution. Months passed and the sightings became more solidified through a woman known as Iris West. Hope began filling the deprived city in an alarming rate; almost in a Flash. Barry Allen had been the center of this all in a rather unexpected way, and yet it became something that inspired him too. The death of his mother, Nora Allen, had driven him to always do the right thing. What could have been used for destruction, was ultimately used for the creation of something much bigger than he had intended at first.
Barry stood atop a building which over looked the entire downtown portion of Central City. The wind began to pick up, rushing through against face. His eyes panned out at the area, noticing the police sirens blur throughout the distance. His intercom began buzzing, resulting him to place a finger over his right earbud. "Barry? Your comm went a little haywire for a moment! I might have to calibrate the bugs out when you get back to S.T.A.R. labs.." The speedster couldn't help but laugh at Cisco and his obsession with technology. "Don't worry about out, Cisco. You got me here in the knick of time. Now tell me how many are being held hostage. The main priority is getting these guys out." His pocket then buzzed, picking up his phone with his free hand. It was a text message from the one and only Iris West. It read 'Barry I need your help!..I'm being held hostage in City Hall!!" The male then turned his attention back to Cisco. "Cisco I need you to hurry up with the sit rep! Iris is in the building, and they're seconds away from being hurt.' Cisco had finally pulled up the specks. "Okay! Okay! There's about six of them in the building. Four of them on the first level. The other two are on the top level with all of the hostages. Get them out quick!" Allen then placed both hands over his mask, taking a single step forward as a surge of red lightning emanated from the ground, chucking him into the Speed Force.
The Flash bursted through the streets of the city faster than usual. Impending thoughts of the love of his life being harmed, and the man who raised him kept clouding his mind. Within two seconds he managed to bust through the doors. The four goons who were lined up in a rectangular formation aimed their guns at him and fired impulsively. Barry then stepped toward the group, throttling the world around him into a slowed state. Barry avoided every single shot in the blink of an eye, extending out a fist that connected with one of the goons which resulted in him spiraling through a glass window. The other goon then turned around and aimed his pistol straight towards Barry. He then wagged his finger at the goon. "You've been a bad boy. I don't think you'll be making the nice list this year." He launched himself forward, pressing a knee into the thug's abdomen which knocked him out completely. He looked up and saw the other two goons moving with Iris at gunpoint, rushing to save the woman that he loved.
Barry then halted himself, having seen that one thug held a gun on Iris's head, leading her off the edge of the balcony. "Come any closer and I'll have the little pretty lady here flatter than a fuckin' pancake." Barry narrowed his eyes underneath the mask, balling his fist up from his remark. "Yeah? Well I think I have other plans for her and for the two of you idiots." The Flash then launched himself once more into the Speed Force, seeing that he hadn't listened. Iris was chucked off the rooftop, while the two began shooting at the speedster. Barry began zipping across the wall, launching himself towards the first. He was then launched into a pile of sand bags, while Barry launched past the other resulting in him being blown off from the scaffold and into the glass below. Within an a millisecond, the Flash zipped down the building and down the street to catch Iris. They were then brought to the top of another building which overlooked the ports of Central City. Iris and her screaming halted, examining the speedster with her frantic hands. "It's alright, Iris! It's over..I told you I would be here." His grip on her tightened while her breathing began to slow from the frantic panting. She then nodded, before giving him a quick peck on the lips. "I know..and I know I'll always have you." Barry returned the kiss, giving her nothing more than a reassuring smile. Nothing would harm her, or Central City. Not when the Flash was alive and well.
