Powers / Abilities
(List as many as you need) Do not copy and paste a wiki site. We want your words, not someone else's.
Hand-to-Hand Combat - Although Jason does not possess the same athleticism as Batman, nore the Robin before him, Dick Grayson, he does, however, still possess a wide variety of martial arts techniques that were learned from his mentor, the League of Assassins, as well as All-Caste.
Instincts - What Jason lacks in skill, he severely makes up for with his instincts. Even in moments that he would normally be overpowered, Jason would always manage to even out the scales to his favor.
Leadership - While he himself never got to lead the Teen Titans, or the Titans, as Dick and Tim did, Jason did lead the outlaws. Albeit, it was for a short time, Red Hood did display a plethora of leadership abilities by pulling the Outlaw out of tight situations, as well as carefully planning their attacks.
Firearms Training - Jason is extremely skilled with a most, if not all forms of firearms. This includes grenade launchers, mines, snipers, and automatic rifles.
Detective Skills - His exposure to detective work, was never on par with the rest of the robins, however, he was able to learn quite a few from his time with Batman. A time passed his skills evntually grew and developed, not quite in the same manner as Batman, Tim Drake, or Dick Grayson did, but in a way that suited Jason's fighting style.
Weaknesses
(List as many as you need)
Humanity - Jason's most obvious weakness is the fact that he's only human. Even if he was trained by a large number of people, at the end of the day, a well placed bullet, or a crowbar and some dynamite, may very well be his imminent doom.
Anger - Anger has always been an issue for Jason. This alone leads him to places, and scenarios that would put him in immediate danger.
Acts too much on instinct - Although it was stated that his instincts were his strengths, it is also one of his greatest weaknesses. The sole reason for that is because Jason sometimes acts without thinking about the situation at hand.
Stubborn - It takes a lot to instill a lesson in his head, especially when it's something that he does not agree to in any way, shape, or form.
Audition post
The mask was equipped with a gas filter, and yet, Jason could still smell the gunpowder pounding away from the weapons he held in his hands. With his back against the creaking end of a wooden crate, head lowered to avoid getting caught by any stray, or well aimed bullets, the only thing he could hope for was an opening. But even a small window of opportunity would have been hard to find in the middle of a massive shootout inside a warehouse just by the docks.
Jason closed his eyes and grit his teeth tightly, both hands at the side of his head, ready to fire at any given moment. He listened, and listened close to every shot of an M16 round that fired, and as soon as one of the fifteen armed men stopped shooting to reload their rifles, the Red Hood threw a smoke grenade upward, and jumped out of his hiding spot.
"Shoot him!" One of them shouted, and a rapid assault of bullets zoomed their way towards Jason. But the smoke bomb had already detonated, and the most the thugs could hope for was a blind shot to tag the man. The shots became faster, but less consistent. Until each of them stopped, waiting for the smoke to clear praying that the body of the Red Hood could be found lifeless on the floor. Once their surroundings had reappeared, Jason was nowhere to be seen.
"Well, that was fun while it lasted. Didn't it?" Jason spoke, appearing just behind some men that were in the biggest cluster. Naturally, the initial reaction of every single one was to point and fire away. And they did. Unfortunately for them, the guns seemed to have start working. "Disabled your guns." He admitted, waving around a small device in his hand. "Borrowed it from a friend of mine. Would have done it earlier, but I needed to get closer." He continued to wave the device and eyed the person closest to him. "Catch!" Red Hood threw the device, and the moment the thug attempted to grab it (Almost comically), Jason threw the first punch.
It was then that everyone had gathered around him in an attempt to fight back. He lowered his head to avoid a gun that was being used as a blunt weapon, and instead hit the thug in front of him. Jason swept his leg and tripped up his assailant, and pulled out the gun on his right side, shooting at two that were headed straight for him. When the gun ran out of ammunition, he tossed it up , and began to deal with a couple more people by throwing a few more punches. Just as the gun was about to land back down, Red Hood pulled an ammo clip from his pocket, grabbed the gun, and reloaded. The remaining few that were left raised their hands in a surrender. "Well look at that. You guys --do-- have brains."
A man with long shoulder lowered his head and cried out "Please! We were just foll--"
"Following orders. Yeah. Yeah. I get it." Jason aimed the gun against the male's head, "But you're still a scumbag. And scum like you don't deserve to live."
"P-please! The crates have nothi--"
"The crates have weapons for Black Mask!" He pressed the barrel harder against his skull, causing the male to yell in fear. " And what exactly do you think Mask is goin' to do with 'em? Have a goddamn tea party?"
"I...I..." The shoulder lenght-haired man was speechless.
"Hold on." Red Hood growled before walking towards the three others, knocking them out with well placed smacks to the head with the handgun. "I'll deal with those turds later on."
"I-I-I'm s-s-s-sorry!" The remaining male cried out.
"Rubber bullets." Jason whispered.
"Wh-what?"
"That's what these guns are armed with. Rubber Bullets." He nodded. And for a brief moment, the male seemed to have some breathing room. "But these..." Jason opened a crate and picked up one of the assault rifles and loaded them. "These are real, aren't they?!" He kicked the man between the eyes, sending him reeling backwards. Jason clicked his tongue and pointed the rifle at him.
"BLACK MASK!" The male yelled covering his face. "H-he has people w-watching my wife...I'm...I'm just doing it for her...please...we just...we lost our son..."
"Oh spare me the sob story, gramps."
"He was killed. Murdered!"
Jason felt a cold wind breeze through even within his mask. The memory that he so desperately chose to forget, always seemed to find a way to come back and haunt him.
"Please...don't do it..."
It almost didn't feel as if he was pointing an assault rifle against a man who lost everything, it felt like he was a kid trapped in a dark place. Alone with a man who exists only for chaos. His hands trembled, and his feet weakened.
The man, seemingly confused, tears running down his face, could only muster a whimper.
With a heavy heart, and a clouded mind, Red Hood lifted the gun and contemplated. After a few seconds, he took a shot. Jason Todd turned around and headed for the exit. He tugged at the ends of the mask around his face, and the spirit gum slowly tore away, creating a hissing sound.
The man shook, both eyes staring at the bullet that penetrated the floor beside him. "Th-thank you..."
"Shut up." He replied, his back turned away. "Next time there won't be a 'next time'."
Remaining comments
Do you have any last comments, concerns, or interesting things you want to share?
The Outlaws that I mentioned are Starfire, and Arsenal. I know that Bizzaro, as well as Artemis were the next in line for the Outlaws name, but I decided that it shouldn't be included in my version of Jason just yet. I hope that's fine.
