Basic Information
Player Nickname: Just call me Lou
Profile URL: Not really got one on RPC, since there doesn't seem to be much action in the room. I'll be checking back here for updates and such.
Do you want other role players to give you feed back? Sure
Why do you want to join the RP group? Because I like groups and having people around to write with.
What do you expect to get out of our RP group? Itching my writing scratch when it occurs, talking with like minded people and getting some stories developed.
What are your expectations of us? Nice people who actually want to write? I get the writing bug when the moods decended on me and its nice to have people around who wanna write too, I've been in groups where no writing actually happens and its all just banter. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of having a chat but when nothing actually happens, it can get really boring and I get detached. Hopefully you guys are not too cliquey either. I know this is a well established group and coming into things late in the game is hard, but sometimes it feels like no-one wants to have anything to do with the new kid at the party. I'm not expecting to be insta-besties from the word go, far from it, but I've been in groups before where everyone else was connected and when I wanted to join in and chat or play too, I was summarily blanked by all present. Again, that gets disheartening and makes me not want to be around anymore. Hopefully this doesn't come off as too whiny, I just want to set my thoughts out from the word go.
TL;DR: I have been in 2 groups before and left due to feeling shunned and no-one actually wanting to write, I hope this won't happen here.
Which DCU Earth are you applying to?: Multiversity for the time being, if I'm good enough, then I'll look at Earth-4.

Character Origin: Comics
Face Claim's Name: Ruby Rose
Name: Selina Kyle
Alias: Catwoman
Race: Human
Age: 30
Birthday: 5th December 1986.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral.
Chaotics tend to see actions as motivated by independence or dogma. They see themselves as independent of any rigid code while lawfuls are seen as the originators and enforcers of unyielding dogmatism. Ethical neutrals are seen as too influenced by the philosophies of the lawfuls, and are seen as conformists for the most part. Characters who are morally neutral tend to see themselves as realistic. So-called "good" is actually an idealistic and naive philosophy in their eyes. Moral neutrals also eschew what they see as the radical egoism of darker, "evil" philosophies.
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 133lbs
Hair: Black, worn short for convinence more so than any fashion statement.
Eyes: Emerald green.
Physique: Athletic frame, like a gymnast, not overly muscular but with some definition.
Training: Selina has been trained or taught herself a number of different abilities and skills, including acrobatics, martial arts (boxing, jujitsu, karate) and thievery training. Her gymnastics training has kept her one step ahead with all of the rest of her training, giving her the edge in fights as well as making it easier to get into difficult spots when pulling off a job.
Equipment:
[*] Catwoman Costume: Selina wears a skintight costume as Catwoman. The suit sports exceptionally sharp claws (retractable) in the gloves and climbing pitons in her boots for getting up walls. The suit is skintight to give Selina flexibility and full range of movement. She wears a mask and goggles to provide anonymity and hide her secret identity. The suit is made from a thick insultated cloth to keep her warm even in cold Gotham winters, as well as being waterproof and fire retardant.
[*] Bullwhip: Selina carries a 12ft braided bullwhip that she is proficent in using. It is her weapon of choice when she isn't in close combat, where she will use her claws.
[*] Claws: Selina's close combat weapon of choice, the claws in her suit are retractable and can be used to shred a bullet-proof vest, punch through an aluminum frame car door, or dig into porous surfaces in order to climb.
[*] Motorcycle: Selina uses a 2007 Ducati Monster S4R for travel when not using her acrobatics on the rooftops.
Powers / Abilities
Acrobatics: With a lot of training and time practicing under her belt, Selina is an accomplished acrobat. She seems to posses an athletic ability that some would call 'superhuman' but it is merely the product of almost a life time of training.
Martial Arts: Having had several people train her in martial arts, Selina uses her skills in gymnastics and acrobatics to give her an edge in her fights. She's fast, both physically and mentally, using precise agile attacks and knowing when to get out of the fight if it isn't going her way. Her above average balance and flexibility will often turn the fight in her favour if going up against an opponent who isn't as fast as she is.
Thieves training:
-Stealth: Selina has been known to sneak up on other vigilantes on patrol without being detected, she seems to exhibit a stealth level on par with any of the large cats.
-Disguise: Selina has an affinity for disguises and aliases due to the many different jobs she has been on. She usually only resorts to them if really required.
-Thievery: Selina is a master thief, notorious throughout Gotham City and some times beyond as the best cat burgalar. She tends not to go for massive takes, she is a fan of jewels and gems, not vaults full of cash. Instead of going after other people's hard earned money in a bank, she would go after a CEO's safe to get documents in order to blackmail him for a profit.
-Escape Artist: Selina is gifted at escaping from many different kinds of traps and tends not to get tricked into them in the first place. When she does, unfortunately, get caught up in one, she uses her mind and her talents to be able to escape.
Feline Empathy: Selina has a strong affinity for felines. Cats of all species tend to flock to her, accepting her. They seem to recognise that she is a friend, not an enemy. She takes in injured cats and nurses them back to health, befriends any strays she comes across, able to train them and form strong bonds with them. On occasion they have come to her aid when she has been attacked, which has proven to be useful if one of the larger cat species were involved.
Peak human conditioning: Due to her training and constant, almost nightly use of her skills, Selina is at a peak in a lot of different skills when stacked up against another human female of her age and build. This includes her speed, her endurance and her strength- she has been known to benchpress up to twice her body weight (up to 270lbs) She is able to swing without injury to her joints with a whip or grapple.
Above average intelligence: Selina posseses a razor sharp mind, she is capable of figuring out complex security systems and bypassing them, as well as outwitting many guards.
Weaknesses
Mortality: Despite all of her training, Selina is still human, she can be killed in any manner that any other human can. Her upper limits are higher, but she will still suffer from exhaustion if pushed to or beyond these limits. She can be taken down by any of the severe illnesses that could kill another human, but she is also less susceptible to things like colds due to being at peak physical condition.
Empathy: Despite all of her bluster, Selina hates to see injustice to the people on the street around her, since she was there once. She doesn't care who is in charge, she just wants things to be just and fair for the people around her, whether they are common thieves or the nice old lady down the hall from her. This empathy can be a weakness at times.
Audition post
"Wait, what did they call it again?"
"Oeil de l'oiseau de feu. Means eye of the fire bird, keep up darling, I'm not going to repeat it to you again."
"Sorry."
"Look, you need to be switched on for this job to work, or we're gonna get pinched, and you're a friend, but I'm not going down for you or anyone else."
"I know Selina, you've told me a couple of times now."
The older woman looked down at the teenager sitting upside down on her couch, blowing bubblegum as she watched something vapid on television. The black haired woman rolled her eyes, pushing on the teenagers boots that were resting against the back of her couch, leaving little specks of dirt everywhere on the cream fabric.
"Get your feet down. And turn that off. It's gonna rot your brain."
The knock to her feet put her slightly off balance and the teen slid, half draped across the couch now as she reached up to grab the remote, turning the television off. Selina looked back to her game board, the one she'd set up to keep track of heists and this one was going to be big. The Oeil de l'oiseau de feu, or just Oeil as it was more commonly known was a rare beauty. A ruby the size of her clenched fist that had been cut and polished to perfection. That would have been enough for the attention of Gotham's preeminent jewel thief, but this one was even more special. The Oeil had a rare flaw, something to do with a mineral vein trapped inside the gem that meant when you held it up to the light, it looked like it was on fire inside. Photographs didn't do this gem justice, Selina just had to have it. On the cork board stuck to her wall were pinned articles about the gem, different museums it had been kept in and the security they had used as well as details about its transportation, times and lists of guards, all haphazardly tacked into the board with little cat head push pins. The sound of boots hitting the floor came from behind her as the waif came to stand next to her, the obnoxious crack of the gum in her mouth making Selina's eye twitch. Lord her weakness for helping skinny little nobodies get back on their feet was going to be the end of her.
"So, we're going in to get-" Selina cut the waif off almost immediately, holding up her hand in her face without taking her eyes off the mass of information in front of her.
"No. Not we. Me. I will go in. You will be outside, a safe distance away with a pair of high powered binoculars watching for anything that might hinder me. If you come in with me, that's an unneccesary complication and I do not need you slowing me down."
"I'm not gonna sl-" Selina's hand inched closer to her face as she tried to protest, once more cutting her off mid sentence. She seemed to get the hint and fell silent, moving back a step from Selina's hand as she cracked the gum once more. Selina felt the muscle in her jaw twitch as she kept her eyes on the words in front of her that were jumping around everywhere now, sinking into her mind, embedding themselves into her consciousness so every eventuality could be planned for. Well. Almost every eventuality. If the Big Boy caught wind of this and decided to put a dampner on her plans, she didn't know if she could talk her way out of this one with him. She'd try anyway. And besides, there were always bigger fish to fry in Gotham that would keep his attention. Surely one of the villains in town would pull off some sort of half baked scheme and let her work in peace. She didn't consider herself a villain, oh not by the longest of shots. She was an opportunist, an equaliser. A Robin Hood only without fully completing the final step. It helped her sleep at night at the very least, knowing she wasn't bad, at least by how Gotham defined it anyway.
"You'll be outside the museum. Here." Selina tapped on the layout of the Gotham Art Museum with a manicured nail, indicating a small park that lay near the main gate, but a fair distance from the actual main entrance. "I'm assuming you can climb a tree, right? Since you shimmied your way up my fire escape like some sort of circus monkey with ease." She eyed the younger girl who merely gave her what could be described as a 'shit eating grin' and then cracked that damn bubblegum again.
"I'll be watching your back Selina. Don't worry. I got eyes like a hawk."
Selina could barely hide the grimace as she looked back at the board, lowering her hand from the layout in front of her, as she continued to read her own notes. Its not your eyes I'm worried about darling. It's your attention span.
