Heroes: Black Canary, Deathstroke, John Lynch, Amanda Waller, Alex Fairchild, Steve Trevor, Wildcat
Villains:
Summary: Black Canary is thrown into a Covert Military Operation called "Team 7." and is left with many questions.
Black Canary As Dinah got close to the jet, she froze as she heard a familiar voice. Slade... She felt a slight hesitation.. he knew of this... he had planned this... and this group had more people to join them... One of the women looked familiar... This was too pat. He wanted her away from Ollie and now she was. Pulling the hostages away would naturally pull her away. Did that mean that something was going to happen with Ollie now? This window of opportunity was closing. She had to do this... she felt some pain for Ollie, hoping his team could help bail him out. She still had her earpiece in. somethign she had hidden and gotten through security, if the crap hit the fan, then maybe Felicity would let her know. (c)
Black Canary She heard the man behind her encourage to go further. she shook his hand firmly. "Katie Robins. Pleased to meet you. To be honest, I was afraid I would miss this one." purposefuly leaving out details to let this man finish the thought and welcome her into this... well whatever this was. Short of Wilson, she could likely hold her own against these people. Perhaps not on a small aircraft. (e)
Dinah would settle into her seat and the circumstances reminding her of what got her in this situation to begin with. She was following a lead of missing children to Star City, meeting up with the Green Arrow they had discovered the Yakuza had taken hostages for some kind of experiment. Slade Wilson, who had a vendetta against Green Arrow would offer her a lead on the Yakuza if she would step away from helping Green Arrow. She took the bait and now she was on a private jet flying over the Pacific Ocean in a compartment with unknown strangers and an deadly assassin that critically injured her days ago.
John Lynch would stand at the head of the jet and look to the cockpit where two pilots flew. "Major Trevor, how far are we?" Steve would speak into his headset echoing throughout the plane's speakers. "ETA 30 minutes." John then turned to look at everyone else. "Hello everyone, I'm glad you could make it. You're all here for some reason or another...Lets recap everyone here. I am John Lynch and this here is Alex Fairchild - Code named 'Slaphammer' and I'm called 'TopKick' it will save your life." Lynch was a tall, lanky man with brown hair cut close to his head with rough features on his face, despite seeming pleasant and straight forward there was an aura about him of mystery.
Alex Fairchild - Slaphammer, was a blond man with a goatee thicker than Oliver Queen's with rugged features on his face much like John Lynch's features. Both of their skins were a light shade with no sign of pink in their flesh. "Over here is a notorious World renowned Assassin - Deathstroke the Terminator, Slade Wilson." Slade was a white haired man with a thick goatee that was trimmed like a proper rich man, but distinguishing him from the crew was not just his white hair and well tailored suit...He wore a black eye patch over his right eye.
"C.I.A agent, Amanda Waller otherwise known in the criminal justice system as "The Wall" is in the back there." She was a thin woman with dark skin and jet black hair coiled into a bun behind her head. Noticeably she was equipped with two pistols holstered beside her bust and a utility belt around her waist. An earpiece and microphone tracing her jawline. She held a upper class, rich character that made her seem snobbish to others. When she was not speaking one could tell the gears were turning in her head. "And the last...Black Canary, blonde 'Superhero' traveling across America. Your pilots are Major Steven Trevor and Will Benifold, United States Airforce and former British Royal Guard.
Here's the situation...The United States Government has employed me to assemble of team for investigating Metahuman activity. The people on this jet are of my choosing, in exchange you're all getting something you want from me or the Government. Black Canary, you and I still need to talk. But in terms of this operation, you all are aware of the Yakuza shipping a group of captive children for experimentation. We believe metahuman are among them and the Yakuza are too dangerous to indoctrinate these children into weapons. Our job is to neutralize the Yakuza and rescue the hostages."
Black Canary As Dinah looked out her window looking out at the tarmak the shine of the windows of the beast of a city which just lay beyond, she found her mind thinking about that stubborn archer. His own vandetta to clean up something he obviously felt responsible for, and more than just to save the city... He was going to get himself killed. Perhaps she should stay and make sure he survived... She was still aching from obviously being baited to get on this flight, to abandon the Green Arrow. Apparently Slade had saw her as a risk for whatever plan he had cooked up. But he still had Diggle and Felicity, hopefully they could temper him a little... and while she was hoping, she would like a pony. (c)
But, there was the reason she came to Star City. The missing children. That should be enough reason. Especially since she knew these kids were metahumans and the research and who knows what else that could be done to them, endoctrunating, turning them into leaving weapons... It was too big of a risk. And nobody deserved that kind of treatment, especially kids. The thought alone made her hands ball up in anger. She let out a slow sigh and looked about this cozy plane. Sizing up the people about her. All of them looked to have had some kind of training, whether it be the military or martial arts. (c)
And then Mr. Lynch whom was the only one who tried to introduce himself spoke. Heh, they had codenames. And then Slade was called out telling everyone his other identity so blantantly, the assasin deathstroke. Her leg still was sore from where he had plunged an arrow throw it. Bastard. And a CIA agent as well, she looked like a walking government grade weapons cache. and a couple airforce boys for their pilots. They all had been hand picked for this. This was going to be a fun trip... fun. Then she heard her own name. And she cursed inside her head. Lynch knew who she was the entire time. Then why did he ask her name. The man obviously liked playing games. Dinah frowned slightly as she heard about how all these people were getting more out of this than just rescuing kids. And she got to sit with the vice principal to hear her deal later. Nice. (c)
She wondered if they would threaten her later with some stupid charge of impersonating an officer or something and giving her amnisty, that would be the government... But Lynch seemed to know his stuff, he was able describe the mission, the mission she had been working on getting by herself and with the help of team arrow. Now it was their mission. Well, they were getting her there and she would have backup, might as well play ball if it meant stopping the Yakuza. Dinah looked down at her cute pink top and skirt. Looking so much the casual and bubbly tourist. So much for using charm to get aboard. She would have to dress in 'business attire'. She gave a nod to Lynch. "Do you need anything from me? I'm going to go get suited up." She lifted her chin slightly, clearly not about to apologize for trying to mislead him earlier.
"By all means." Lynch said to Dinah pointing at the bathroom closet in the rear of the plane. Were John Lynch to be like Amanda Waller's style of leadership, he would've blackmailed Black Canary, but he was actually smarter. Waiting for Black Canary to change he would sit alone with a vacant seat next to him. "You're not very different from everyone here. You think being cynical will keep you alive, but being cynical only gets you loneliness. You're not the only one here because its the right thing to do. Just as you're not the only one with a soft spot for children. Slaphammer has a daughter of his own, Waller had lost her daughter to rape and her sons, and her husband to street violence. Slade had lost his entire family."
"I can't make you trust these people, but don't fool yourself into thinking you're better than any of them. You may find you get more bees with honey than vinegar. Do you carry?" He asked, his gaze settling onto Amanda Waller, who sat one aisle over with her eyes looking out the window towards the ocean and with her weapon straps pronounced on her figure.
Black Canary She went ahead with her carryon and came out of the little restroom clad as the Black Canary. Lynch was already waiting for her. The vacant seat clearly for her. she gave a small smile and sat down. She gave him a pointed look as he said she was cynical, clearly not liking his hint that she would drive herself to lonliness by doing so. "I haven't said a word. I was invited in a rather... round about way. If you know me as well as you claim, you know I'm a team player. If a friendship comes along, I'm not going to turn away. But I have already met one member of this crew and the dull ache in my leg is making want to jump up and hug him." she nodded as he spoke aobut how they all had histories and wanting to help kids, save for Slade, or at least Lynch left that out. It was kind of eerie that his discussion had mirrored her thoughts a little... "I do not claim to be better than anyone. And never will, not my style." (c)
As he asked his question she followed his gaze to Waller. She was kind of cute in a tough bird kind of way. Her weapon straps were kind of... suggestive with how they hugged her curves. And they let everyone know she was 'packing'. "No, I don't carry. I don't usually need a gun."
"I would consider the pain in your leg a reminder that he could've ran it through your throat instead...But I don't see the glass as half empty or half full, I see it as without purpose...And don't feign yourself as victim. You're not some damsel, you are here because you wanted to be here. You know as well as I do, there was only one way to get on this ship and save those hostages and this was it. Should Mr. Wilson be angered that you were attempting to deceive him to gain passage on this flight?" Lynch paused and let the sharpness of his words sink in before continuing.
"Everyone can play the victim card, Canary. Everyone can choose to hold a gun at the person next to them for some wrong that's been done to them. My concern is making you all put down your guns and work together towards a mutual goal that will benefit those hostages."
Black Canary As Lynch said she was trying to play the victim card, she obviously bristled. As he said it again, her fists balled up and she it took her a moment to calm down relax them. "I am not a victim. And I will not let anyone put me in such a postion." she said a bit coldly "And yes he invited me here, he even said I may have to charm my way aboard, without knowing my company, I felt it was needed to be covert and convincing. Misleading is just a tool, for better or worse. I have a mission. I try my best to not let past grudges influence my actions or get in the way of said mission. But that doesn't mean I trust him fully yet with how he has decieved me as well. And you are right, it was fully my choice and still is. And for what it's worth it's an admirable goal to get us all to work together, I have had my share on making disfunctional teams work, especially lately..." she said with a small smile. "Do you have any other concerns Mr. Lynch?"
"I have no other concern to address you with...There is a matter of compensation, though. Is there something you need or want?" It was at this point that Steve Trevor stepped out of the cockpit to address the plane as he walked towards the hatch to the plane. "Alright people better lock and load." Steve pulled out his M1911 pistol and cocked it before holstering it onto his hip. A submachine gun was wrapped around his neck, the P90 had a silencer attached to it giving it a long extended barrel. Slade pulled off his business suit and revealed his suit of armor that required only a mask and his sword. Waller stood up and moved to the hatch to saddle up with a parachute.
Waller's eyes would shift between Deathstroke and Trevor as she spoke. "I recommend Deathstroke go first, fly boy." Steve smirked at Amanda and teased. "Afraid you'll like the view with me in front?" Deathstroke wouldn't wait for either of them as he just walked to the hatch and opened it allowing everyone to grab onto a secure railing. Deathstroke's eye would scan the vast ocean beneath them and then jump out leaping over the wing leaving Trevor in a stunned state. Waller would smirk. "No, he can do that and you can't." Waller stepped out and ducked under the wing grasping the straps of her parachute as she dropped.
Steve would smirk at Dinah and Lynch. "How about you, Blondie?" He smirked seeing her outfit. "Fishnets? Maybe I got invited to the wrong party." Slaphammer would drop out next to descend upon the boat. Lynch would then reach to a container next to him. "Before you take off, take these. They're yours, so keep them." The case was blue, with a yellow canary singing. Inside were two blue Beretta pistols with a yellow canary on each handle. The strap was black leather and contained two magazines in each holster meant to fit around a decent sized bust for women. The box seemed old, but the weapons seemed well kept and clean.
Black Canary She frowned as he mentioned compensation. "You seem to know me well, and you know I do not require compensation for doing the right thing. But if you feel obligated, we can work something out later." These guys were such mercenaries. Not that it was a bad thing. She looked up as one of the pilots joined them. Looking over all the hardware he had strapped to him. They were all armed to the teeth. At least she knew Slade knew covert tactics. Everyone got up and started to get ready for a jump. she noted where Waller found her parachute and grabbed one herself, already putting it on. She smirked a little watching Trevor's banter with Waller and how Slade jumped without a parachute, leaving him speechless for a moment. Only a moment. (c)
The blonde gave a wry smirk as Steve teased her. "To each their own. But don't let the fishnets fool you, multilayer microfiber which is bullet proof. Style is just a bonus." she turned Lynch as he made her pause. She was surprised as he handed her a case, it had her symbol on it. The box seemed old and well used. She tried to see if the symbol was added recently or not. Kind of an odd gift. She opened the box and made a face, guns just for her. The guns were older, but were well kept. As she remembered her father saying when she was a girl about his own guns, 'they just don't make them like they used to'. She found it odd they had canaries on the handle. It even had a nice worn black leather holster, but from the cut and design of it, it was smaller and had a tailored shape, obviouysly to account for being worn by a busty woman. It was if it was made for her. But the age of it.. who was this guy?! and what did these guns mean. Didn't she just tell him she didn't use guns? (c)
She was full of questions, but now was not the time. She let out a sigh and took out holsters and strapped them on, finding it was indeed a perfect fit, no need to even adjust the strap... "Thank you. I shouldn't need them, but just in case right?" she looked over Trevor, as if checking him out... But grabbed his leatherman tool off of him. "I'll return it.Try to keep up." (c)
she teased with a wink and dove out of the plane head first, like an olympic swimmer taking their dive. She counted to herself as she estimated the distance as she ship seemed to roar up at her. She waited for the last moment and pulled her cord. Getting yanked as the canopy abruptly slowed her down. She looked for her new teamates and tugged on her straps for a little control to guide herself towards them. when she was close the knife came out and slice some of her harness, while her other hand undid the other buckles, letting her drop the last 15 feet, allowing her to roll onto the ship unharmed and to jump onto her feet, letting the parachute blow away into the sea, she ducked behind one of the walls on this deck, to join her 'crew'. "What's the plan? take out the guards, while some of us secure the hostages?" (e)
Steve would smirk at Dinah's strong personality, noticing the bomb shell's looks as well brains. "Ohh, I like this one. Do you have a boyfriend?" At which point Black Canary reached to his front pouch and stole his leatherman - which he took as her teasing his manhood piece. "Hey!" He said as she jumped out the plane. He grinned seeing her dive and soon he mimicked her drop but he ejected his parachute sooner than she. Grabbing onto the handles on each side to control his parachute glider steering himself towards the bridge of the ship where Waller and Slaphammer were heading.
//Slaphammer would crouch and ready his beretta pistol with a silencer on its barrel as he thought about Caitlin before giving Trevor and Waller a thumbs up that he was ready for their next move.
// Deathstroke landed and that gaze of intense instinct paused as he listened to the hairs on his skin underneath his armor. As a man approached, he jumped out to slice the Yakuza man across the throat before waving the blade to splash the blood onto the floor and off his katana. Deathstroke opted for the katana for this part leaving his Great Sword holstered on his back while his pistols were at his sides and his folding staff on his lower back. He didn't need to look at Black Canary, his senses could feel the change in the wind as her Parachute got closer, his ears would hear her rolling land at 15 ft. An impressive feat for a human, but Deathstroke knew she wasn't just a regular human.
"The children are probably below deck." He whispered while holstering his sword as he examined the cargo ship's large size and the containers on the deck. Deathstroke couldn't hear any sign of the kids inside the containers around them and slowly moved from one to another placing his hands on them to feel for vibrations that people would cause if they were inside.
Dinah mulled over Steve's teasing question as they made their way down to the ship;about whether she had a boyfriend. There had been Bard and there was Queen as well... who she admired but was pissed off about at the same time. She thought about the answer she had given him before taking a dive. "It's complicated." Which was a bit too true for her.
The Wall was already crouched next Slaphammer, she was glancing about, pistols in her hands. But she was doing more than just sizing up the situation, she was sizing up the people. She could read people better than anyone. She knew that Canary was a bit pissy for being on the same side with Slade, but that she was burying that as well as possible. She was one of the good guys, but that was a risk too, would she go far enough? She knew that Slaphammer was ready to take care of people the way he wish he could have for his daughter. She watched Deathstroke execute a man before he could even think of sounding an alert. She let Deathstroke use his skills to determine if there were any kids up here. That would be too easy. She opened up her utility belt and took out two round devices, bombs with magnetic backings. She said quietly to Deathstroke. "Which ones have ammunition? can you smell it? Might be good to have insurance."
Dinah watched as Deathstroke sliced a man's throat like a hot knife through butter. If he was fighting someone other that her or Oliver Queen, that was likely a good thing, she had to remind herself of that. Steve landed beside her, she nodded to the others. She thought over the possibilities. "Two go for the captain and stop the boat? Two others go for the children? One follows at a distance to protect our backs?" she glanced at Slade. "I take it you would be the best at finding the children?"
The teams were split up, Major Trevor, The Wall, and Slaphammer were tasked with taking the Bridge, Steve was competent in steering the boat whilst Waller and Slaphammer secured his area. Deathstroke and Black Canary were tasked with finding the "precious cargo." As the two teams split up with Canary and Deathstroke on the aft of the ship and Waller's team just behind the forward cabin - a three story tall construct to house the Bridge and radar system.
Deathstroke would explain to Canary. "It's a big ship. Don't get lost, its your call if you want to split up or follow my lead. Just don't slow me down." As Canary realized how dangerous Deathstroke was, it would occur to her that the arrow he drove through her ankle easily could've been directed elsewhere. When he had fought Black Canary and Green Arrow he was toying with both of them. When he spoke to Dinah, even now, there was an element of respect as always. It was a contrast to Oliver and it echoed what Slade had told Dinah when they first met. 'Oliver Queen has a way of hurting everyone around him.' Little did Oliver know that his personality was playing right into Deathstroke's plan; when Oliver alienated and pushed away Black Canary it left him with one less ally and one more relationship to tax Queen's troubled mind.
// Steve gave a nod to Waller and Slaphammer, prompting Slaphammer to push into the stairwell and begin scaling the steel staircase leading up to the bridge. Steve followed keeping his head low and his P-90 aimed forward. He heard loud snapping from Slaphammer's pistol along with a sloppy splat of oil greasing the bullets in the silencer. When Steve got to the bridge, five Yakuza men were lying about on the floor as he went to a control console to look at the course and direction. "Alright, give me a moment, I didn't think the controls would be in Japanese...or Mandarin." Steve said that last part under his breath as he wasn't sure which dialect it was he was trying to read.
//Slaphammer would pick up a body and analyze it. "Huh, strange for Yakuza...Waller, check this out." Slaphammer pulled at their hand to reveal a strange marking on them of a demon's head with a strange scar shaped "LA". "Yakuza and demons?"
Canary sighed as it seemed that Deathstroke was indeed going to go after the children first while the others sought to stop the ship. She made a face as Deathstroke hinted he thought she would get lost. She knew that Deathstroke was good at what he did. Every move was so skilled it was a choice of effort. If he wanted her dead, she was sure he could have done it several times since they met. He was respectful to a point, like Oliver he was also rather full of himself, but he could easily back it up.
Waller went off with Steve and Slaphammer. She placed her bombs on a couple of shipping crates along the way. Her remote detonater in safe mode, for now. As she moved she could hear Slaphammer cleaning up house before they could join him on the bridge. She smoothly went about the corners, keeping watch of their tails until she joined them. She looked over the controls and smirked. "Starter. Thrust. Weapon's system. Fuel gage. Knots. oil pressure. Engine temp. Remind me later to thank my mother for 12 years of Japanese, mandarin, and korean." she said as she pointed to weapon's system. Apparently this ship had been a big hack job to get all they wanted in it. She frowned as the scarred marking was shown. "A sign of allegience and partnership, likely. It means that these kids are going to be heavily guarded."
Canary followed Deathstroke down into the belly of the ship, keeping guard of their backs. "You have incredible hearing right? so you know what to do, if you hear me take a deep breath?" she asked.
Deathstroke trailed along the narrow stairs into the belly of the steel beast and stopped when he heard foot steps that weren't his or Canary's. Two fingers would come level his his nose before he grabbed hold of a pipe above the stairs and then slid down it partially before kicking off the wall opposite to the door. His large frame seemed nimble in these tight spaces as he slipped and whipped around like he was 5'2" and 120 lbs with acrobatic training. The noise from him came from a bang of his boot striking the wall, but as the two men heard the thump, they were caught off guard by it and then the sudden leaping hulk that appeared before them. Those two fingers raised and a folded palm struck one in the nostril knocking them to the ground with a thump as their head hit the floor behind them dazing them. Slade kicked off the hull and spun again to slam the second yakuza's head into the bulkhead knocking them out. "I'll put in ear plugs." He replied, sarcastically. He took offense to her question, as if he didn't research her before engaging her and Green Arrow.
It was in that moment machine gun fire would spark around Deathstroke prompting a few bullets to crackle against his backplate before he could tumble behind a bulkhead.
// "Slade? This is unexpected." Lady Shiva spoke across the hall as two Yakuza held their fire waiting for Deathstroke.
// Slaphammer nodded. "Allegiances, Yakuza--...Get down!" Slaphammer shouted before rolling behind a console as five League of Assassin appeared in front of the bridge windows with machine guns. Alex saw Steve drop to the floor as glass and sparks flew throughout the room. In an instant the firing stop and the assassins vanished. Alex looked around for all the of entrances to the bridge - the windows being the most prominent entrance they could jump through. "What the hell are they?! Ninjas?"
Canary found it weird to see a guy as big and burly as Deathstoke so easily bend and flip about the pipes and the tight ship. Almost as nimbly as she could move. Dinah leapt and slid down the pipe too. "Don't get ideas." she whispered as slid down. she halted her descent as Slade lept off the pole took out the men. Then there was gun fire and she saw him dodging out of the way. Dinah grabbed some of the pipes above the doorway and rotated herself so she was doing a handstand above the door. waiting for the next person to get close to the door way, ready to swing in and give them two boots right to the face. She heard the conversation, Lady Shiva... nice, just who she wanted to meet again. Remembering their stalemate and how sore she had been left last time.
As Waller went over the controls with her two new teammates, she only heard a footstep before she lunged towards a wall of the small bridge, pressing up against it. Glad the door was locked at least. She was at a bad angle, but she made a couple angled shots to ricochet towards the now broken window of the bridge. she sallied up to one of them, and did a few shots. "Yes, exactly. Take a window keep an eye out and send a few shots out, reserve your ammo. I think it's time to shake things up." She dashed and slid to be behind the control panel and pulled down on the lever for the speed control, making the ship go faster, she then gave a sharp tug on the wheel to make everything and everyone lurch and slide to the right side of the ship.
Alex and Steve took shelter as Amanda took to listing the ship to the starport side. Steve would jest. "Who cares if they're damn ninjas, they're trying to kill us, so kill them." Steve would reach to the controls and take them from Waller. "I got it from here." the major said.
// Alex would ready his beretta and aim towards the windows searching for the ninjas. He thought about his daughter -- Caitlyn once more. 'Caitlyn, my baby girl...I'm coming for you. These monsters can't keep us apart forever.' His day dream would have him distracted when a ninja throwing star flew past his head and stabbed into the bulkhead behind him, Alex thought he dodged a bullet, when he felt the sharp pain in his bicep and abs where shurikens had pierced through his kevlar and tactical suit to stab directly into him. He fell down behind cover and grunted as he could feel himself bleeding.
// Steve would snap at Alex; "Slaphammer! You alive?" Steve ducked behind the controls with his right hand grabbing onto his P90 to aim into the windows. The ninjas were quick and dodging, but Steve would notice something particular. He'd grit his teeth and say to Waller. "They're really quiet, fast, and more dangerous than us...Why don't they just finish us off? It's like they're trying to keep us contained."
// Deathstroke could hear Black Canary's heartbeat and smell the warm barrels from the submachine guns aiming down the hall. "Canary, I have my own cry." He called out to her as all she would see rolling across the floor past the doorway she was in was a grenade with a gray casing. A loud explosion would occur, but the destruction didn't occur as the two yakuza henchmen were clinging to their ears and crawling on the ground while their eyes were blinded. Lady Shiva would have retreated again prompting Deathstroke to point aftward. "Shiva is heading towards the back of the ship. I would suggest we stick together and go for the cargo instead. She's not our mission." He pulled out his pistol and shot behind him the two yakuza men directly in the head to end their misery from the flashbang grenade.
Feeling the ship beginning to list to the starport side, Deathstroke's right arm would grab onto the pipes overhead while his left arm reached out to hook onto Black Canary's waist if she lost her balance from the sudden turn sending the ship into rocky situation. "Damn fools, they're gonna tip the boat over before we get to the kids!" Deathstroke growled in anger.
Dinah rolled her eyes from her high vantage point at Slade's remark. It seemed the henchmen and Shiva were staying put, not willing to get close to Slade. She wondered if they even knew she was there yet. But deathstroke's bowling with flashbangs was enough to take both guys out. She flipped down from the pipe and followed behind Deatstroke, keeping watch behind them as they walked down the hall of the ship. "No, she isn't..." she sighed as Deathstroke killed the men, obvioiusly he saw this as mercy, she thought it was harsh. But she wasn't an assasin she tried to save life.
And then the whole ship started to list heavily and while she was quick to try to balance herself, she felt a strong arm wrap about her waist and hold her in place, as she dangled in midair for the moment. Dinah put her arm out on the far wall for balance and let Slade hold her... her heart rate speeding up just a little bit. "I'm sure they have a reason... let's do our job." she started to walk on the crooked floor as they made their way down the hall. At least they had each other to balance out each other, in more ways than the sloped floor.
Amanda gave a quick nod as Steve took the controls and used the sloped floor to slide towards the door. she had both of her pistols drawn and did a few shots to keep the ninjas back. She pressed hard against wall as she saw a throwing star and shuriken go through the window. she fired through it immedietly trying to hit the ninja.
"I think they are more worried about us helping our allies." she replied to Steve. She checked on Slaphammer who was bleeding. "I don't know if they cut anything deep, but we should leave that in, Steve give him your jacket to wrap about the blade and keep the blood from seeping out. We don't have time to do much medic work... I'm going detonate one of my charges then go out the door, the distraction should be me enough time to get out without getting knifed. If one of you could cover me by a window I will try to start taking these idiots out. I'll try to draw them out as well." she grabbed her detonator, took the safety off and selected the first explosive and hit the button, opening the bolt on the door and sliding out about the corner, hardlyh opening the door, her curves just sliding through the small gap.
Deathstroke did see the killing as merciful and not just to the selfish impulses of the two men suffering -- the world was better off without gangsters like them running human trafficking operations. He challenged the idea that 'the law' international, American, or Japanese would do anything significant to punish these men for their crimes. Never the less, most of his team seemed to accept Deathstroke's way of doing things because they needed him more than he needed them. A seller's market, than John Lynch couldn't afford to lose.
When they arrived in the cargo bay, they would see large glass boxes with children dressed in white robes and pants, they sat on the floor, Deathstroke would count 4 large boxes with about 12 children in each. Yakuza had 2 men patrolling the ground floor with the boxes, but heard something else. "I hear heartbeats...A dozen different ones." His gaze looked into the large cargo bay and saw no sign of where the heartbeats were located. "They're hiding in the shadows." From the position, they could see both a basement level and an observation post overlooking the glass boxes. 7 men were noticeably in the observation post above, one such man, Kurt Lance sat in a chair wearing blue jeans and a white dress shirt while handcuffed behind his back. The rest of the men were wearing white lab coats. "Looks like we have two avenues and 12 men between us and the objectives." His right arm would release the pipes he was holding onto and he'd gesture to the gun sling she was carrying around her bust. "You might want to use those here...The pistols, I'm referring to." Deathstroke said with a confident form of flirty behavior since his arm around her waist made her chest more pronounced to both Black Canary and Deathstroke equally.
Steve would nod taking off his jacket and moving to Slaphammer to triage the wound. Alex would grunt and growl. "I-I need to save Caitlyn! Son of a bitch!" // Steve would growl back at Alex. "You're not saving her if you're a dead man. Keep your head in the game. We just need to keep the bridge clear so I can steer us back to U.S waters to the Coast Guard." He raised his P90 once more and began to cover Waller as the explosion occurred and he searched for the ninja's, he spotted a few moving and shot but he didn't look like any of them were hit, he leaned over a console to keep his eyes peeled watching Waller's blind spots, though admittedly, Steve had his own problems with over a dozen blind spots and several points of attack that could come at him.
A ninja would land behind him and from some miracle, Trevor would hear them and threw his elbow backwards smashing into the ninja forcing them to drop their ninja sword. Steve released his P90 and drew his M1911 pistol to aim at the ninja and spoke "Stand down! Don't make me kill you!" The ninja would reach to their belt only to receive a single shot from Steve Trevor to their heart causing them to drop to the ground limp. "Clear!" Trevor called out to signal the room was free of danger once more.
Dinah stayed in the large man's grasp as they propped each other up as they looked into the cargo bay which lay a floor below them and the observation post across the way and above them. Hearing Deathstroke's sizing up of their situation. Giving a quite nod. As he talked about her needing to use something she saw him gesturing and it seemed to be right at her chest, which with how he was holding her was giving them a good look at her sizable cleavage. "Sure you are..." she said with a smirk, arching her back slightly to tease him back. she grabbed her new pistols from their holsters. She didn't like having to use guns, but she knew how to use one. The guns had slight wear to them, like they were used a lot... and oddly it made them so they fit in her hands better. As if she had carried them for years... "I take right, you take left? tell me where they are and we can quietly take the hidden ones out, then meet on the far side and go up to the observation deck? Looks like mostly scientists. I'm sure if we take out their buddy, they will stand down."
The special ops woman slid with her back against the wall of the building for the bridge, hearing the roar of her explosion and the fire of the crate, watching to see if anyone would take care of it. She stayed close to the window over here waiting for a ninja to slide into view. she saw a few bullets come from Steve and waited a bit longer. her guns at the ready. When she saw movement she would fire. It was a precision kill shot. Waiting to see if someone else would pop up. She grimaced as she heard a shot coming from the bridge, sliding closer to the corner and keeping an eye on the deck and the window, ready to take another guy out. (e)
Slade's smirk would be hidden underneath his two-toned helmet, with her being on his left side he would be able to see her clearly and now she was taking his advice to use the pistols. Did she know about the pistols? But her mother and father? What else was Lynch hiding from Black Canary? Deathstroke considered how he could use this to manipulate the woman because as it stood thus far, he had no personal vendetta against her and she was merely a barrier preventing him from dealing with Oliver Queen. "Sounds like a plan." He stated simply. He would be prepared to watch this Dinah Lance; how much of her was Dinah Drake and Kurt Lance and how much was Wildcat, Deathstroke was looking forward to seeing the woman unrestrained from 'no killing' and 'no guns.' "Three, above." he stated gesturing with his right hand pointing up.
Much to Deathstroke and Black Canary's soon to be surprise, the League of Assassin ninja's were waiting with baited breath, when both would enter the room, they would pounce to strike, six ninja's landing before them with swords drawn as to halt Black Canary and Deathstroke's advance further into the room.
Deathstroke fired a shot killing one ninja with a direct headshot clean and smooth, but a metal club would swoosh throw through the air and smash Deathstroke's pistol out of his hand as two more ninja's jumped into the fight. Slade would state "11 more to go." Reaching to his back he pulled out his own twin tachi blades and swung to parry the ninja's dual wielding the blades to parry incoming strikes, spinning and flipping with his body, he jumped and dodged several sword strikes from the assassins, and parried other strikes allowing him to strike quickly and into their vulnerabilities. By this time, the children in the glass boxes would turn their rescuers.
The big mercenaries smirk would be unseen by the blonde, but she could hear a slight smile as he seemed ready for their fight and her plan. She knew this guy held a grudge against Ollie, but at least he seemed to respect her, even if he didn't agree with her beliefs. But as soon as they entered the room they were greeted by ninjas. So much for them having the upper hand with stealth, they were being waited for.
Dinah fired with both pistols hitting the upper arm and shoulder of two of the ninjas in front of her, aiming for their dominant arms, hoping to make them drop their weapons or make it harder for them to use them. She then rushed in and kicked the middle one hard in the gut with her gun before whipping up with her pistol to hit him in the chin. She dodged a couple of blade swipes. Fired at a fourth. She clearly had the grace of Dinah Drake, the skill of hand to hand of Wildcat, and the tactical mind of a detective/officer. Someone landed behind her, elbow to gut, gun barrel to face. Dinah wasn't making kill shots not yet, but she was making sure she made as much damage and pain as possible so they wouldn't be a threat.
Deathstroke would catch glimpses of Dinah's fighting style, she was aiming to cripple and weaken them, Deathstroke wouldn't be so weak as he parried an incoming blade before catching another with both of his, twisting and pushing his brute force into the ninja only to twist and chop off the arms of the ninja causing them to scream in agony before swinging to decapitate the screaming man in the same clean sweep that would stab another ninja attempting to flank Deathstroke. Retracting his blade, he spun on his heels and then jumped into the bulkhead to vault off of it and land next to the glass boxes, he swung his sword to cut into it only for the blade to stop cold in its tracks. "Reinforced glass. It's explosive resistant, even. There must be a control panel around here that will open the doors to the cages." He reported out loud to Black Canary as three ninjas came to corner him. Swinging his dual tachi swords he caused them to spread out and try to circle him and as they thought they gained the opportunity to surround him they really gave Deathstroke what he desired -- sequestering them from one another.
He parried one blade before throwing his shoulder into the ninja smashing them into a wall, another came to decapitate Slade's head, but he leaned backwards prompting the ninja's blade to chop off the other ninja's head. The deception would cause a moment of pause that was fatal. Deathstroke's 2nd blade would stab the second ninja in the kidney and puncture their stomach. The third ninja would kick Deathstroke in the face causing The Terminator to drop his swords and crash into the wall before hitting the floor himself. The blade stabbed down into Deathstroke's shoulder causing him to grunt in anguish, this served to piss off the mercenary. His hands grabbed the flat edges of the ninja sword and forced them out of his shoulder as the two strained their physical prowess against one another, the Ninja would inevitably win aiming to stab his blade into Deathstroke's heart, shoulder, or chest unless Deathstroke did something to turn the tide. His boots would slam against the ground for leverage and launch him into a back flip that wasn't intent on being completed, instead Slade wanted the momentum in his foot to clock the ninja in the head causing them to reel full speed into the bulkhead head first.
The ninja crashed into the wall with a loud thump of flesh and bone against iron and steel.
