Lois Lane: It wasn’t hard to hear him yelling after her, but she ignored it, just like she ignored the phones ringing off the hook on the floor, the televisions going, broadcasting the press conference and the people who tried talking to her. Moving into her office she closed the door gently and with purpose then moved passed Clark’s desk, to her own and flopped down heavily in her chair. Reaching up she pinched the bridge of her nose to try and push back the headache. “Let him rot, he said.” Lois closed her eyes. “Not like it would be what I’d choose for someone who tends to save the world.” Taking in a deep breath she exhaled and forced herself to relax, it would be easier if he was kidnapped, if he hadn’t let them take him, if someone went to rescue him he would actually leave. Suddenly she opened her eyes and stood, grunting as the hem of her blouse caught in her chair and she stumbled a bit. -c-
Lois Lane: Turning, Lois ran out from her office and back to Perry’s, flinging the window wide as she yelled after him. “Hey! Hey you, Sparky!” Underground, he said, did he know where Superman was? Perry stared at her. “Lane?“ Taking a deep breath she yelled after him again. “HEY!”-e-
Captain Marvel: He slows down coming to a stop and sighed after having failed to contact anyone again. But someone might still answer. In the meantime though, She was yelling at him again. He couldn't hear her very well but she was trying to get his attention with the window open. He flew back towards her and stopped crossing his arms. "Yes Ms Lane? And I have a name. Captain Marvel but what else can I help you with?" he stayed pleasant this time though, not making any smart ass comments about how she might like to expose his idenity to the world or maybe lock him up somewhere.
Lois Lane: Lois waited, leg bouncing she her knee knocked lightly against the wall as she hung half out of the window, watching his return. “I’m sorry I was rude to you earlier.” She started, it was rushed, maybe half hearted, but the apology wasn’t what she had in mind, what she had in mind was what he knew. “You’re looking for other members of the Justice League right? You want to save Superman.” Not knowing exactly what was going on was killing her, but if she could just get the fact, blow open the story and put whoever was behind this to shame, maybe there was a chance for his release. “Captain Marvel,” Saying his name in a way that promoted respect she continued. “You said Superman was underground, do you know where?” It was a long shot, the whole thing was but it was one she was willing to take. “Take me with you, wherever you’re going and I’ll explain some things along the way. We can trade information, and see if we can’t just save the Man of Steel ourselves.”
Captain Marvel: He shakes his head. "Superman draws his powers from the sun. So I am assuming whoever is behind this,Either Luthor or that sketchy Cadmus, has him underground to keep his powers isolated. But he's Superman, so he could have broken out of there if he had wanted to become Most wanted man on Earth. And No I don't know where to find him but I know someone who might be able to find him quickly. Hold on just a minute to that thought though." He presses his ear piece again trying to get a direct line, but it was pretty much open to everyone who had one of those fancy things. "Flash? This is Captain Marvel, I am not sure if you've been following the news but I could use your help. And Ms Lane too."
Lois Lane: Unfortunately he wasn’t telling her anything new until she heard the name Cadmus, it sounded familiar. Wracking her tired brain she decided to give it a rest for a moment, at least Sparky here knew that Superman couldn’t get bust out, or be broken out of wherever he was being contained, it was one less thing for her to have to explain. Opening her mouth to speak she went silent as he pressed his ear piece and simply listened. As he said the name Flash she leaned a bit more against the window and continued to wait, she was sure to hear it from everyone, about what she did to Wonder Woman, but it wasn’t without reason, and it wasn’t meant to be vindictive no matter if Diana thought that or not.
Barry Allen: Barry Allen sat at home. With all of the news, the television was unbearable to watch. Superman was in prison. And for what? Nothing made sense. Diana had seemed to be the only one safe from prison bars. To be honest, Barry thought about calling it quits. He looked to his phone, and two names stood out specifically. One name. Iris West. If he continued this. he could possibly endanger her. He was conflicted as ever. What brought on more confliction was wondering why Superman didn't stand up for himself. The entire Justice League knew of Superman's innocence. However, the Scarlet Speedster threw on his costume. He thought he should atleast discuss it with his friends. Someone he trusted. Some stubborn man, who put fear in those who prayed on the innocent. While, back in his uniform, the Flash made a beeline for Gotham, it was just that moment, when his communicator came alive, with Captain Marvels voice. "Flash here. You.. and Ms Lane? Where are you? I'll be there in a Flash."
Barry Allen: Quickly, he slammed on the brakes, and turned, righting himself, and heading for Metropolis. He made it there, in a flash. A moment or two, of silence was heard on the communicator, as Barry had arrived on the scene with the pair. Marvel himself hovering out of the window. "So, lets go over what we know. Clearly. There's a set up a foot. (it's totally Bane. I blame him.) If Superman is in prison. They won't tell us where. So, we're gonna have to find him. Maybe he has an idea who's behind this." Barry then struck a thought. "They wouldn't have Superman in a normal prison. He'd have to be in a science lab of some sort. No prison could normally hold the Man of Steal. "Lois.. can you look up to see if any labs have any sort of odd requistion orders for anything unusual. Trust your instincts. It's a cop secret."

‘Idiot…What were you thinking?’ -The Batwing flew through the rush of a waterfall, water splashing upon the hull of the vessel, the large vehicle spun in a circle until finally it settled down upon a landing pad. The vehicle bobbed up and down as its weight came to rest upon the landing gears. – ‘The last person on Earth who needs to be studied and experimented on…’-The cockpit opened and lifted forward allowing Batman to stand up and climb down the ladder along the side of the cockpit. Batman approached a long catwalk leading towards the batcomputer, as Batman sat down he sat down at the computer and began observing his computer screen.- ‘The most *powerful* being on the planet is taken down by his own volition…Your ego is bigger than I thought, Superman. You’re conditioned by society to think you’re unstoppable…Now I see that…’ “Sir, have you any news regarding Superman?” <c>
-Batman lowered his head and then gazed at Alfred from the corner of his helmet.- “…No…” –Alfred held his hands folded into each other.- “Mr. Harold is working on the Batpod, sir.” –Batman didn’t speak at all, and continued typing.- ‘…Your greatest weakness is your faith in humanity…Faith in people…News flash, Superman. We’re *not* all John Wayne or Vera Miles…We’re all not out to do the *right* thing. We do this for Justice…You should know that people like Luthor would sell their souls for a quarter of what you can do…’
Deathstroke: -Doctor Fate was within the Tower of Fate, his home and sancuary. He had chosen to let the Superman matter rest aslong as Clark did not wish to escape. Fate understood his reasoning but he had seen what the government could do toDeathstroke: Super Hero teams, Especially ones with beings like Clark. He remembered the JSA. He remembered all the hell they went through. He had expected the Justice League to mount an assault against the ones who had taken him. The Helmet laid to the side"For once we agree Nabu." -Across the country The converted Cadmus based was a place where they could hold Super beings. Black Jack was currently located in Lincoln's Office." So How long are we gonna keep him here, I mean not many people could just break out of here when they want.Superman could walk through the whole Razors team and walked out and he doesn't even try." Lincoln looked to Black Jack. " Until we are told differently."
Zatanna Z: She shifted down in the chair slightly, books resting upon her knees as she puffed a bit of hair off from in front of her eyes. The scent of spice lingered in the air, and it was something she had become used to after years of visiting the tower.... though, admittedly the times that she usually spent there before had been shifting her feet and waiting impatiently for her father to finish up whatever he'd been called there to work on. She was still as impatient now, yes, but this was her own research. "No....." She mumbled quietly as a gesture of her fingers closed the book before her, and with another few movements she floated the tome back to its original location. This had been the pattern for the day for her; she had spent hours in Fate's library, because other than her own, there was no mystical library that could even come close to the sheer volume of information.
Zatanna Z: There was a shake in her shoulders when the voice cut through her thoughts, and her eyes ripped themselves away from the pages to look at him. The tower was overwhelming to those who weren't used to it, and even what little bit that she had become accustomed to the expanse, Zatanna found herself relieved to know that he could sill find her. "I do not intend to." She replied simply as she moved her fingers through another one of the books. "Knowledge." The simple word was vague enough, but she continued a moment later, "Focus... ways to slowly train myself away from the hinderances within my father's casting technique...I'm not foolish, I know that relying on logomancy could get me killed."
Deathstroke: "Indeed." He motioned to pull a book out and he said" Perhaps this one will help you." He pulls out an older book from no where. and hands it to her." I am certain you have heard about Superman being arrested by the government. I want you to find Batman, and deliver this message to him. Tell him that I sent you. It is the location of Superman. Something I am certain he has not discovered on his own yet. What he does with the information is up to him and his team."
Zatanna Z: She watched him pull the book from thin air, and raised up from her spot, taking it carefully n her hands and opening the cover immediately. At first, his words fell on deaf ears, but she realized he was still speaking to her. She owed him to listen. "No...no I haven't..." Zatanna had honestly never had a reason to check the news... and well, the fact that superman was arrested was about the only thing that she could honestly say she'd felt like she missed. He extended the note to her, explaining that she should deliver it to Batman.-c-
Zatanna Z: A slight sigh of frustration left her lips- she did not make habit of associating with the costumed heroes... it wasn't something that she went out of her way to do anymore. She worked within the confines of the mysical community, and that was enough for her to be content. Of course, saying no to fate was not something easily done- even if it was just the man sans the helmet. "Absolutely. Deliver the note... and then I can come back here, and study further?" There was a hesitance in her voice- she did not want to overstay her welcome, but it would be torturous to show her a book that could help just to remove her from the tower. -d-
Deathstroke: "Yes nothing further, I am remaining out of this, With the power we have we must do as Superman himself has done. I have no doubts that Batman will try to rescue Superman. He will probably call eveyone he can and rally his soldiers..deliever the message and return as you wish." He moves away from the bookshelf and towards the stairs.
Zatanna Z: Watching as he moved away, Zatanna twisted the note into a smaller form, tucking it into the pocket of her coat before with a quick backward word, she would disappear, and re-emerge from the shadows near wherever Batman was. With nary a moment's pause, the paper was flicked from her pocket and directed toward him. "Message for you. From Fate." If he would take the paper, and did not ask further questions, she would vanish as quickly as she had appeared, intent upon getting back to the tower and diving into whatever knowledge the book he'd provided for her may hold.
-Alfred arrived a mere hour later, Batman was sleeping in his chair in front of the computer, Alfred’s tireless eyes looked down and frowned, the Bat computer revealed connections to LexCorp, Amanda Waller, and various other names that meant nothing to Alfred.- ‘He’s worked tirelessly these past few days…I’m…afraid to tell him the news.’ –Batman suddenly lifted his head, rubbing his eyes he shook off fatigue and began reading the screen once again, his jaw tensing and his eyes narrowing.- “Pardon me, sir…” –Batman turned in his chair to see Alfred.- “Yes, Alfred?” –Alfred’s hands held one another, crossed in front of him.- “I’m afraid two more of the bats have fallen to their vanquisher.” –Batman stared for a moment.- “Oh…the disease…How…How could I have forgotten? Damn!” -Alfred waved his hand gently.- “No, no…It’s not your fault sir…” –Batman looked at the screen and waved dismissively.- <c>
“I’ve been reading conspiracy websites, government documents, files, and folders…Nothing has given me a lead as to where Superman is located…I’ve been so distracted worrying about him that I forgot about my other cases…A detective never allows his personal life to get in the way of his work.” –Alfred came to place a hand on Batman’s shoulder.- “Forgive me sir…I am not a novelist nor a detective…but I know comradeship…Sherlock Holmes would not be as successful had he decided to go on without his partner and *friend* Doctor Watson…” -Batman’s gaze lingered on Alfred. Batman took a moment before looking at the computer.- “I’ll search for a cure on the bats…” –Alfred lowered his head.- “I’m sure Superman will turn up, sir.” –Batman nodded.- “Until then, I’ll change what I can. Superman’s case is not over…I will find him.”
-It was then Batman heard the sound of something behind him that he stood up clutching his fists, his appearance stood tall, and his back straight with his head titling his chin down, a slight bend in his neck. His cape opened in the front to reveal his belt, a yellow Kevlar utility harness with multiple pockets. Upon spotting Zatanna he released the tension in his hands and approached her.- “What is it?” –Batman said to her, as he took the paper to examine it.-
Zatanna Z: She surrendered the paper to him easily, watching as the tension in his body shifted when he'd realized that she wasn't a threat. "Fate...is giving you as much help as he gives the rest of us." There was a quick moment where she'd considered saying that it was about the Superman situation- but that would have been involving herself more than Fate had told her to do so. 'Nothing further' he'd said. Deliver the note and nothing further. Not to mention, she was eager to get back to that book and her studies.
“Fate…?” –Batman held a bit of aggression in his voice, but that was tempered as he realized that Doctor Fate worked in mysterious ways. Batman nodded firmly at Zatanna.- “Give him my appreciation. I’ll put his work to good use…Goodbye, Zee.” –Batman turned around and approached the Batcomputer, placing the paper on the scanner to make a digital copy of it. Upon creating it he began to look over the details of it. Batman’s eyes lit up as he understood what it meant. Immediately Batman pressed a button to open communication with the Watchtower.- “Batman to Watchtower…I need a strike team ready to go in ten minutes…”
Captain Marvel: Marvel was relaxing in one of the many rooms that the new Watchtower had. He sat up after a moment and went back out to the main control room when he heard Batman calling the tower. He walked over it and pressed the flashing button talking into the small mic. "Batman, this is Marvel, what's up? Did you find Superman? And what is the strike team for?"
Zatanna Z: There was a nod, acknowledgement of the fact that he had referred to her as 'Zee', a nickname she had not heard in years. "Best of luck." A tip of the hat, ticking of two fingers, a quiet word, and she vanished from the location once more, leaving behind no proof that she'd been there. When she reappeared, the libraries of Fate curled around her. She lifted the book once more, sliding back into the chair she'd been occupying for most of the day, and beginning to study the book.
-Batman listened to Captain Marvel’s voice.- ‘Captain Marvel…His strength, speed, and durability will help.’ “Captain, I believe I’ve found Superman. Assemble, whoever is available and prepare for an assault. I’ll get topside and beam onto the Watchtower…Batman out.” –Batman stood up and removed his utility belt; the detective kit designed for infiltration and subtly was no longer needed. Hanging up the belt he pulled off a third row of hung up belts, an assault belt meant for breaking through heavy security locations, offensive capabilities against meta-humans and mutated humans like Killer Croc. His equipment was also specialized in combating Government agents, vehicle and computer passcodes and encryption devices. Batman slipped his cryptographic sequencer from his previous belt and attached it onto his current belt. In seconds Batman made his way to the surface and was beamed directly onto the Watchtower.-
Captain Marvel: He blinks softly and scratches his head confused at what Batman just told him to do. He didn't notice Batman beam onto the tower as he was currently trying to open up all the communication lines on the ear piece comms. "Ah. There it is." He pressed a button and opened up a secure line to any members who had a line to the Tower. "This is Captain Marvel, Batman has called everyone who can make it to the Watchtower. It is important. Probably shouldn't say why so just head up here and Batman will explain it." he turns the line off and goes over to greet Batman. "Alrigh, Batman. First of all, how the heck did you find him, and second why would we want to assault the facility he is in? Or well I am guessing you want to rescue him, but...is that really a wise choice? Breaking into a Cadmus facility?"
-Batman stood before the briefing room as the Justice League team formed, Batman listened to Billy’s question, while standing in front of a large computer screen, a blueprint of a generic building lay-out. A satellite imagery would then give everyone a real overhead view of the real facility.- (Conroy) “Captain Marvel, defying or assaulting world governments is nothing *new* to us. Our Job is to maintain peace in the world. The government has crossed the line taking Superman into custody and attempting to take Wonder Woman as well. I wanted to keep the Justice League a secret for *this* very purpose. It was only a matter of time until we became a threat to their regimes.<c>
“Our job will be to infiltrate the facility and rescue Superman. Considering we’re working with the team available not the team we would like…Our reinforcements are very unlikely. Our plan is to create a distraction outside the facility, approximately 1 mile from the facility. Captain Marvel and Black Canary will create the distraction. Captain you will be in the open creating the distraction. Canary You’ll be nearby using the stealth settings on the Javelin to land and remain out of sight. I will head into the facility and locate Superman…There is an important bottom line to all of this; No one gets killed, understood? Any questions?”
Black Canary: Black Canary smiles. "I'm sorry I didn't get this in the briefing, what is Superman being imprisoned for? what did they list as the cause?" She is writing ina notepad and nibbles the end of her pen. "If we need to get in to look around a bit I can deliver some flowers." she smirks. "But yes I can park the Javelin and wait."
Captain Marvel: Thinks a moment and crosses his arms. "Well I am new to the whole assaulting Government buildings thing. Thanks for bringing me up to speed. Where are these coordniates located anyway? I don't kill anyone Bats, you know that. Even if they - really- should be. What do you suggest I make a distraction with Batman. Got anything on your fancy toolbelt I can use?"
-Batman nodded to Captain Marvel.- “The location is in the middle of the Mojave desert. I’m sure a few lightning bolts, tremors, and sandstorms will grab attention. “ –Batman shifted his gaze to Black Canary.- “We still don’t know…I intend to find out while I’m inside looking for him. Any other questions?” –Batman adjusted his back and shoulders to reinforce his posture, his fists clutched before he grabbed the bracers of his suit to tighten the gloves and gauntlets.- “If my plan is correct, I will be the only one at risk here.”
We knew that if we started acting as an organization that our world governments would become fearful of our power. It’s too late now to turn back the clock. If *any* of you doubt what we are about to do; I suggest you stay here, but I challenge you to think about one thing…What *if* the government…*any* government, knew everything there is to know about you; your weaknesses, your loved ones, your family, your strengths, everything.“ –Batman was dramatic, emphasizing his words while maintaining a deep voice to explain the magnitude of the situation. Truth was, Batman didn’t know what condition Superman was in, but Superman’s weakness wasn’t isolated to the knowledge of Lex Luthor and Batman.<c>
Batman knew this and it was his key focal point for encouraging others to assist.- “We will have four primary objectives within this assault. The enemy defense force, the VIP, Facility Database, and extraction. Flash, your mission would be to infiltrate their mainframe and wipe out their hard drives using a virus that I will give you. Once the virus has wrecked havoc on their systems, I want you to destroy the physical evidence of the database.”
Black Canary: Black Canary nods. "Yes makes sense. And if it is legit, I would be very curious as to what he's been up to." she smirks, making a note. "Well, you be careful Batman. If you need help, just page us." she stands up getting ready to go.
Priss: Entering the room where Superman was being kept holding a can of soda. She tossed the can through the cell towards him” Catch!” she pops the tab on her own can and sips it.”How are you holding up Big Guy? I know it’s not Kryptonian food or whatever..not really sure what you eat? OR if you eat but I was getting thirsty looking at you not eating or drinking.” she takes a seat against the wall.
Captain Marvel: He stands up flexing his arms, hoping this would work for one, and two Superman would be pleased to see them all. They were rescuing Superman who was being held without any reason so getting him out of there would be for the good. What if he stayed here and some powerful villain attacked them? Superman was really needed and this seemed the only option. He did trust Batman's judgement though. "I guess we are as ready as we will ever be, right Black Canary? Are we hopping a ride on the Javalin then seperate once we get there?"
“This is Superman, Canary.” –Batman’s expression was blank, but his tone was almost accusatory of her, subtly his words were saying ‘Do you really think he would do that?’ though in his own mind, Batman had doubt. The very fact Superman surrendered willingly only told Batman the opposite of the scenario. Deductively and historically, law abiding citizens willingly cooperated and were found innocent. Such was the case here in Batman’s eyes. He was suspicious of Superman, untrusting of a man like him to have such power, but that concern was almost silenced by the fact Superman just ‘gave up.’ Batman then began walking towards the staircase to the shuttle platform.- “We’ll take Javelin 3…” –Batman arrived on board and took a seat in the co-pilots position. The white and silver steel of the vessels gave them a pristine appearance. <c>
A ramp underneath the belly along with opening side doors with ramps made the vehicle perfect for extraction and deployment of heroes within the vehicle.- “In case you didn’t do reading on the Javelin, Ferris Airfield made this capable of flight at mach 7, it implements magnetic propulsion technology…” –Batman would fight an inner urge to smirk playfully at Black Canary and her love for speed, but it was restrained by the magnitude of the situation, there wasn’t much wind in the face in these vehicles anyway…-
Superman: He heard Voodoo's heartbeat coming before she showed up, therefore he quickly ended the scenario he was playing out in his head (a game of 3d chess), and turned to look towards her. As the soda came through the cell and towards him, both of his hands raised up due to the full, forearm shackles, and he caught the can. "Thank you," he said softly, shooting the young woman a small smile as he opened the can. Part of him wondered why she kept coming here and if maybe, since she had gotten the largest amount of words from him since his incarceration, that they allowed her to come down in the hopes of getting more from him. "I'm fine. Nothing to complain about," Kal continued to say as he took a sip of the drink. It wasn't true. The Man of Steel wanted to to be out of here... Clark was worried for his family and Kal-El the things that might be attacking now.... maybe even Brainiac. The only consolation that he had was that the rest of the League weren't worrying about him when there-
Superman: were more important things to think about: the Earth and the people.
Black Canary: Black Canary just smirked at Batman's tone, not really caring. She didn't think Superman would do anything that wrong, but if it was, she wouldn't be able to imagine what it would be. But at least he did'nt make a bad situation worse and followed the law. She went along to the Javelin 3 and sat down in the pilots seat. It looked very straight forward, although it had some defenses she wasn't familiar with, but didn't look too complicated, quickly deducing things out. She had done some reading and simulation, but not any real flight yet. She waited to make sure everyone was in. Raised the ramp and then slowly let the ship leave it's dock. Once free. She entered the coordinates from her notepad and smirked at Batman. "Only Mach 7?" She then opened up the engines and sped quickl about the planet and down into the atmosphere at Mach 4, not wanting to do anything too crazy. She slowed down to the speed of a normal jet and activated the stealth settings. (c)
Black Canary: she quickly brought up some screens and maps and pointed. "There is a bluff over here, I am going to put us down on the far side, it's overhang should shield us from above a little as well." She said while flying the javilin like she rode her cycle. She brought it down in the spot she recommended and let the ramp down. "I'll be monitoring, take care." she waves.
Deathstroke: Black Jack sat at his desk with a cigar in his mouth." You really trust her going in there talking to him, what if they are planning something in telepathy?" Lincoln looked to Black Jack" You worry to much. She's loyal." Black Jack shrugged."I still don't like this, It was bad enough she was brought on the team knowing what she is, but then Waller brings him down here and fires 6 of of us. I mean He's Superman he can break out of here and blow our cover." Lincoln looked away from Black Jack" He won't" Fixing his red tinted shades." Even if he breaks out he will never tell anyone what we are." Jack takes a puff." An' how do you know that?" Lincoln smirked" Cause Waller trusts him not to. He knows We are basically The Men in Black with better toys." Jack looked up." Really Lincoln...I figured you for watching World War 2 movies not that..And you forgot better suits." -As the JAvelin landed within the airspace a red light flashed in the main rooms of the underground base." We have company
Deathstroke: ." Black Jack smirked"Want me to deal with them?" Lincoln shook his head" No just wait."
Captain Marvel: Grins and walks onboard the Javalin wondering what he should do to cause people to actually come to the top and see what was going on. He straps himself in. "I will have to challenge this thing to a race sometime then Batman." He chuckled trying to keep the atmosphere a little light hearted, despite the situation they were about to go in. "Is this thing capable of knocking out communications? I bet it is." He was a bit nervous but tremendously excited. He sat back as they shot forward at Mach 4 down to the surface. Once it landed, Marvel stood up and walked down to the sand feeling the heat already. "Man this is when I wish I had Poseidon in me. Where's that Aqua lad fellow when you need him?" He took off into the air kicking up sand before streaking into the sky causing the boom to echo out across the area. He came back down which accompanied another one and slowed down and began going in circles to create a sand tornado. Hey it wasn't much but hopefully it'd get their attention and-
Captain Marvel: provide cover for Batman. (end)
Priss: “Uh-huh and you have been stuck there for how long? You don’t have to lie to me you know, I can see right through you.” She tips her soda can towards him. I think you just need someone to talk to, and not about whatever they want to know either, Mr. Bigshot superhero.” She says with a slight wink. Looking up as the light came on.”I have no clue what that means…”
-Batman observed the area and saw that it was a hidden underground location. Batman stood up and began walking towards the ramp when he heard Captain Marvel speaking, Batman thought his words were ridiculous, but his emotion was restrained.- “Aqua-Lad? Don’t get too carried away with names. It’s pushing it with yours.” –Batman stepped out onto the desert looking at the entrance where there was no sign at all of the facility. Batman smirked and said.- “Plan B…Captain, care to make an opening for us?” –Batman tapped his helmet and spoke. –“Black Canary, get airborne and provide cover for Captain Marvel.” –Batman gestured for Captain Marvel to blast open the facility’s underground entrance.-
Black Canary: As soon as Batman and Captain Marvel were off the Javelin the ramp slid back up. "Okay Batman, I'm on it." she waited until they had cleared her area and the ship lifted up and took off slowly, still in stealth mode. She followed Mavel at a safe distance going a bit higher than him, watcing him swirl up some sand tornados. She ran a scanner sweep. "I am not picking up anything yet Batman. No signs of life except for some lizards."
Captain Marvel: He slows down and skids to a stop next to Batman and looks around. "Where do you want me to make a entrance point Batman?" There's nothing here to indicate it exists. But..." he walks over to a spot tapping it lightly with his foot. He zips back into the air and stops seeing the black spot of Batman standing out in the desert then dove back down bringing his hands out in front of him and slams down into the ground hoping to have hit the facility or, well, something.
Deathstroke: (Captain Marvel crashes into the sand, creating a massive wave of sand flying into the air. the hole slowly begins to fill up with sand but the wave uncovers what appears to be metal under the surface about 5 feet from where he hit.)
Superman: "Didn't know you had x-ray vision," he commented, smirking a bit as he tried to keep the situation somewhat light. "And to answer your question: two weeks, three days, 14 hours, 24 minutes, and 3...4...5..6 seconds. Now 7." He smiled a bit at her as he took another drink, acting as though everything he had just said was as natural as eggs and bacon for breakfast. When the light came one, his eyes flicked to it and then back to Voodoo. "Hmm..." turning his gaze up he attempted to peer through the walls of the cell and around the facility, looking for any sign or actual information he could gather as to what was going on.
Captain Marvel: He turns his head to spot the door a few feet from him and presses his ear piece. "Hey Batman, I found the door but as soon as I break into this thing, they are probably going to come running like ants." He makes his way over to the metal and slams a fist into it and makes a hole then flies out the actual doors so Batman can have a clear path inside.
Priss: Looked away" Well I sort of do, They call it the Sight, I can see the truth about anyone. Like say someone is shape shifted, I can see what they really are, or is someone is possessed I can see what is inside of them." She looked to the light again, and she sighed"Probably another drill. "
Deathstroke: (as Marvel hits the door he indeed puts a hole into it, hitting another piece of metal on the other side , a loud screec is heard like metal scrapping metal quickly for about a mile down. You just destroyed the Elevator.)
Deathstroke: Redlights begin to flash" Warning, Warning Main entrance comprimised" A computerized female voice goes through the entire complex. "Razors, You heard the Lady. I want whatever is coming into this base taken care of." Lincoln looked to Black Jack." It's them, his friends." Lincoln smirks. Black Jack shrugged" I don't know why your in a good mood, but it doesn't matter if Iit's the goddamned robot that attacked Korea, It's going down!" He ran out the door and towards the entrance He saw the elevator crashed" Are you alright men?" The heavily armored Razors nodded." Flynn, Magnus get ready."
-Batman arrived to hearing the scream and echoing. Moaning of the facility crumbling as the weight of the elevator caused a hollowed moan before crashing down in a symphony of clattering. Batman looked down the hole to see dust and debris, his expression was sorrowful, as if he was currently at a funeral. Black gloves tapped the side of his helmet causing his eyes to light up into a blue color, a layout of the shaft occurred on his screen allowing him to see into the darkness.- “Detective vision, on.” –A feminine voice spoke to him quietly and softly. The blue screen marked with white outlining tracers indicated that the smoke from the sand and the debris falling below caused 100% visibility reduction along with no sign of people. Batman looked to Marvel.- “Follow me down…” –Batman tapped his helmet.- “Canary, fall back and await our signal…” –Batman then reached to the bottom of his shoe to pull out an M200 sonic, he dropped it on the ground nearby the entrance before<c>
Lifting his foot to step into the hole. His cape flapped as he fell towards the bottom, lifting his arms in a hulking manner his fall would snare and he would land on top of a metal plate. He came to spot a door that was connected to the elevator. He approached the electrical terminal and pulled his pocket utility knife off his belt. He opened the panel and examined the wiring, he began splitting the wires and crossing their connections; it might’ve taken a bit of time but, his reason was justified. When he was done the doors would open and were unable to close.-
Captain Marvel: Floats down after Batman coming to rest alongside Batman just as the voice through the complex goes and alerts everyone of their presence. "Alright well, we're inside. Wasn't what I was expecting to be honest but let's get Superman and get the hell out of here." he dusts his hands off on each other to look around at the floor they were on. Besides the blinking red lights there was a T hallway in front of them as you would step out of the elevator and then another T section at the end of the hallway.
Deathstroke: "What the hell is that?" The larger man in armor yelled out. Black Jack smirked "Won't even have to put my cigar out." He moved towards Batman, when he saw MArvel." Damnit...Commander, We got Supers attacking." Lincoln growled" Take care of them. " Lincoln said calmy."Jack smirked as black energy surrounded him Magnus Flynn, take care of that one I'll handle the big guy." He popped his neck." Your tresspassing, on government property...Now your gonna die!" He blasted at Marvel with his negative energy blasts. While Magnus and Flynn circled the Bat, and began to fire lasers from their armor's hands."Die you bloody traitor! " Flynn yelled out as Magnus said" I'm gonna mount his head on my wall!"
Captain Marvel: He throws up his arms to take most of the hit and slides back slightly. He throws off what he could though and flies towards Black Jack bringing his right hook back and slamming it across the other's face then brings up his left to uppercut him. Hopefully Jack had to be stationary to use those attacks so Marvel would keep him busy. "Why don't you give Superman back and we will leave the rest of your facility in tact!" he attaches this comment to a kick, bringing up his left leg to hit Jack into a wall.
Superman: "I... see.." he said, instantly put on the defensive a bit again. That power of her's could prove... to be a pain so to speak if it was as powerful as it possibly seemed to be. Clark lived three different lives with deception being what allowed him to seperate his time as Kal-El, Clark Kent, and Clark. Without the facades he had created then all of his life was an open book and anyone who he had ever had contact with as Kent or himself, would be in danger from the enemies of all three sides. When the crashing sounds from above came, his eyebrows furrowed and his face turned to stone, "I think not and that... this base is being attacked."
-Batman narrowed his eyes as the guards, bright blue lens from his eyes made him appear just as supernatural as the Black Razor’s had looked. Batman tumbled across and in front of Captain Marvel hoping the they would try shooting a “2-1” opportunity, as Batman rolled across the floor his cape spread giving Marvel a split second of distraction time for him to make his move. Batman hurled two Snap flashes towards the first Black Razor, who was focused Captain Marvel, the snap flash would stick to any surface it came into contact with a .5 delay before firing off, sized like a hockey puck, the devices thruster would ignite and hurl its attached target towards a nearby wall at a speed of 15 mph each. Immediately following this action Batman ducked behind a pillar and prepared two solid Batarangs, sharp and intending to cut any guns or other weaponry. <c>
The detective vision allowed him to locate exactly how many hostiles were in the area, if they had actual firearms, the Detective vision would lock in on those people and directly highlight them as armed. Blasts had flown around the room, but Batman had avoided being directly hit as one or two shots struck his cape searing it.-
Priss: She face palms "This is just great.." She sighed, I don't have my armor, it's on the upper level So I'm guarding you if anyone asks."She said with a wink. BJ can handle it I'm sure."
Deathstroke: Black Jack looked back as something was slapped on his back, taking the punch from Captain Marvel then being sent flying across the room by the disc, leaving a dent in the 3 foot thick solid steel walls. The batarangs would contact with the armor and bounce off." Nice try Little man...Our armor is stronger than your toys. " Lincoln pressed a button on his headset." Waller, yeah they are here. ..... Yes Ma'am. ....Are you certain of that last part. You know it won't kill him....Right.." Black Razors Suit up and hit the entrance with full force. You've got 5 minutes."
Captain Marvel: Marvel doesn't let up on the punches and keeps slamming them across his face. Obviously he could take the hits so Marvel picked up his strength a bit shaking the walls slightly. He taps his earpiece one before bringing another fist into Jack's stomach then quickly and elbow to the back of his head. "Batman. What do we do now? They're probably going to keep us pinned here!"
Priss: "So do you want the bad news or the worse news first?" She looked to him as she stood from her position shifting her hand into claws and slicing through the bars. She moved to unlock his shackles." The just set off some kindof self destruct sequence, Worse news we are 3 floors below the top level...and a mile below the surface. " She tried to unlock his shackles untils he got it right." So we need to get out of here now...we have 5 minutes." She started to run for the door once she had set him free."Come on Big Guy!"
-He listened to Black Jack taunting, not exactly paying mind, but his conversation with Amanda Waller. Upon hearing Captain Marvel speaking, Batman began moving to relocate towards another hallway, leading away from Captain Marvel.- “See if you can handle these men chasing me, I’m going to find Superman…” –Batman tapped his wrist console and activated a counting at 4:50 seconds, adjusting for the time lost already. Batman activated the outside M200. He came to an elevator and quickly jumped inside of it to press a button leading to the lowest floor to buy him time. Batman exhaled to catch his breath from the running. Batman took the opportunity to adjust his belt pockets and arm his explosive batarangs.- ‘6…I need to use these….’ –Batman froze when he realized something.- <C>
-He pulled out a sonic Batarang and attached it to the wall of the elevator before tapping into his wrist console an S.O.S code into .00 decimals. The message would read.- “<Where are you?>” –Very short and to the point.-
Deathstroke: Black Jack spits blood after the last attack."Goddamnit Lincoln! Magnus, Flynn get top side now!" " Flynn stops firing at Batman as he runs down the hall." But Sir." Black Jack grabs Flynn and Tosses him towards the elevator Shaft Now. ALL RAZORS GET OUT OF HERE NOW...LINCOLN'S GONNA BLOW THIS PLACE SKY HIGHM WE AREN'T GOIN" DOWN WTH THE SHIP, LET THE CAPES HAVE SUPERMAN!"Lincoln moved into a special bunker he had made, which was built with an elevator to the surface. "What if they escape Waller?" Waller patched through..."I'm counting on it...Superman not answering our questions told enough."
Captain Marvel: Follows after Batman letting the others leave for now. The priority was getting Superman out. He flies down the elevator shaft and stops at the lowest level he could find and breaking the doors open and flying through hoping to have found the level they were on. "Superman! Are you down here?! This place is going to blow sky high!"
Superman: His eyes looked to Voodoo as she ran towards him and grabbed his arms to start undoing the shackles. "What are you...?" he asked, looking to the woman as she spoke. His faced hardened once more as he heard the words self destruct. Grabbing Voodoo once he was free, Superman darted like a blur through the halls when he heard them: Three heart beats, two he knew and one... was Batman. The normally calm, peaceful crystal blue eyes of the Man of Steel darkened. The fool... he thought to himself as Marvel burst through the doors. Stopping dead on the ground, his face was stone as he set Voodoo down, "Marvel, grab Batman and this woman and get them to safety." Kal-El's voice was cold and hard as he cursed them on the inside. They didn't see it... they had played into Waller's hands perfectly. Turning without allowing word to be spoken to him, Superman darted back into the base. Whatever this explosive(s) was/were, he needed to find them. Whatever this base was, aside from a jail
Superman: and headquarters for some group that Waller was involved with, the fact that it had a self destruct meant they were intending on wiping everything out which could cause who knew what kind of damage. He was blur of red and blue, moving as fast as he could towards the last location of the mystery heart beat he had heard, all the while using his hearing and vision powers to try and locate the bomb(s).
-Batman narrowed his eyes seeing Superman carrying Voodoo. Listening to Superman’s instruction Batman would say.- “You have 2 minutes left before they initiate their protocol…” –Batman offered to grab hold of Captain Marvel’s shoulder as he examined Voodoo.- ‘Another prisoner or Superman being the ‘good’ guy again.’ –Once they were out of the facility, Batman signaled for Black Canary to bring the Javelin into the airspace for their team to jump on board.-
-Batman sat in the laboratory of the Batcave, his eyebrows furrowed as his fingers tapped across the keyboard Harold’s wrench clicking against metal of a car engine ever so often had hardly fazed Batman as his eyes moved across the screen.- “Amanda Waller…” –Her profile on public Government files were few and far between, referencing Senators, directors, and other Government elected officials. She was definitely connected with some powerful people that kept her name “officially” undercover and hidden. He was tempted to break into the Government database, but he feared it was too soon since the other night’s events. Alfred came walking over to Batman from behind. <c>
“I suppose you’re happy, now that Superman is free?” –Batman stiffened his jaw.- “No…I…am grateful he is no longer a prisoner, but I think there’s more to it. I think Fate gave me the coordinates not to rescue Superman…” “Sir…?” “I think Fate knew there was more going on there than Superman’s prison cell.” –Alfred examined his white gloved finger nails.- “I suppose it is rather foolish to expect a Government top secret facility to be capable of detaining the Man of Steel, hm?” –Batman leaned to the side of his chair and propped his chin upon his hand while his elbow posted on the armrest.- “Amanda Waller…” –The name came to his lips again.-
Lois Lane: She sat at home on the couch, the shrill ringing of her home phone still echoing in her ears though she turned the ringer off hours ago. Her laptop sat on her crossed legs as she smashed the keys down forcefully as she typed, coffee sitting forgotten on the table beside of her couch. Perry had accepted her taking a sick day, unexpectedly, still glowing over her current, no doubt soon to be prize winning article on the true identity of Wonder Woman, but instead of laying in bed, trying to catch up on many hours of lost sleep she sat there, working. Glancing at her cell phone that was on vibrate she wondered if Diana would call her again, or simply just show up, her insides still boiled with anger, at not just the Amazon but at the whole situation and had done little to calm since she had called Diana for the last time and decided to go ahead with the article. The few days had felt like weeks, and Lois brought her hand up to rub at her tired blue eyes, she was just ready for the whole mess to blow over.
Superman: He stood in the satellite, dubbed the “Watchtower” apparently, and he looked around at it all with a mixture of understanding that it was a use but disgust that this was set up in secret. He had been during its setup and so trusted Batman with everything. That had been a wonderful idea it seemed, but hindsight was almost always twenty-twenty and there was nothing that could be done about it now. At least it was known now… that was something. With a shake of his head, Clark moved to the main computer, taking a seat and hitting a few keys to start it up. In the time that it took to boot, he decided that it was best to catch up on all the events he missed while incarcerated and to start with Metropolis. For the first couple of days everything that came up was expected but then one day, the headline of the Daily Planet hit him harder than a left uppercut from Mongul. His mouth went dry, his stomach sank and he felt a numbness fall over him like a tidal wave, “She didn’t… not that…”
“What’s wrong, sir?” –Alfred’s British upbringing brought a certain amount of classiness to his kind spoken words. Batman studied the documents in front of him.- “What were you trying to tell me, Fate?” “Sir, I don’t mean to distract you from your current task, BUT…I do believe there is a certain Witch from the Odyssey that you should be focusing your efforts.” –Batman gazed at Alfred to blankly watch him. Alfred began folding his hands into each other and brought them to rest in front of his stomach.- “The Government is *small* compared-…” “-…To the bigger picture. Alfred, I’m not sure I believe Circe *is* a god, Alfred. She uses magic, something that even *I* can do…She just perfects her skill as an Artisan would their craft or a surgeon and their precision…”
Deathstroke: The phone rings and Slade looks at the caller ID. "Who gave you this number and who is this?" He listens to the man speak." Sir I am Franklin Piers I would figure the Greatest assassin alive would have caller ID." Slade smirked" Caller ID doesn't show who's calling it only shows who the phone company wants you to think is calling...So Piers What do you want?" Piers chuckled "Well I represent someone who would like to hire you, This is a government contract, and you will be paid very well..." He glared looking at the phone..." Tell Waller if she wants to hire me to call me herself, Don't send lackies to do it." He disconnects the call.
Wonder Woman: He would hear her coming behind her, the heartbeat, the gait and swing of her steps, they were unique to her. She heard his disappointed voice and shook her head. “Her intentions were good,” the Princess admitted, reaching out to touch his shoulder, but stopping herself. Diana took a deep breath, rubbing her elbow. “It took a few days of hard work to realize this,” the woman pushed forward, standing close behind Clark. She wore her typical uniform, the blue skirt with white stars, red boots and red bustier, though she had travelled to the Watch Tower as Diana the Ambassador, wearing a pressed skirt suit, dark blue with a crisp white shirt. Her hair was still pulled back away from her face. “I hope, given time, you can forgive her,” this time Diana did reach out and press a hand to Clark’s shoulder, her hand on the far side, her forearm draping along the back of his neck and to his opposite shoulder. “Ultimately, you’re back, and for that I- we – are all relieved... I wish I could have been more useful. Marvel and Batman were rash in their attack on the prison, but... perhaps sometimes the ends justify the means.” <e>
Superman: He felt sick for the first time in a long while and it only grew worse the longer that he stared at the screen. “How…” he whispered, as his ears caught the sound of the news saying his name. The Planets broadcaster began rattling off that Superman had been cleared of all charges, unknown as they were, and an apology for the inconvenience. Waller had kept her word, even though he knew that she would it still sometimes surprised him a bit. Clark closed his eyes and sat back in the chair, fists clenching together as he worked to calm himself. Diana’s heartbeat hit his ears, but his brain didn’t register her presence until her hand was on his shoulder; too caught up with the sight of the story. “Some of the worst atrocities in history were committed with the best of intentions…” he responded darkly, eyes closed as his head dropped forward. “You may forgive her… that’s your decision. I… I can’t,” Clark continued. Even if it wasn’t his identity that had been revealed, he still felt
Superman: betrayed. Lois’ understanding and ability to keep identities a secret was backed by his word. Ousting Diana, especially knowing how new to the world that she was… he couldn’t manage to even form a sentence in his head about this… just words. As the shock and sickness began to subside, anger began to replace it. Lana would never have done this... She had kept his secret for years, even when they were not together. She had kept Diana's secret, even helped her adapt to this world. Lana had gone to the grave with their secrets.
Deathstroke: Doctor Fate: None do more ill than those perpetually endeavoring to do “good”.
Wonder Woman: She smiled and shook her head, slipping her hand to the back of his head, gently brushing the short hairs there. “I will stand by you through this, and her,” Diana smiled. She seemed to have matured, aged during the last few weeks. She had been forced to grow up faster than she had ever had, coming to terms with what might have been a new reality without Clark, a new reality that saw her open, bare and exposed to the world. She had come to terms with it, and Clark would come to it as well. Perhaps the way she went about it was wrong, but as Diana was quickly learning, sometimes the ends justified the means. She longed to talk to him, to ask what happened, but those details would need to take time, he was raw from what he had just learned, and there was a prisoner on the satellite as well who needed tending to. Diana found herself at a loss of words; she didn’t want to, nor could she find the words to, leave him just yet.
Captain Marvel: Comes down out of his room in the WT and down to where Diana and Clark were talking. He didn't really want to get involved in their conversation right now but he did let them know he was around by waving over at them but staying out of earshot. There wasn't much to do until Batman showed up again or Superman decided to call a meeting and make a move.
Priss: sat in the cell wondering why they had put her in there. Traded a gilded cage for a normal one…This was great. “Anybody there? Lightning man? Pointy ear man? Anybody?” She sighed and moved to sit down. “Why am I a prisoner here?!? I did break Superman out when the thing was about to blow up…” She growled curses under her breath.
Lois Lane: As she continued to work on her computer a notification popped up on the lower right corner of her screen, signaling an e-mail from Jimmy. Moving her mouse down, she clicked on the notification and her e-mail popped on screen, all it read was “Press release, Superman has been cleared of all charges.” He was still angry with her, hell half of the world was angry with her. The information made her heart twist in her chest, he was free, cleared of all charges, whatever they were. Lois let out a slow breath and pushed her laptop off of her lap slowly and onto the couch beside her as she leaned forward and grabbed the cup of cold coffee, taking a drink. She didn’t taste the liquid as it moved across her tongue, slid down her throat and sat uncomfortably in her stomach. He hadn’t come to see her, though he probably had plenty to do, it still felt uneasy. Glancing to the left her eyes landed on the picture of her and her partner at the Planet and slowly she closed her eyes.
Superman: He stood up slowly, stepping away from Diana’s arm, “Check on Voodoo, the woman in the cell. And let her out. She tried to help me.” With those words said, he walked away from Marvel and Diana with a brisk pace. He needed to get out of here, get into the open and away from everything. Within minutes he reached the Javelin bay and exited the Watchtower, darting through space and speed faster than most beings could hope to keep up with. Clark went to the one refuge that he had from everyone, where he could be himself completely and in safety: his Fortress. He needed to shower, shave, clean himself from everything and disappear into his work.
Wonder Woman: She nodded and watched him disappear, keeping her emotions off her face as he walked away. She looked at Marvel. “I do not think we have officially met,” she nodded. “And tonight might not be a time to do it; I am going to go check on Voodoo.” She left Marvel alone, not in the mood to be around the newbie, not that she really wanted to be around a prisoner either. She entered the brig; there was only one occupied cell, making it easy to discern who he meant even without knowing anything about her. Diana stopped in front of the cell. "Mister Marvel and Batman are occupied; Superman is as well. I am sorry; you'll have to make due with me." Diana offered a gentle half smile. "I am under the impression you tried to help Superman..." Her voice went up slightly with an implied question.
Zatanna Z: Zatanna had actually returned to her home after spending countless hours in Fate's tower. However, sleep was essential... and she'd prefer to sleep in her bed rather than curled up in a pile of books. For now, however, she actually was just relaxing in her home... doing some minor tending to her stage equipment...oiling blades and sharpening them. No, they didn't need to be sharp for their purposes on stage but Zatanna liked the realism of knowing that if something went wrong, it would actually go wrong instead of just looking like a 'trick'. Adding danger to the whole affair made it worth it. Idly listening to the television in the other room as she pulled the oil cloth across the blade, she thought she'd heard something about Superman...but it'd gone by too quickly for her to catch it. A few backwards words and the segment repeted itself. -c-
Zatanna Z: Arrested? Oh, that was right, he was the one fate was telling her to give information to batman about. Hm. Apparently she was more focussed on her studies than she'd originally thought, not even realizing that Clark was the one in jail. "What did you do, farm boy." She mumbled quietly, shaking her head as she kept working on the blades. -d-
Priss: She glanced up "If by help you mean talk to him, bring hin junk food, and let him out to save myself and him then yes I helped him" She gave a genuine smile" In all seriousness I heard that the place was going to explode so I figured I'd break him out.I didn't know if he could survive a nuclear reactor exploding right under him or not." She paused and she said" Wonder Woman right?"
Wonder Woman: She nodded. “He might have, but better you let him out,” she said, opening the door. “Yes, I am Wonder Woman,” she said. “You must be hungry,” she said, extending a hand, gesturing for Voodoo to step out in front of her. “Let me show you to the cafeteria.”
Priss: Steps out of the cell, and she pops her next pushing the wrinckles out of the purple fabric." You know for good guys, you have a hell of a way to treat guests." She smiled showing there was no bad feelings about being tossed into a cell." No I'm not really hungry, I wasn't in there long, besides I have had enough cafeteria food to last a life time.
